I got the 387 on a good sale. I was leaning more toward the xr, but the 387 is truly impressive. I am completely satisfied with the 387 in all aspects!

It's hard to tell with my computer speakers, but I'm guessing the XR brushless 367 is way louder than the brushed 387 version. I have the brushless XR version, and I love it other than it is screaming loud. It's funny, yesterday on the news, they covered a storm in my state that knocked down trees, took out power lines, etc, and during the story while the reporter talked to people from the neighborhood as they cleaned up limbs, etc, and I could hear what sounded exactly like my XR 367 running in the background. As they jumped from shot to shot, I got a glimpse of one guy cutting limbs with you guessed it, a 367, lol.

Thank you, MolecularScientist. We may add Makita and Craftsman for some upcoming reciprocating saw videos. That should be interesting.

Very interesting test. I’m surprised that the 387 even worked on the 2ah battery
If I understand this right. You get the Brushless 367 if you use the tool all day everyday. You get the 387 if you use the tool once in a while

Actually, both can be used on a daily basis. Kinda surprised about the battery life for the 367. Other than than, they are pretty much the same.

@@Itstartedwithsawdust hello thanks for the answer, now I think one says XR what is the difference between the two and in your case which one do you recommend, I would only use it for work at home like cutting tree branches etc. Thank you

@@greart67 I got a video that shows the better run time for the non XR version and lower price (cuz not made in the U.S. of A). The DCS369 can be an option too.

@@greart67 never had the 380. It may work for cutting branches and the price seems to be A-OK.
