I can not understand this expensive deluxe version still has the thin player boards. That would be the first thing I'd improve at a higher price point.
I've owned it for several years and just getting my wife to play it. Games like Arboretum, Parks and such have been huge in getting her to play games together
It is an amazing special edition, but I'm going to pick up the normal version which still has enough wow factor for my daughter. Daddy would need a second job to buy something like this.

This definitely looks like a case of the price point being just too high. Hadn't seen the review for the original game before, and I'm definitely adding that to my wishlist, but until I go through many more items in my wishlist, dropping that much cash on a single game is irresponsible. Maybe once I've already got all the other games I want (as if I'll ever actually get THERE!)
Money is always a sticky issue. For some people 300 dollars is a lot of cash, for others it is pocket change. At least you know this isn't a waste of money either way, just on the far end of luxury.

I strongly agree. The player boards are very flimsy. Ours are warped and won't sit flat.

Expansion is not in this particular edition, but you can buy the Chibis expansion in the large format. Check out funagain.com.

Same here. It's 260$ on one of the online stores I use, but I'm not spending that much on any game.
