Thank you so much for this! I'm opening a Chiropractic practice in May focusing on families. I learned so much in the ICPA certification. It's so important that we share what it is that we do!
While studying at my university, I have realized how important it is to incorporate holistic care for my patients. This includes techniques of Western and Eastern practices. My university offers an osteopathic approach which I have enjoyed learning about and have seen many benefits combined with my wife and I desiring children my interest was piqued about the topic of increasing women’s birth experience through osteopathic measures. This comment will argue the importance of incorporating better birth and breastfeeding experiences through osteopathic measures to increase satisfaction among mothers. Firstly, it is important to address that women undergo many bodily changes which can throw the body into many misalignments, especially throughout the journey of birth making it that much more important for doctors to be aware of the effects of this affecting prenatal, birth, and postnatal care. Osteopathic measures when used on pregnant patients can not only improve labor for women but naturally prepare the body for the process of labor. This is a huge benefit because often times artificial inducing of labor can have very negative effects on the mother’s experience and her and her baby’s health. In this video, Abramson-Levine shares the importance of prenatal chiropractic care for mothers as it can reduce the risk of having a cesarean section, vacuum extraction, and or forceps delivery. This is incredible research and should be taken advantage of by every physician for a better quality of care for his/her patient. Another interesting fact pointed out by Abramson-Levine was misalignments in the spine could cause lowered milk production and latching struggles for mothers and infants, therefore it is essential that physicians are aware of these possible correlations and treat them correctly as this has a huge effect on the emotional and physical well being of mother and child. By making such small changes through osteopathic measures, the birthing experience, stress levels, sleep quality, and overall functionality for mother and child can be improved. This should be implemented into all OBGYN and chiropractic practices.

This is an awesome video. I'll use it on my page for others to see.
Thank you! I appreciate your support!
I wish I had known about chiropractic care for pregnancy - my daughter was footling breech 😢
We hear this too often in practice :-/ I tell as many people as I can about the benefits of Chiropractic for mamas and kiddos.
The average woman knows more about epidurals and similac than this 😭
That is a sad truth. I hope that my TEDx talk video will help to change that!
