Just finished the Novus stage on Free Trial - nice to see that other Free Trial players also struggle there! (Although I made it a bit easier by sticking "All classes" combat gear on my Botanist and then gathering... a lot of items) Hoping to buy the game on Christmas finally, but hopefully finishing at least the ARR and HW relics.
Hey thank you for the video. I will try to get them all too. About the materia part, you suggested using some low level jobs to spiritbond their gear and getting the lower materia. But what if i dont have any low level jobs? does it work the same way if you equip low level gear on an high level job?
Yes, I'd recommend using accessories at the level you need for the materia, get some spiritbond potions from your GC (or some spiritbond notes from your squadron) and do dungeons within that level (halatali, Qarn, etc.). Duty Support might be faster if the queues are long. Hope that helps!
Glad it was helpful, thanks for watching/ commenting. I believe it was a Uraeus coat and Dodore boots (You'll probably get the materials randomly while doing the books), the mask and gloves are from one of the blue mage outfits from the job quest, I think level 60.
Congrats on such a ridiculous achievement!! I've also been whiling away my time on Free Trial (500hrs now after starting a year ago...), hit level caps on all jobs and now working through my first anima weapon and I was on the cusp of biting the bullet and buying the complete edition until the news about Stormblood being added to the Free Trial hit and so I've been conflicted! I wanted to ask what your thoughts were on when to convert to subscription, since to be truly cost efficient, the play would be to wait till Stormblood hits the Free Trial and then get the most out of that and once the content dries up from that then you could activate the code for Shadowbringers and Endwalker But there's like 100s of hours of extra "end game" content in Stormblood and you could easily get lost trying to do all that there is to offer there too! I just wonder what the right mindset to think about this is, since part of me wants to spend as much time as I can on the Free Trial, but while the monetary cost is zero, the time cost is pretty significant The freedom of being able to play as much as you want on Free Trial is so nice though and part of me doesn't want to let that go by starting to have to pay for a sub, but I know I'm just being a miserly stooge haha
Hi, Thanks for the comment. I'll do a video about some other things to do on free trial soon for people who either wish to wait for Stormblood to be added (roughly in Oct 2023) or for people who just can't afford to sub right now. I do know as of writing this the game is half-off for North America, but whether the purchase makes sense to you or not is a personal decision. My reasons for purchasing the game (albeit while half-off) will probably be more clear in the video, but if you have any further questions I'd be happy to help.

This is crazy cool. Thank you for your advice!

Dark knight !?
@@Barisdagame That’s a Heavensward job, so no ARR weapon. Does appear in the Anima weapon video though.
