How To Save Solaire (How To Do Solaire's Quest) | Dark Souls Remastered
Вставка
- Опубліковано 13 чер 2018
- In this video I show you how to save solaire of astora. To do it, you need to meet solaire in all 3 locations: Undead Burg, Anor Londo, and Right before Lost Izalith. After that you'll need to join the chaos servant covenant and rank up to max rank. To rank up in the covenant you have to offer 30 humanity. I show you a good place to farm humanity in the video. Leveling up this covenant will unlock a shortcut in demon ruins where you will find a sunlight maggot. If you kill the sunlight maggot before you reach Lost Izalith, Solaire will be saved and you can summon him for the final boss fight.

No problem sun bro
\[T]/
13:34 "Is completely optional" Like hell it is
It is only option for true knights.
We owe him
I cried he just died in mine and I saw this video I couldn't save him this time
The only way
Saving him is opitional... for those heartless people
Well, it is "Dark souls" :D
I accidentally didn't save him multiple times.
People who didn't know how to finish his questline:
👀
well he will probably go hollow anyways as he seams to have lost the will to go on right?
@@Isamu1013 no. He's just sad for a bit, but then he realizes that he can be the sun by linking the fire.
Alternate title: saving private Solaire
yessir
😂
Step 1: talk to solaire at all his locations until Anor Londo
Step 2: offer 30 humanities to the daughter of chaos
Step 3: before you fight the firesage demon go down the tree branch on your right and open the gate
Step 4: kill all the maggots until one of them drops the “sunlight maggot”
Step 5: PRAISE THE SUN
Thanks
you can actually cheese this event as well, without humanity farming:
#1 grab pyromancy flame
#2 get poison mist in the swamp
#3 position yourself on this very door - facing it
#4 cast poisen mist "through" that door
#5 maggots will eventually die - sound and souls gain will imply your success
talk to solair at centipede
attention - do not talk to him before you killed the maggots
I don’t want to like because there are already 69 likes ;)
This is really helpful thank you. I'm playing this now for my first time and my friend asked me if i fought him yet - basically spoiling the game a bit for me. I've just beaten ceaseless discharge so I'm a while away from it yet.
I should;
Play as normal until Anor Londo - then farm Humanities to level up the covenant. Make sure not to talk to him after centipede. Kill the maggots before the firesage demon.
That should save Solaire? Is it possible to do his questline and Onion Bros in this playthrough?
@@aK1baby you can also use the drake swords 2 handed r2 attack.
Killing the Sunlight Maggots for their medals was so satisfying for everything they've done.
"No one will coop 30 times"
(Laughs in co-oping the whole game with 2 friendsl)
Finally farmed until 32 souls, offered 30 to the daughter of chaos and I'm currently rewatching to know the path to the Maggot and kill him, thanks.
souls... rip
Humanity, not souls. 32 souls ain't worth shit.
Damn farming 32 souls must be hard 🤣
@@shanx9750it’s a mod where you only get fractions of souls from regular enemies...
in 2k18 everyone knows that solair is the good guy PRAISE THE SUN
you’re god damn right
The covenant is actually optional.
You can cheese this by going to the door. Instead of opening it, you shoot poison or toxic mist through it and kill the bugs. You will not get the Sunlight Maggot this way, but you do spare Solaire without having to farm humanity.
I find it easier just to do the use quantity/brightness screen glitch for the humanity lol
Thx bro, I have killed queelag and I didn’t want to start over
i watched this video literally after talking to solaire and going to list izalith. rip solaire
that stone wall near quelaag's sister is where a corpse will spawn if you kill kirk in all 3 locations
Sans The skeleton came here to say this lol
What do you get for killing him all 3 times?
@@matthewwicker8476 his armour set
Well this has nothing to do with solai but good to know
Oh, so I can't save him in my save.....
Seriously considering starting over.
Aima Zero new game plus dude
I don't think most of us saved him during our first playthrough. I had no clue anything would happen to my sunbro
Just start a new playthrough with a different build like every other Souls player
@@minecraftslover i killed th fire keeper so now i can't save him😢
@@sub7se7en I sure did not lol I saw him sitting at that bonfire after killing the Centipede, talked to him, he didnt really say anything useful so I kept going, I actually never encountered him cause I never joined that covenant and I didnt kill that scorpion dude either that's on the other side
i saved him in my first blind playthrough. i had over 30 humaninty and i didnt know what to do so i spend it all in her......... i would say best investment ever
HmmI think you're lying because having lots of "active" humanity (number in top left corner) is very difficult especially on your first playthrough and most would not waste humanity or souls on something they don't know.... The game hardly tells you anything lol
@@Hopeinawe i didn't had it active just in my inventory
@@Hopeinawe I opened the short cut on my 1st run I never used humanities for healing and I didn't know about kindling the bonfire I just thought it was for becoming human after death and an emergency healing items if you were close to beating a tough boss. Other players left notes saying things about humanity on the ground beside her. I opened the short cut and skipped those bosses because I had a hard time with the run to the fog gate I would often be down to 1 or 2 estus and was getting beaten every try I would get close but never beat him my first run. Eventually I explored the path to the right of the gate after many attempts and I found out the door was open i didn't know why at the time but I eventually found out it was because I gave her humanities. But here's the kick in the nuts on my first run when I met solaire I only talk to him one time so I didn't actually start his questline. You have to exhaust his dialog lines and then he appears in other spots and is available to summon I didn't do that so I never saw him again. Another thing on my first run I hit the guy in the barrel with my sword trying to free him and he became hostile so pyromancy wasn't available until I beat quelaag and talked to her sisters servant thing. It's honestly good because that's the only reason I joined that covenant in the first place. I figured I would get Pyromancy as the covenant reward and I needed that guy for leveling my flame.
Buuuuuuullshit
@@Khonnell66 As a first-timer I would say that it is true. New players almost don't use humanity at all because "it's the thing that makes you go human and you lose it after you die". It mostly serves as an emergency estus lol
Just go farm the baby skeletons in Tomb of the giants where the multiple pinwheel sub bosses are before Nito’s fog wall. That will get you all the humanity and souls you’ll ever need. They keep respawning. Make sure you use the two handed style with Queelags Fury Sword to attack them because it hits them easily considering they’re tiny and low to the ground.
Came here to say this. You can easily keep yourself afloat the entire time too by consuming the humanity as needed when you run out of estus. I did it with the Lucerne, I think the scythe works well too (been a while though).
Edit: auto correct didn't like estus.
Exactly, faster farming method than killing rats in depths
Guys you can save solaire without the chaos Covenant just use poison or toxic cloud and it dies and solaire is saved!!! (Edit) you have to use toxic or poison cloud through the wall I did it and I saved him
I am still on my fist play through of dark souls 1 and I am now sad to find out I probably have to kill solaire but I'm glad I searched this up so when I play through the game again I can save him thank you for your wisdom
Same i have already visted lost izi and when i returned solair wasnt there, thou after this point i killed the maggot using poison mist through the door. I guess i have to finish him off.
I actually made it to lost izalith before saving solair. Deciding to immediately head back was the best choice I ever made in this game as thankfully solair was still there. Watched this guide got humanity and killed the dirty sunlight maggot. Great guide and thank you!
thank you so much, when I first beat dark souls I was thinking about what became of solaire.....now I'm making it my main priority to save him....shame for my friend who killed him at first sight though
I did all the steps but I didn't know I had to kill the sunlight maggot. RIP Solaire.
Rip sunbro, next playthings
Play through wtf lmao
Yeah, I think the Chasm of the Abyss is the best place to farm humanity. I average about 5 humanity a run with 360(?) item discovery.
If you want to farm humanity and don't mind doing a dupe glitch you can save a firekeeper soul/twin humanity to do the parry and riposte dupe glitch to get 30 humanity in a few minutes
@@toyota-peek easier than that is the arrow/prompt swap glitch
@@wholesomesunbro1 facts I didn’t know about that one in 2019
Another humanity farm is the dukes archive glitch.
When you get out seaths prison the game gives you a soft humanity. If you warp out and warp back in before u kill seath you get a soft humanity every time you warp back to the duke’s archives.
I fell in love with Dark Souls and Solaire. I played through the whole game with his armor set and equipment and ended up never beating the game because I didn’t want him to die lol. I never got around to doing this method and didn’t want to progress further.
The only way to get Solaire’s gear is to kill him
i like this tutorial, because you're voice sounds like... = Do this, but I did it before and i don't care right now
Perfect timing. I did Firesage and Centipede today then stopped and did other stuff in the game. By a stroke of luck I was directed to this video. I saved Solaire. Praise the sun.
I almost crossed the point of no return after the centipede, thx bro dude👌
There's also a bunch more rats if you go down to the lower level of the Depths. By where you enter Blighttown. Thanks for the videos!
Dude your videos are so helpful. Thank you!
Optional? This my first (late) playthrough of Dark Souls Remastered PS4. I have grown FEELINGS for Sun Bro. I just gave 30 humanity to the lady. This is the most important mission for me right now. Covid days are dark. Saving this man from madness is my destiny!
It's so cool that you can actually make yourself an ancillary character and allow Solaire to fulfill his destiny.
Ive done everything in the quest in my current playthrough spend the 30 humanity and went to the shortcut and the maggot was not there walked to the titanite demon but before the lost izalith qeue appear to search for the maggot but he was not there, looked back and the fucker was there right nearby a maggot solaire waiting for me, luckly for me i did save him in a previous playthrough and also im doing a pyromancer build so the humanity was not actually a waste cause i also wanted the spells from the lady
You don’t understand how much I love this god of a man that loves the sun more than me I’m willing to start a whole new game just to save him for he is our ☀️✨sunbro✨ ☀️
Thank you for the heart man! :)
the sun thanks Thou for telling me! I need to live on to play Dark Souls 2 and 3
3:35 OR you can save a firekeeper soul/twin humanity and do the parry dupe glitch to get to 30 humanity in like 2 minutes tops.
Does it work on console ¿
Yeah
@@TheGhostInitiative oh wow thx
That doesn't work on remastered tho
OOOOOOR YOU CAN DOO A USE ITEM QUANTITY BRIGHTNESS SETTINGS DUPE GLITCH WHICH WORKS ON PC AND CONSLE WHICH CAN GIVE YOU MAX HUMANITY
link: ua-cam.com/video/253tDHBY8Yw/v-deo.html
This was very helpful thank you for explaining the elevator demon trigger
You can actually use the drake sword R2 attack on that door and you hit the maggot boom you just save your 30 humanities
I also suggest that you offer the humanity only when you are ready to open the shortcut. Once the shortcut is open, you can now leave the covenant without worry. (Just realized this is remastered. My info is for original)
Power outage corrupted my first data, I lost solaire on that one but now my new one I will save him FOR THE GLORY OF COOPERATION
Thank you for this tutorial. I subbed and will be watching more!
Is a lot easier? What is easy about denying a glorious grossly incandescent unit the ability to find his sun?!
Thanks man 🙏
Great video. Explained very well! Sub granted
Saw this too late :( praise the run ☀️
I think I saved Solaire accidentally. I have the sunlight maggot, but I didn't see Solaire by the stairs.
Thanks for the information. Clear and to the point.
Thanks for the help bro
It is possible to do so without joining the Chaos Servant Covenant, however. Doing so requires a Pyromancy Flameand the Poison Mist pyromancy, which can be found on a corpse in the Blighttown swamp. White Dragon Breathwill work as well. Make your way to the shortcut door, and cast Poison Mist into the center of the door. It works best if you move yourself as close to the door as possible. Cast Poison Mist until you infect a mob on the other side, the target is aligned with the centre of the door. This mob is none other than the red eyed Chaos Bug that will drop the Sunlight Maggot. Once the Chaos Bug dies, you can continue on your way
Just letting anyone who wants to know which is a better humanity farm: the one in the dlc is really good i was using gold serpent ring no humanity down there and one run got 8 humanity, so you'd only have to go thru like 3 or 4 times to get 30 :)
Another good place to farm humanity is in the jail area of the Archive. At the bottom of the jail there are a ton of mutated enemies, blue and kinda squid like, they drop humanity pretty regularly.
Also wear the snake ring to increase the drop rate!
You dont need to use up all of your humanity for the short cut. At the short cut door just stand right in the middle and cast poison mist or toxic mist and that will kill the sunlight maggot. Thank me later 👍👍
I’m familiar with all the questlines in the Soulsborne games except for DS1, so this is helpful. Again, your videos are great. Thanks.
Always glad to help
What about if you don't talk to him in anor lando then go kill that thing then return and talk to him would he stay or he will leave ?
Nice Video BUT you can do this very easy with poisen Mist cast through the door, and watch till you get 100 Souls in NG. From the Sunlight Maggot you‘ll get more souls .
Thank you so much. I killed the fair lady in my NG+1 to see what would happen
after lost izolaith boss fight bed of chaos, where can i found astora
Props for Icy in the background
I guess you have to talk to him after the centipede demon because I didn't talk to him and he was hostile after I got the sunlight maggot. I never progressed past centipede, I just didn't talk to Solaire and went straight for the maggot. He was hostile after that.
Where could you find Solaire’s armor after saving him
Thanks for this! I just started a new game run and maybe I'll try to save him.
Ou shit, saw this too late but thanks for this Video. Now I know how it works, thats fine to me. A reason to play again 😅
I’m not sure if this is only in the original but you can save solaire with the poison mist Pyromancy or a certain Greatsword (I forgot which)
very cool video man.....
Im a bit late but the best place to farm humanity is before the Nico fight. Their are baby skeletons that a have infinite spawn time and will spawn every minute if you stay in the water on the lower level. 8 to 9 spawn at a time. Each will drop humanity 50%-70% of the time at max item discovery.
You can also get humanity if you kill the small skeletons right before nito. But the humanity despawns fast, so you’re going to have to spam A/X a lot.
I missed the solaire summon before the gargoyle boss fight? It doesn't have anything to do with saving solaire right? This is my first playthrough
Correct. There is no need to summon him. But the reward for his questline is that you can summon him for the final boss so make sure you don’t miss his last summon sign if you care about that.
Does chaos servant +3 work?
I dont get solaire moving to lost izalith after talking with him in sun altair cov (and after anor londo event).
Killed the mugs, moved to izalith through the shortcut, map loaded moving back (even reloading) and he doesnt show up (Ive ported to sun altair and he remains there).
-PTDE btw
-killed the firesige demon just in case
-havent killed centipide demon
-havent go that far into izalith (just before farmable titanite demon).
after izolaith where can i found him?
You can do it with poison mist pyromancy as well through the wall
So literally nothing happens after you kill the sunlight maggots?
I'm jealous of people lucky enough to have the Black Knight weapons drop for them earlier in the game, but I have a question: Are they still OP in NG+?
I know I’m late but what armor set is he wearing and where do you find it?
Black leather armor. Behind a door in lower undead burg right before capra demon
The Ghost Initiative appreciate it my g
baby skeletons right outside of Nito is a good spot for farming humanity as well
I didn’t go into lost Izelith, but when I did the short cut Solaire was there corrupted. I am beyond sad
5:23 Story of my life farming rats 🤣
Was also doing this in Elden Ring to farm for rune arcs
I know 4 years later you won’t see this but thank you on my first play through solare stacked me and I had to kill him I cried as a man I’m saying I bawled my eyes out and thank you man thank you
You’re welcome. For future reference, if you accidentally make a friendly NPC hostile, you can run away instead of killing them and go to oswald in the gargoyle tower in undead parish. Talk to him to absolve your sins and it will reset any angry NPCs
I’m near end game in my first playthrough(just beat the bed of chaos) and I failed to save Soilare because I’ve been trying to avoid guides as much as possible. I always enjoyed seeing him along my journey in various places knowing I had a jolly companion throughout the game. The sheer disappointment and sadness I felt when I saw him hollowed when opening the shortcut to L.I was immeasurable. I wish I could’ve saved him 😢
relax, you can start ng+ and save him :)
Do you have to kill the centipede demon and meet Solaire at the bonfire before killing the sunlight maggot
What do I do if I did not talk to solair after killing the Taurus Demon in the beginning and keep on going with the story and Solair is not at the first location anymore?
Hmm, thats tough. Never happened to me before but if I had to guess I’d say he is probably sitting next to the statue by the bonfire under the dragon on the bridge.
I have that problem now too. I forgot to talk to him by the bridge. I checked the alter but he's not there.
Try going to both spots and save/quit the game to reload the area. If not in either of those places then he may have moved onto anor londo. If not there either you may be out of luck in this playthrough.
Luckily you can get to taurus fairly quickly which means it doesn’t take much effort to start the questline next time. But yeah it’s kind of frustrating that he disappears if you miss him in a certain spot.
Doesn't someone sell humanity or is that after Sunbro dies or lives?
I curiously walked up to Lost Izalith after the bonfire slightly past the threshold. I exited the game for the sole reason of looking up this video to check my progress on Solaire's questline. Now I watch the video and find out that I've already doomed him....
i spent 30 humanities and when i unlocked the door he was already insane i think i was late
Do you guys like fromsoftwares approach at "quests", where there is no tracker no guidance?
For me I get FOMO on quests I missed cause I missed a conversation or didn't know to do something
Hey how do I get to the other side of the door without the chaos servant +2
The other side of the tunnel is in front of the bed of chaos fog
Is the black knight halbred still good this late in the game? Curious if i should level mine up but I've heard it doesn't scale well
The scaling is pretty average but it has very high base damage, it remains very strong through all of ng
@@TheGhostInitiative im going to level it up and try it out. This playthrough im on is the first time its dropped for me. Such an awesome weapon. Thanks!
I’ve not been feeling o for he depths yet
Oh dang bro, I killed him by accident at the Bonfire behind that Drake in undead burg 💀💀💀💀
For me saving solaire is main quest line ,after O and S boss fight ,he became my eternal brother 😇
You can also kill the bug without opening the shortcut by using the toxic or poison cloud pyromancy trough the closed shortcut's door.
Does it still work? My poison mist isnt getting to them it seems
@@cooked4048 late reply but it does, just shoot it every where
So... He wont show up somewhere later, even if you save him?
Accidentally hit solaire the first time I saw him. Had to kill him.
Same thing happened with Big hat Logan and Lautrec.
I was careful with onion bro he seemed too cool to kill
nobody cares about Lautrec.

Hello, me again.
I just did this before fighting the cetipete demon. Will this still save him or do i have to kill the maggots again after cetipete?
The maggot that drops the helmet doesn’t respawn so as long as you got that one before entering lost izalith you’re good
@@TheGhostInitiative i have noticed that too. Thanks^^ Though the normal maggots still seem ro try to get on his head. Have to shoo them away every time^^
Hey man I hope you see this, I'm doing my first playthrough of this game and I talked to him in the first spot but I can't find him here in anor londo and I'm at the right bonfire, what should I do?
Maybe you didn’t exhaust his dialogue in undead burg? I would try going back to his first location and see if he’s still there. If he isn’t, save/quit and see if that makes him appear. Saving and quitting in anor londo might also make him show up there.
@The Ghost Initiative hey man thanks heaps I went back to the first spot and he was still there so I'm back on track now, thanks heaps bro 🤙🏻
No problem, glad you got it working
I found mine with vile maggot already 😢 Let him kill me, to get me more time. And than understood that i can only do 1 thing from that point,, and one thing only. So i stopped his suffering. Thanks for the clip tho, will try to save him in the new game +
I got to Lost Izalith and then I looked up a video
A sacrafice worth doing
Yes it is optional but it does apparently give you the chance to summon Solar against Gwen.
"Solar against Gwen"
Is this before or after you get the Lord vessel
After
I know that when I'm looking for"sunlight", the first place I visit is a subterranean lava land. Oh, and the second place I look is in my magical maggot helmet.
I'm looking for the sun... In the depths
What happens to solaire after I save him? Where does he go
