i put a traxxas vxl in my enduro and it starts to smell really bad after about 10 minutes of running does that happen to you? and how to fix it.
@iandolmseth I have no experience with that motor from Traxxas. It's hard to tell where your smells are coming from. I suspect it's the motor ESC. A good brushless system is basically the heart of these trucks but also one of the most expensive parts. I've never had just straight burnt up smelling bad parts so I don't know. I have links to both of the brushless systems that I use. What pinion size and KV is the VXL?
@@DoubleClutchProductions 10-Turn, 3500kV. And I think I have the stock 18 or whatever comes in the Enduro. Also I'm running on 3s
@iandolmseth seems OK numbers wise. Just googling that power system I see a few people having similar issues. It's really hard to help more. I know some Slash owners with just a little gearing change mentioning overheating? If it's really hot out and you held er wide open for 10 minutes lol it can be overheating. These are scale trucks and without some gearing changes it can be spinning too fast. Really easy thing to check is with the motor not connected to the transmission the wheels should turn relatively easy with little to no resistance. My Element is on a hobbywing 4000kv SCT combo with a 23 tooth pinion and it's running good still, maybe 20 packs through it. Hope this helps my dude. Hit me up again when you figure more out. You can just smell the motor and esc and tell if it's electronic usually but I suspect it's electronic 👍😎sorry I can't diagnose it better 👍
@DoubleClutchProductions okay sounds good. I'll just have to do more runs on it to see what the problem may be. Do you use the stock transmission?
