That’s hilarious!!! But, it’s his calling in life!!! I love your sharing that beautiful memory!!! Thank you! To be honest, I’m just the same way. I just wish I could get a job in the Crystal Collector’s Company. My dreams would come TRUE!!! Then, I got a rock polishing set for Hanukkah one year and I made lots and lots of gorgeous gems 💎 - I just wanted to make pretty jewelry for my family and friends, well that was nearly 60 years ago and I’m bitten once again upon viewing the Crystal Collectors’ UA-cam videos!!! I live here in AZ but never been to the petrified forest. You just inspired my little boy to get out there, and now we planning a weekend trip to do some diggin’ 👍🏼
To anyone that might wonder, fungus hasn't always been a thing, so way way back then, fallen wood would just lay on the ground and never rot or compose.
@@TheCrystalCollector It's very cool that you answered my question. I appreciate that. I enjoy watching your never ending search for beautiful crystals. It's great when you can turn a hobby that you love... into making a living off it. I hope you have continued success.
My boyfriend and I are 19 and one of the things that brought us to be together two years ago was our mutual obsession with rockhounding. Neither of us had ever actually been on a dedicated digging trip until last year when we drove all night to dig in a couple places in N.C. for my graduation trip! Thanks only to your videos, because we'd never have thought it possible for people like us to do, after all, we aren't geologists haha! Now we are planning our second trip from Colorado to Arkansas that is even more intense than the first, and we are watching these videos together in anticipation :) thank you for doing what you do

I have a few pieces that they let me pick up off the reservation when I visited back in 07! It was EVERYWHERE! You found some prettier pieces though. WHHAAAAAAATT?!!!
I live in Phoenix AZ and do the loop when visitors come. I drive them up to Flagstaff on Day 1 stopping at Montezuma Castle National Monument. Day 2 starts over at Meteor crater and the Petrified Forest National Park ending in Pinetop/Lakeside. Day 3 is the scenic view going back to the valley via the Salt river canyon on hwy 60. That trip never gets old.
Really Beautiful colors, I don't know much about petrified wood and have probably walked over some while looking for Native Artifacts but not like this stuff, I don't think I would have missed something so pretty, I've always had tunnel vision while looking for Native Artifacts and not paying much attention to what else is laying around like petrified wood and fossils and such but I'm on the lookout now, Man it's Amazing to me the huge variety of Beautiful Jewels and Artifacts laying around on this planet we share waiting to be found, it's such a joy to get out and explore and treasure hunt especially with Loved Ones, I Love It.
