James. Which is more suitable for a learner wanting to play both fingerstyle and medium strumming material please? Academy 12 GC size or GS Mini?
Absolutely no interest in electronics as will never be played plugged in. Only play acoustically.
Which would be the best all rounder of the two please?
    Many thanks

Hi Ian, I'd go for an Academy 12. The Academy series is designed for beginners and will offer you everything you need and more. Hope this helps. James

@@RimmersMusicVideo Hi James. Thanks very much indeed for the reply. Appreciate your help. Does the overall tone and playability of the Academy 12 match that of the GS Mini in your opinion? Or is it just an instrument purely to learn on that I will need to upgrade quite soon? I will only play at home, unplugged, for myself, so I’d rather buy something that will last me a decent amount of time

@@2134yanto Hi Ian, I'd still go for the Academy 12 for your needs. Though the GS Mini guitars have a great tone, with the full size sound hole they really do project and with the different woods it does make them amazing. It's an hard decision because they're both great, for you the Academy 12 would be great. All the best James.

@@RimmersMusicVideo actually James, can I ask you re the nylon version of this model - the Academy 12N, is the action like that of a classical guitar? ie quite high? Or is it more like a steel string of a similar quality? I suppose I’m asking is it like playing a normal decent action steel string guitar that sounds like a classical please? Thanks

Accademy 10e or martin GPC-X2E? i wanna have one cutaway guitar for access to frets but has cut away significant effect on sound?

Hi Aida, thank you for your message. The Martin is a good guitar but I'd sway toward the Taylor Academy 10e. The 10e is a dreadnought body shape the Academy 12 is the smaller concert body shape, similar to the Martin. I hope this helps. Kindest regards, James.
