European here. Never heard of this guy but was very impressed, he actually seems human and caring and I 100% agree that making sure kids have a healthy lunch is important. I am originally from the UK , my parents had 5 children and money was tight. Having free school lunches sure helped and I remember them with fondness…also a free carton of milk to make sure we were getting enough calcium. Now, all those 5 children are working, paying taxes and having large families themselves. It is a win-win situation. Why can’t some Americans see that?

I was surprised at Jake Tapper's not so friendly, persistent and debate-like questioning. Walz'es spontaneous yet thoughtful responses along with his infectious smile won me over. He is authentic, has proven himself an accomplished governor, and would be a great pick for Harris.
Underrated moment here: when Walz corrected Tapper's OVER selling of Walz' military record. That he was supporting the Afghanistan effort from Europe, not in-country there. European here. Never heard of this guy but was very impressed, he actually seems human and caring and I 100% agree that making sure kids have a healthy lunch is important. I am originally from the UK , my parents had 5 children and money was tight. Having free school lunches sure helped and I remember them with fondness…also a free carton of milk to make sure we were getting enough calcium. Now, all those 5 children are working, paying taxes and having large families themselves. It is a win-win situation. Why can’t some Americans see that?
