Great tips, Lydia! 😀 This video is going to help others who sadly find themselves in similar situations.
Thanks, Sandra! I definitely hope so. Although, I wish that no one had to learn these things.
We had a house fire the week of Dec. 2021 and just got back into our home. I had NO idea we could claim this. Thank you!
I am not an expert on the ALE, but yes for sure ask! I would love to hear what all they will do for you.
You have learned so much from this trial! It is good that you are sharing this with others.
Thanks, I hope others can learn from what we learned. ♥️
Great advice, another great video.
what about food and groceries?
Ask! Ours weren't covered since they were things that we would have to buy anyways, but the worst they can tell you is no!
This wasn’t helpful at all. It doesn’t address the process of getting ALES approved.
I am sorry you didn't find it helpful. Getting approved is going to all depend on your insurance company. Let me know if you have any specific questions.
@@drivensaver7926 I’m sorry but you are misinformed. Getting approved does not depend on your insurance company because most claims adjusters are independent contractors regardless of who you are insured by. Claims are often regulated and approved by both the policy coverage and applicable state laws.
Thanks for the information. I am not an insurance expert, just sharing about our experience.
Yes and No. When something happens to your home that is typically sudden and accidental and you have insurance you file a claim with your home owners insurance. You are given a claims adjuster who works for your insurance company. Yes your right to coverage is according to your policy and policy language, but you have to work with your insurance claims adjuster to get coverage and payout for the damages to your home. If you don’t get the insurance to do this on their own accord you face court fees and so forth to get them to do what they are supposed to according to your policy which could lower your settlement to fix your house and defeat the purpose and drag out the process and expenses. So it’s in your best interest to avoid all of that. Often times because the claims adjuster works for the insurance company they are trying to save the insurance company money and will try to take advantage of you to accomplish that.
