    He’s right. Complain to HR about anything illegal happening to you and more times than not they will retaliate. Just plan for it and understand the game. HR is not your friend!

    If HR says they are here to help you, it's time to be silent.
    They have one job, and that is to protect their master.

    Love your videos their super informative!! I’m in wheelchair and I am in the very beginning of my case and filed the charge with EEOC and awaiting their rebuttal. I was told directly that I was not going to be hired because they had concerns about me being in a wheelchair. Those concerns were not the normal concerns, they said they had concerns over how I would open and close doors, fit at a desk and also how I can use the bathroom ie. Can you stand up can you transfer, do you need someone to help,”How do you use the bathroom??” I have these things in recording and also them telling me about how qualified I am for the position but obviously wasn’t hired. My question is, does having these things on Audio recording really help push it towards my side or is it just so so? Also I have had the hardest time finding an attorney in my area they either want a crazy amount of money up front or tell me they only represent companies. After attorneys hear the evidence and tell me it’s very damning do they then not want the case? I mean obviously you don’t know EXACTLY what their thinking is but I would think it would be a good risk vs reward for them am I wrong completely?

    Sadly true. I knew this, had to live through it, and saw it all play out when I reported sexual harassment.

    Made me whimper out loud to hear this truth put so bluntly. But don't look away from what is. After reporting an incident, HR said they would investigate... Silence. Never heard a word. She was SOOOO nice. She seemed so sincere. After hindsight and considering other HR interactions, I must remind myself AGAIN:
    TRUE THAT....HR IS NOT YOUR FRIEND. They are there to get information out of you BEFORE you get your lawyer.

    I've learned to think the opposite with EVERYTHING in life 😄 Be careful with employers requesting access to your personal laptop for their "IT guy". Be careful with your employer expecting you to download a bunch of apps on your cell phone and personal laptop. Remote workers; be especially careful if your employer has you on camera via Zoom all day #hotmic

    Is it smart to request a reasonable severance that benefits both parties, or does this hurt your case if it goes to trial?

  • @henlohenlo689
    @henlohenlo689 2 місяці тому +1

    it should be view they are both friend and enemy simultaniously. if u forget the friend part, it is overly warping reality.
    its 2 parties working together but also may have conflicting interests. similar is true with customer and business relationships. customers and businesses and competitors all want something different. sometimes competitors collude for more profits this is more likely when less companies dominate market.

      They typically put friendly people in those positions on purpose to appear they are on your side when they inevitably do illegal shit. Their jobs are to protect the companies assets. There is no conflict of interest. Employers will lie, cheat, hide evidence, delay cases to create pretext instead of telling the truth just to save MONEY.

      i can go into alot more fine detail with it if you want. more examples of conflicting interests, yet working together.
      some companies like working maybe at a grocery story. they at any given time period of 100s of applicants lined up waiting to work there like teenagers. so the managers use this leverage by massively underpay whatever workers ARE working there. they don't care if the employees quit. more will replace, they keep doing that until they have a group of people willing to work for the low pay.
      this is when the management has more leverage over the workers. they then become more of enemy of the workers than ally. sometimes employees have some leverage it's mostly in industries that are monopolistic and can artificially fix higher wages. these industries usually lack job creation. also these practices may also harm the customer and price gouge and the customers got nothing they can do about it. another conflicting interests but customers are harmed. sometims someone SO RICH AND POWER deliberately crushes the market and makes it so that his own companies have too much control on the market. sometimes billions interfere with economics.
