Butcher knife Chrome Diopside Pyrope Garnets Black Rock Blue Forest Petrified Wood

We went on a Butcher knife draw trip Friday 3 August, however we did not film it. We were supposed to lead a trip on Saturday but everyone cancelled so my husband and I decided to stop by Blue Forest Petrified Forest to look for some blue forest petrified wood on the way home. We found chrome diopside, pyrope garnets, black rocks (Obsidian, Petrified Algae, Dacite?) along with nice red rocks at Butcher knife Wyoming. We found a few pieces of blue forest petrified wood at Blue Forest. It was very hot and we only had a small shovel and pick so we did not dig down to find big pieces, but we did get a few nice small pieces. Hope to get back to do some real digging in the future. If you don't know what Blue Forest Petrified wood is, do an internet search, it is beautiful coveted wood. Also look at chrome diopside and pyrope garnets after they have been faceted, they are gorgeous! The thumbnail is a piece of Blue Forest Petrified wood I found in a previous visit to the Blue Forest, that has been tumbled.
