I do like when I feel like someone can make a decision for me. It's a lack of responsibility on my part if things go wrong. It's about 3 minutes in and you already have me flashing light bulbs in my head. Very needed. I will continue watching now :D

Hey! I'm so sorry I don't know anything about official documentation for getting into the UK. However if you plan on teaching yoga here, a copy of your certificates and insurance documentation is usually asked for by studios :)

Hey Lydia! My first group clients were all friends, family, acquaintances… then went onto friends of friends etc and then people who found me on Instagram… it slowly but surely starts to grow. Honestly word of mouth has been the best for me :) Really hope that helps! Xxx
How were you able to gain 1:1 clients? Did you have clients before you started teaching at a studio regularly? This video was really helpful! I would love to have my own studio or at least private clients some day so I am trying to gain all the knowledge I can to get there!
Hey Lauren! I taught my own group classes first before I approached studios.... Although own group classes tends to make more money, I found the studio classes good to finding 1:1 clients and corporate clients. I offer my private services via my website and social media, as well as on my mailer sometimes (I don't go for a hard sell, because it is pricey and a very personal choice to pick a 1:1 yoga teacher). I also sometimes mention it after class, just to let people know :) Hope that helps and best of luck! Keep spreading the good yogi vibes! xxx

That sounds great! So lovely to hear new opportunities are opening up for you. Most of my corporate clients have been through, people coming to my regular classes, then recommending me to their work, social media has gotten me a few too as at the time it was good for SEO and my website would come up for the area I lived in. I've also gotten some through networking and linkedin - Hope that helps!! x
Thanks very much for the great video! I’ve heard that yoga business generally does not generate an above average income? Is that correct? Or do we have to put in a lot of time and effort into it? TIA
Hey Vishwa! I would say (in my experience), it's as up and down as any other self employed / freelance person (my boyfriend is a freelance photographer).... Sometimes I make way more than what I was making at a 9-5 job in London.... Sometimes it's less 😅 I think I'm getting good at riding the waves (and learning to save!).... Having more stable and consistent incomes helps, for example: I get corporate companies to book in for classes between 1-6 months at a time, Regular private clients was great when I worked IRL and online income from affiliate links (recommending yoga mats and props etc) and of course this UA-cam channel. I really hope that helps and wishing you all the best on your journey ❤️ xxx
Hey! The course? Yes, I believe this is the way you get certified (to show studios and gyms you are qualified to teach) - But I'm sure there are some amazing teachers that aren't certified in the world :) x
