- Hello..! Long time no see :D
I'm traveling again (finally!) and I am so happy. I will be traveling for a while now so stay in touch..!
"Oh look a Flower Shop" - The best innocent quote ever on a London Vlog.
🤣🤣🤣
😭😭
Crossing the road it said look left.....OMG ....you looked right..!!!! 😬
Lol that happened as I read your comment
maybe not used to UK driving on the other side of road lol
6:12 You looked the wrong way, my heart was in my mouth :D
noticed that too worst bit is that london paints "
I love that you loved exploring my hometown. Please come back and experience more of London and share it on UA-cam. It's great to see London through the fresh pair of eyes of a newcomer.
Loved your blog, so much more refreshing than the usual London tourist ones, thank you !
Because she's so naive and knowledgeable. Some of it was very cute other times not so cute. In those cases, embarrassing.
There are no jaywalking laws in the UK
What is jaywalking and is it illegal?
@@david31162jaywalking is crossing the road where you please, and not using a designated crossing. It's illegal in many countries but not the UK.
illegal in the so called 'land of the free' USA but not the UK. Which one has the freedom then? @@EddieBeaumontThomas 🤔😂
@@david31162 it's when you don't use the zebra crossing (crosswalk) or you cross the road when the traffic lights haven't stopped the cars. it's not illegal to do this in the UK but in countries like the US or Germany it's illegal
@@JB-ys8ct Thanks, I sort of guessed but didn't know exactly. I also thought I'd seen people accused of this just walking along the side of a road, probably I'm mistaken. Sounds strange only to be able to cross at a designated crossing. Impossible to do without walking miles in much of UK.
Randomly found this video, as someone who grew up in London (now moved out) it was nice to see it through your eyes. A lot has changed since I was last there. Walking around is definitely the best way to immerse yourself.
The modern building opposite the Houses of Parliament is St Thomas's , one of London's most famous hospitals. It originally was located elsewhere in London and has been providing some form of healthcare since before 1215. It is part of the National Health Service (meaning people are treated there for free) and is also an important teaching hpspital.....
I live in South London and have been walking about 15km/day with my camera all over the city for several weeks (I'm off work). It's incredible what you find, especially if you go off the common roads.
One of my favourites is the 'Thames pathway' on the north side of the Thames, going east from the centre, which is absolutely full of old wharfs etc. You can really feel the history, smell the tide etc. For culture, there are also great high streets like the mod/punk vibe of Camden High Street, or the massively arty and diverse Brick Lane in Shoreditch. And following the canals that run east to west north of the Thames is always fun, with a lot of cool things going on and great architecture etc.
Try the Southside. Rotherithe and The Brunel Museam.
Jaywalking doesn’t exist in the U.K., you can walk across the road at anytime except on the major highways.
You can do virtually anything without consequences
same thing@@dogboy5398
well not at ANY time, it's best to wait until vehicles aren't coming
@@Drenwickificationlol
@@Drenwickificationdepends on ur intention
Enjoy London! Remember to look left when crossing and watch out with your phone / camera as there are moped thieves / thieves in general. Try to keep two hands on phone and be careful when having your phone on a table (keep it in pocket ideally rather than on display) as thieves will come in and place a map / newspaper over it or distract you and then take your phone.
But enjoy there's a lot of great things!
You look right, when you start to cross, and left halfway across, and keep looking both ways
I really really enjoyed this video, you share your emotions and experiences so well it helps your a beautiful articulated young lady also.x
Such an underrated channel. Absolutely love the content... deserves hundred's of thousands of more followers for sure. Keep up the awesome work!! X
I'd loved seeing London from your tourist's eye point of view. So many things we take for granted in this great city of ours.
Houses of Parliament recently had a general clean up and Big Ben was serviced. Your lucky it’s so clean!
Hello! They recently refurbished Big Ben (Elizabeth Tower is the official name). That is why it looks so golden! It was a dirty brown colour but they gave it a good scrub and clean lol! Enjoy London - greatest city on earth IMHO :) (from a Londoner).
13:00 what a charming and friendly young person. People like this make me proud to be from London. I hope you return to explore more of our city. I guess you have to see the main tourist sights once, but there are much more interesting and beautiful areas of London than this.
Lived here all my life, knew everywhere you went, but it was so interesting watching it from your perspective, glad you had a good time ☺️
Great to visit all the museums then get out
Perfect vlog. Just your raw reactions. Love this. I hate the vlogs that are just music over video. This is great.
Loved it, absolutely brilliant, thank you x
The houses of Parliament have just had a complete clean and full restoration. It was a lot darker prior to that. Welcome to the UK😂.
It was only the Elizabeth Tower(/Big Ben) that got the work done, the rest of the palace of Westminster is still a crumbly mess
Traf Fal Gar Sq hahaha
I still feel the same thrills as you every time I visit London, even though I have been many times in my life, I never get tired of it!
Great video, not the normal tourist stuff. Got my subscription. Can't believe you've got nobody to travel with and share the experience with, except us! Hope you had a great time in the UK and enjoy the rest of your travelling.
dude @6:00 you cross the road and the floor says
The performer at 8:30 is Andrew Duncan, super talented. Worth buying his CD of his own songs he sells. I always stop and listen when he’s performing 👍🇬🇧
Found Andrew Duncan's account. Hey bud.
Andrew Duncan is the busker, he is amazing, and his cover of coldplays - every tears a waterfall is top notch
Never heard anyone call a Victorian cast iron bridge, Soviet before. 😁 Soviets were more about Concrete and Brutalism.
3:30 Big Ben and the Elizabeth Tower were both recently repainted and restored after a long 10 years, so it looks a lot brighter and cleaner now.
Good to see my home city through your eyes (or lens). I also like to walk around when I visit another city..it’s a much more natural experience than having a set agenda to visit a bunch of sights that everyone else is checking out too..I tend to stay in my own neighbourhood or Borough these days..Thanks for sharing your experiences ..🙏
"Post soviet vibes" made me howl
Big Ben looks different because they just finished a huge renovation on it - you're very lucky
I have literally done that walk from the safe stay and elephant and castle to central London and back my whole life. It’s so interesting watching from your perspective. If you come back, I recommend going the other way towards borough or Waterloo. So many other cool places you missed in this little video.
Worrying moment when at the “Look Left” sign you looked right…
omg I wanna go to this city so bad!!! it looks so pretty
London a dump
@@monkeydust100 Silly hater
@annother3350 not really no ,I'm English and lived in London for years. Its a shithole.
are you Muslim.

You are so funny, glad you liked my city
The modern building opposite side of the river to the houses of Parliament is St Thomas's Hospital one of London 4 oldest Hospitals.
I recall watching Starsky and Hutch in the 70's and they often mentioned "Jay walking", I had no idea what they were talking about!
Your tour rap is relaxed and different from the usual cliche stuff. Enjoyed it.😊
6:13 looking the wrong way on that crossing 🤣 lucky nothing was actually coming
Charming and interesting
"Look Left," and the young lass promptly looks right. `Corker !
Very cute video. I found it really funny when you crossed the street and looked right instead of left
When you looked to the right before crossing the road, my heart skipped! Glad you're enjoying London!!
great video, you deserve a lot more views!
Glad you had a nice time! Always hope people feel welcome in my home city.
The old victorian block with the for sale signs at about 1:07 was my childhood home😍
Afternoon tea is to much food for 1 person. Great vl9g 😊😊😊
Lovely to see someone with fresh eyes and an open mind just going for it. Well done and happy travels.
Wow, what a great vid. You should be proud of yourself doing this all on your own . Glad you enjoyed 🇬🇧 but there is more than just the tourist stuff. But what you did/saw was still nice.
19 quid for a chippy is insane prices. Classic tourist trap. Never fall for it. That whole street with the big boards of prices outside and the workers tempting you in is just tourism central.
Also, you looked the wrong way when crossing the road. Careful.
Loved that end to end. Yeah, walking brings you closer for sure. Enjoyed your Asian eating style - there was rhythm in it somehow and what a cool meeting there. Well, good to finish off with a laugh. Good going. Mark
It's not called "The metro" it's called "The Underground" here..
and those prices for the all you can eat buffets have gone up a lot with time. In 2012-2013 you could get some for £4.99 or £5.99 eat-in
Glad you had fun visiting London. Just so you know Big Ben is the name of the bell. The building is Elizabeth Tower. The Monument to the Women of World War II, is to honour the millions of women that came forward during the war to cover the jobs primarily done by the men away fighting. Not just the women of the UK and the Commonwealth but all Allied countries. The UK flag is called the Union Jack (or Union flag). Please never feel rushed to leave a restaurant. Nobody would have bothered that you were chatting with the other lady, while giving yourself time to make more room for the rest of your food. It was also nice to see that you felt safe travelling the city in the dark. Hopefully next time you have enough time to visit the rest of our wonderful isle. There is so much more to see and experience. Safe and happy travels.
6:00 "Look at these people not waiting"...proceeds to cross when red light is on😂😂😂
The best things about London: old buildings, parks, museums.
This is great, thank you
Oh man when you were at the bagel shop you were 30 meters away from the WON KEI the best Chinese restaurant in London on Wardour Street,
5 Stories high its like abond film set but the food is amazing and reasonably priced
It's never been the same (or as fun) since they started to treat customers like customers!
@gap9992 😂
I think you have to rude, first now to get it started
@@gap9992 Yeah, Wong Kei a year ago, easily recommended, 6 months ago not so much, food is more hit and miss too now.
Welcome to London. You have amazing eyes 👌
Glad you enjoyed. I live in UK. I live near the coast in South East England IMHO. it’s so much better here london is too noisy too unfriendly. 👍
Wait... MR. WU IS STILL THERE!!! I WENT THERE AS A KID!! I was randomly recommended this video, and it is really good! :) But I definitely didn't expect to see that place! XD
How come, UK people don’t have any problems with the wrong side of the road when we go to Europe 🤷♀️. I also never had any jetlag when I flew back from Canada.
Because we don’t make a song and a dance about something being a bit different. Only North Americans seem to make a big deal about it. It’s very common for other Europeans to drive over here and they don’t make a fuss.
@@amyw6808you seem to be making a song and dance about it
Ooo you’re hard
Try steak ale pie. Fish chips. Sticky toffee pudding. Great vlog
I normally hate these type videos but yours was easy to watch and fun to see these places I take for granted via the lens of a stranger
So nice to see you enjoying the differences rather than complaining, you seem like such a beautiful soul! I felt bad for you when they said groups of 2 only, as a solo traveller also, I get that often, or they try searching me near a toilet…
It’s going to be my first time traveling solo to London, how many days do you recommend? I also wanna try and take the train to Amsterdam and Brussels.
Decides to walk without waiting for green man *looks right instead of left* 💀😅
Only crime you commited was walking past the souffle pancake shop without getting one 🤤
This is my area 😮 I would have shown you around if I knew you. There are so many things with in a mile radius to see and do even in the places you wouldn’t expect
"the flower shop!" a place we get drunk lol
I hope you enjoyed your stay. There is so much to see and do in this beautiful city. It truly is a special place. When I am walking around, I always comment on the architecture. It is probably my main rant about how these new buildings do not compliment the inherited tapestry of the past. Instead, they want to look like everywhere else, but in doing so, lose its uniqueness.
You looked the wrong way when crossing. Remember we drive on the left.
You literally walked past and looked at my office on the 2:45 mark! The ugly black office block on the opposite side of the road. Wonder if I was in that day... You're right in that it is a weird mix of urban aesthetics from that vantage. I've often observed that.
A lot of it was bombed hence the post-war buildings and architecture.
Victorian railway bridge gives post soviet vibes 😂
Lucky for you you're in a city that closes everything before midnight
Thanks for visiting our fair city.
Jaywalking is not a law in this country or has ever been.
I enjoyed this … I had to smile when you walked by 10 Downing Street, the Prime Minister’s home, without noticing then to stop in the exact spot King Charles I was executed only to comment on the red buses 😉 I hope you visit us again
I like how it said look left and you looked right instead to see if any car is coming
Omg yooo, is that hostel by Kensington? Recognise the purple bedding lol
Lol the bagel place is one of my lunch spots
On the Menu - you don't have to pick the dishes - you get all of them!
yeah found that quite funny, i wanted to say, you know you can just go in there and order what you want, lol, you dont have to have a set meal
Glad you enjoyed our city
I’m so pleased that we ate noodles together. I enjoyed that. ☺️
6:20 - there is no jay-walking offence in the UK. The crossing controls are advisory - if you want to risk your life by ignoring them, the law is OK with that!
the london classic, started sunny and half way through the video was about to rain
"Look left
I feel that if you go to another country, you should try the local cuisine.
London is alright, but there's much more to the UK.
Nice video, thanks. What's your camera setup, did I hear you say GoPro?
The reason the Elizabeth Tower (which houses Big Ben) looks so golden is that it has just undergone a five-year, £80m ($97m) restoration, which finished last year.
Richmond/Kew gardens is really nice to visit :)
There are no jaywalking laws in the UK, its a bit alien to us to. China Town sadly became a tourist trap a long while ago and with a few notable exceptions I wouldn't eat there due to poor value, poor quality and very often both.
Amazing to see this area from your perspective, I literally walk a similar route to you did for work! Its also proof that some Americans can appreciate different cultures and not sound like a dumb Tourist
Jay walking?? What's that??
American's can't cross the road just anywhere. I fell foul of that over there as I had no idea what it was.
@@Goochen sounds ridiculous
@3:19 Westminster Bridge aka Romanian Pickpocket and 3 Cup Scam Bridge
The houses of Parlament and Big ben were cleaned up a while ago. Before that they were black.
Hope ya had a good time in my city!
Going to England and eating Chinese food! How culturally enriching.
