  • This 3 prong outlet tester is simply plug and play. My upcoming listing had a few different error codes and I thought it would be a good time to show you how to use and interpret one of these outlet testers.
    Materials Used:
    Klein Tools GFCI Outlet Tester: amzn.to/3KjC4V6
    Casio G-Shock: amzn.to/45tL5Ep

    For General Reference
    -Red or black wires = hot, this is where the power is coming in from
    -White = neutral
    -Green or copper = ground
    -"Reversed" - Means the two indicated wires are wired backwards and need to be switched
    -"Open" - Means the indicated wire is not connected

    what if iom trsting my outdoor outlet with this tester and the outlet doesnt have a reset button

      The tester still works for a normal outlet, those are just not a GFCI outlet so it technically wouldn’t be possible to test.. I believe that’s what you’re asking.
