I mean there is some skill needed when using 4-wides. The 4-wide guy repeatedly screwed up his chain a couple times. You need to be able to know where to place things to keep the chain going

1 year later and I still watch this video with my friends. Also it should be "4 wide is better than perfect clear" whenever your opponent wins rather than the default "2 is better than 1"
I can confirm that in the DS title Tetris party, S-spins and Z-spins are far harder, but can be done barely. T-spins triples and doubles are doable and noticed, however. By the end of the match, the tetriminos drop so fast they spawn at where they drop, so misdrops happen a lot. It's about level 15 when it gets that tough.

The Tetris player is at a slight disadvantage.
In normal and low level play puyo is more powerful whilst in high level play Tetris is more powerful.
Using 4-wide is like saying "I do transactions for a million dollar company" while working as a cashier at Wal-Mart.
