@Ace Boogie Right! I honestly prefer to use oats. I hope you’ll enjoy it.
Me too
Banana and plantain as gluten in it so there's no need to add oats cornmeal or flour. Just saying

You’re welcome! Bless up.
Thank you for this recipe, I have made this several times and I like love it, I love that I can make one of my favorite porridge vegan. I sometimes add blended peanuts to the mix for a little protein and I love that you used the oats as a thickener as opposed to flour. I have never thought about doing that before this recipe and the porridge has turned out good every time. Thanks a lot!!
@Stephanie You’re welcome! I’m glad you enjoyed it. Thank you, I honestly prefer to the oats to thickened the porridge. To me it taste better this way than using the flour. This is not just limited to plantain porridge. I use the oats in other porridge recipes where a thickener is necessary.
I've eaten this when I was lil from my dad Caribbean

Where did you get the coconut condensed milk?
I purchased it at my local health food store in south Florida. Depending on where you’re located there a few vegan condensed milk that comes in different brands. So check your local supermarket via Walmart , etc.
Im haitan and i just ate/drank a cup. Lol sometimes i get depressed thinking about the future. What if my wife is white/black american and i cant eat my cultures food lol. I might need to marry me a jamacain women haha. Food is close enough
😀, well I do hope that you find a nice wife who shares the same or similar culture as yourself.
Lmao 😂
You no learn to cook it for yourself? If so you teach your wife if she don’t know☺️
Hello I love this..but where do you get the cinnamon leaves from?
Lovelessamoy Hi! I purchased it at my local supermarket.
Can i have some
Please help me, I can't find the cinnamon leaves anywhere. I've checked one bravo, one presidente and one whole foods. None of them have it. I live in Broward, ft. Lauderdale area. Can you tell me the exact location where you brought it?
@Wanda I had bought mines at presidente (In Miramar) a while back but checked recently and they didn’t have any. I guess they don’t have it all the time. I have yet to see it at the bravo I shopped. You can use the cinnamon sticks in the meantime.
Thanks, what's the difference with making it with the cinnamon leaves versus the cinnamon sticks. I'll try the farmer's market this weekend.
You are the best 😃😃😃😃🔥🔥🔥, you've helped me out with so many great recipes. I look for your recipes all the time. Thank GOD I found you ❤.
@Wanda the cinnamon leaves have a milder floral aroma and the stick have a stronger cinnamon aroma.
Aww thank you! I truly appreciate it and I’m more than happy to help. God bless you.
Does it have to be green plantains?
Yes dare
@@AuthenticPlantbasedEats thank you
No problem
I does use ripe plantains. U can.blend ripe ones to.but dont use the sweet milk.will b to sweet.i use nido powder milk
Green or almost ripe plantain??
Dev Dev Green
With all that oats you need to retitled your video to oatmeal porridge. 🤣
@Tamika Smitt What if I had added a slurry to thicken the porridge should I rename it aswell 😀? Yea looking back I might have gotten away with the oats but it honestly didn’t take away from the plantain porridge. I prefer to use oats as a thickener as suppose to adding cornstarch or flour. God bless you!
