@ the local tackle shops will recommend certain baits for the area as well. Ocean fishing is fun. You never know what you will catch. Long Beach has tons of areas to fish.
@@jtezzi the bass fishing is good over there? There are not very many good bass fishing lakes, besides golf courses, or residential lakes that are private property. I used to fish a couple of lakes in lake forest that were really plentiful back in the day.
@@beedee8523 I am in a 9.5ft Raptor modular kayak. It is made by reel yaks. Alamitos bay has been good to me. It’s one of my hot spots. I recently purchased a 10.8ft Rapido modular kayak. It is made by reel yaks as well. I will be making another video once I receive the new kayak. Stay tuned 🤙🏼
@@SparkyFishHead nice! I watched your other video where you did a walkthrough of the Raptor, and that Calico took ya into the jetty! That was wild. Once I get my yak maybe we can get a session in? I was also looking at the Radar from Reel Yaks. Either way, I’d be stuffing it in the back of my 4Runner. Are you keeping the Raptor?
@@beedee8523 I am always looking for people to get out on the water with. Is this going to be your first yak? Make sure you read the dimensions. The Raptor is 9.5 feet and it fits in the back seat of my F-150 perfectly. Any bigger and it might not fit in the back seat.
@@SparkyFishHead yeah it would be my first yak. It will fit no problem in my 4R with the seats folded down…just have to remove a car seat. 🙃 I had considered a regular 10’ or 11’ pedal yak but don’t want to haggle loading on the roof of my 4R at 5am. Similar to my float tube, I can load this thing (Raptor) up the night before, park on our garage and be ready to hop in and go in the morning.
@@woodrowilson607 I don’t look at the tide charts, but I know it affects the fishing conditions. I typically try to get on the water at first light. I catch most of my fish around 8-12. The bite slows down once it starts getting hot.
