The tetris plus actually deals more damage in fusion iirc. Then again I suspect damage in general works differently in fusion and that they made a system that handles 5, 6, and more lines cleared at once.
In fusion mode it’s possible to get 8 lines at once with 2 line pieces. If a Tetris piece falls on a puyo it’ll count as dropped and let you start placing the next piece but it will slowly fall through layers of puyo. So with a deep enough well you can put an I piece in there and while it’s falling through puyos you put another I piece on top of it and clear 8 lines

It's a T pentomino. If you design it any other way then it's just not a T anymore. They could have turned the T into an X or a Y, but then T-Spins wouldn't make sense since it's not a T you're dealing with anymore.

Heck, the 3200 *might* increase if you get a BIGGER Tetris Plus, such as in Fusion Mode.

Tetris plus is so satisfying to do, yet you don't get anything beyond a regular Tetris for it.
You get twice the points though, and only points matter in party so I'd say it's still somewhat worth it to hold onto an I if you get thrown pentos.
You should play Tetris PSP/ Tetris Revolution/Tetris Blitz. EA released this for Tetris Plus feature.
