This became my grandpa favorite song before his passing. He refused hospice and any help for that matter to prolong his life. He lived a wonderful life and he was ready for his call home to his beautiful Gail!!! He did it his way… This song I’m sure touches us all in different ways but for this reason it means so much to me. It’s my celebration song for my papa George 💪🏾 God Bless
Today is...05/2024.. lm listening to this song..in honor to a great one there will always be. But more than this, because l just lost my father! 😢 and this was his favorite song of all times..💔 My Dad showed me so much about life!..to take care of yourself..being that he was a child himself with no father picture, image or physically in his household. He had to quit school, to learn at a tender age of 12! to survive, a job skill in the streets to earn a living, and help his own mother. Have l been in real difficult times as a single mother myself? Off course, Yes!!!.. it always has been...me, myself, l and my child. However, what am l lamenting so much and sadly is that the burial is tomorrow. 05/24/24! I'm 5hrs drive away to NYC!!!...l don't have $$$ for gas or tolls to drive there? And no one is helping! I've nothing of value to sell or pawn in this state? Its only few stores, here and l heard that cops have been called at times to these stores cause they think, you were trying to pawn or sell something stolen!? Omg... l can't go and say goodbye to my Oldman!!!....its so upsetting! and lm so sad here at my apt...😢 Sorry for Venting!!!? I'm so sorry...thank you.
This will be my funeral song. In my twenties I owned a big jewlery business, then my best friend/partner stole everything. I was homless for a year pumping porta poties living in a shipping container saving up money to start a new busines. Iv'e been douted at every corner by family and friends and always end up proving them wrong. I haven' worked for someone else since I was 17. And to think I did that and may I say not in a shy way, oh no, oh no not me... I did it my way!
Народ России,да какой народ,скопище крепостных рабов,убили Алексея и всем по барабану,но он вошёл в историю России,а россияне не поддержали его,кинули,молчаливое стадо терпеливых скрепцов,после смерти можно из России слепить что угодно,
This song is Frank Sinatra and Frank Sinatra is this song - each lyric and each note is describing Frank's life...he sings it with the passion and emotion as though he is showing us his soul. No one can sing this song like him, he owns this song..he lived this song. This is his legacy. This is his story.
@@gluteck1945Comme d'habitude is a very different song from My way. All they share is a melody. I'm french and I find My Way much more appealing, no one could do it like Frank !
A voice with such beautiful texture, such rich resonance. Definitely head and shoulders the greatest of the crooners and there have been many great ones.
That’s your opinion, and many others share it. But it’s all subjective. I like Frank. But For my money Bobby Darin was the best, and he also was far more versatile than Frank as he recorded albums in just about every musical genre one can name. Also, Bobby was one of the best live entertainers of the 20th century.
Surprised this doesn't have more views. Wonderful performance by Frank at the time the song was released as a single (Paul Anka wrote the lyrics for Frank) and his album had the same name. The orchestra is suberb and he looks great too.

Ol’ Frankie Blue Eyes❣️🥰 love 💕 this song❣️ *For what is a man, what has he got, if not himself, to say the words he truly feels and not the words of one who kneels. Let the record show…. I took them both and did it…. My Way…..* Such a beautifully powerful statement can totally relate. Thanks for sharing 🙂❤️
I know that this is about me, but I enjoy seeing a younger Sinatra singing this song. Back in 1969, He knew that his days were numbered, but he also knew that he was still viable. I've seen videos of him performing after this. I actually saw him in 1989, i took my mom to see him, and it was hard to watch The greatest think about Sinatra - to the end - it that his amazing voice stayed true. But, he was forgetting the lyrics and he lost that cool charisma that was so much a part of his persona. I cried a bit about that. But I also applauded that I got to hear and feel (we were in the front row) the power and pristine quality of his voice. It was still there - in full force - and that was amazing...
Love this song so much. ❤️ The great singer and actor and.. yes, this song always be his signature song whatever he said how he felt about it. Miss you so much Ol' Blue eyes. ❤️💙❤️
My mom and dad have been to your shows and absolutely adored you. Forever classic Frank! When I hear this song, it reminds me of the good old days with family and friends.
I'm definitely "old school", myself, and Frank Sinatra still makes my knees shake and my heart soar ! May not be Frank Zappa but still an original, Sinatra will forever be da man.....😊
This song and that movie the swallowtail butterfly, what a rendition, i have never seen a better rendition like it in my experience of watching captivating movies till now

More than the music, the orchestration, his phrasing, more than all that are the lyrics. Though he may have hated this song--the frequency with which he was asked to sing it to the exclusion of his innumerable hit songs, the lyrics really tell the story of someone who rose each time he was knocked down, someone who chose his own direction rather than what others chose for him. Paul Anka wrote this song for Frank Sinatra and he wrote those words knowing the true nature of the man. This superb rendition certainly helps. Not many singers have achieved so much for so long through so many changes in our history.
As a 15 year old I've been listening to this song since I was 4 and will continue until I am in my grave
You have great taste, kid.😘
10 years ago since the passing of my dad ... played this walking into his funeral..he loved Frank Sinatra 😢 RIP dad x

That's right ✅
He actually later in his life said he didn’t like the song because it was too self-aggrandizing
but this song wasnt from him, the original singer was claude francois, name of song -" comme d habitude"

I saw him and Bob Hope and Grace Kelly, in 1970, at the Royal Festival Hall. London. What a thrill. I get chills thinking about it. The Master!

In 1969 Frank still had it. In 1970, his "My way" was not same as 1969 just a yr later..
