If you persist in your thinking of today, you have no future which is what Frank is singing of. You are the pilot of your life. Please rethink everything each morning and thank God you are still here to experience it. Your future is bright. You haven't even started yet. I hope it's just hormones that are interfering in your life. I'm old and have been through more than you can imagine in my lifetime. "My Way" is a profound reflection on the human journey, particularly the masculine one, which carries a silent and often unspoken hardness. The line "What has he got, if not himself" is not just a celebration of self-reliance but an acceptance of the solitude that often comes with the courage to live on one's own terms. Over time, you realize this song isn’t about glory or perfection-it’s about resilience and authenticity, even in the face of regrets and tough choices. A masterpiece that only deepens with maturity.

My dad passed this morning and with great sadness I listen to Sinatra. If I would have gotten married before you left Dad I Would have dance this song with you. Thank you for your kindness and humbled heart you left me the best of you. It’s your kindness the taught me to always forgive no matter how painful it’s.
Played at my fathers funeral. Means so much to us as a family as I’m sure it does to many. A legend that not many my age (25) will understand. Much respect and love to everyone listening and reading this.

@@FlyingOstridge It’s all subjective, of course. Some say Frank, some say Sam Cook, others say Steve Perry, many say Freddy Mercury, etc. Now for me, it’s a man who sang songs in every genre of music you can possibly name, and had all the talent in the world: The one and only Bobby Darin.
I'm in my 50s and this song has been powerful my entire life . I'm blessed & grateful for all I have. This song makes me feel wonderful. I too did it my way .
Grandfather used to listen to this song months before he passed away, dad showed me this song a few months ago and he's 70. This song for some reason kind of allows me to understand their lives and I plan to show this to my son the day I realize the same thing my father and grandfather have... Rip to a Vietnam War hero and POW hero, my grandfather.
Jesus Christ will come back soon and we don't have much time to turn to Him. He died for all of our sins so that we can be forgiven. All we have to do is accept Him into our lives and trust Him wholeheartedly. Nobody but Jesus can save your soul. This might be your sign so turn to Him today. He loves you😊

Carol, this song will rock forever, because it's not just a song. They are souls and feelings that turn into songs. And souls and feelings are eternal. they pass from soul to soul, from heart to heart. It is what I wish you.
This song will be played at my funeral. I havent done much in my life but my wife and kids will appreciate this. Frank and this song just get me every time😢
Now I’m only 17 but my mother played this over and over along with Alan Jackson underneath my crib when I was a baby. It was the only way I fell asleep. Everytime she would try to leave I would stir and move around. My mother is still alive but my father died a few week before my birth. I live with my mom and my stepdad who I consider my father. I’m gonna go hug my mom now. Thank you for reading my story.
This song seems to describe the lives of many people. Clearly everyone has found something of their own in it. Thanks to Frank for such a beautiful song!
My sister purchased tickets for this show for my beloved Mom and Dad. They took the train from upstate ny to the city. This song had my dad just about bawling. It was near the end of his life, and I still thank my sister Kate today for doing this for my dad. This guy was his absolute favorite.
When he says the line, “I ate it up and spit it out” He sings it with a power coming from experience, and it is completely and utterly authentic One of the greatest musicians of all time
and his singing is not what it once was. but does anyone care about that..? NO. omg - the part he sings ever so softly... you could have heard a pin drop.
My father and I danced to this at my wedding. It was his favorite song. This song described him to a "T", and now the he had passed, I listen to this and think of my daddy, and how he "DID IT HIS WAY".😭👏💙
Thanks man, I actually got out of the whole I only listen to rap and this music has opened me up. And I also love 70s old school rock like Lynyrd Skynyrd
Same, 44 here and still listening to Ol’ Blue Eyes. This song always reminds me of my Da, he’s 71 years young and still bellowing this one out, the one line that always gets me and connects me and the old man is “And to think I did all that, and I may say, not in a shy way”. Love ya Da, we did it our way.
His singing style is so unbelievably fluid. He doesn't even take a deep breath before going for a high note. Don't know how he does it, it's like dueting with yourself. Legend!
@Wayne. Supposedly, Frank Sinatra learned breath control from Tommy Dorsey who would, while playing the trombone, take small breaths at the side of his mouth which made it appear that Dorsey was able to play the trombone without having to take deep breaths.
My father used to sing this song when we played sports & he was about to win. "And now the end is near & you face the final curtain" It made me laugh every single time. Love you Dad & miss you so much. ❤️ The song & performer fit like a glove. Perfection.
I lost my grandfather this morning. He was like a father to me. I love every minute with hime and wished that i could've been with him on his last moments. now listening to his favorite song just breaks me apart. I miss him so much
I’m very sorry for your loss. I hope that you can find comfort in this song as I do. My Aay being your grandfather’s favorite song, tells me he was a great man.
My dad always tells me this was one of my grandpa’s favorite songs, he’d listen and sing along to it, and I often like to think this was his song, he lived, and he did it his way, always brings me to tears. I wish I could’ve known my grandpa better, he passed away when I was so young. But I know I’ll see him again someday.
Navalny era solo una stupida marionetta nelle mani degli USA e della corona inglese … Cosa c’entra l’indimenticabile Frank Sinatra con il nazista Navalny?
My way... помните колонну машин, в ночи пересекающих Обь? Из Харпа в Салехард... Часть пути.. трагическое зрелище ... и одновременно запредельное, потустороннее..
My great grandfather, granddaddy John Seydel, after 101 years is on his deathbed tonight. He’s lived the hell out of each of those years and has been such a role model for all my family members. Tonight we shared this song together, and he looked so peaceful and content in his sleep. This song is so perfect for him, his life, and his legacy. Proud to be his great grandson and carry on his name. Love you forever Grandaddy.
This is one of my favorite songs ever. Just today my dad heard it on tv and he said it was best song ever. He 82 and im not gunna lie he teared up. Probably reminded him of my uncle Dallas. His older brother. Same blue eyes and same vibe.
My dad used to play this masterpiece to me when I was about ten years old....at the time I was to young to understand....my lovely dad died at 60 this track is like a time machine I can see my dad and that feeling is beautiful......I am now 57....love you dad .....siggy xxx
My father's favorite music. He showed me Frank Sinatra and other great musicians... But this one was our favorite, now he is resting in peace 😢 I miss him so much! Thank you dad for everything.
almost 50 years later and audiences on talent shows erupt into screaming and applause as soon as the piano starts playing this song. Like the people dont even need to start singing. Thats how bloody iconic this song is. It really is an anthem. an anthem for people everywhere who succeeded and did it their way.
Sad knowing that a majority of the people you see in this clip are probably no longer with us. They were very fortunate to have experienced such an amazing entertainer!
Uh what? It's 1974, anybody thirty years old there is now 76. You acting like everybody there dead when most people live to almost 90. I'd say a good majority of the younger audience there is perfectly fine.
Xander White I can’t remember that well as it was such a long time ago. The first word that jumped into my head was - slightly disappointing. But in saying that it was Frank on stage, I probably built the moment up too much. How could he ever be disappointing
I saw Frank at the Albert Hall in London in the 80s. I was not a fan but as I had to to chauffeur my mum and wife I decided to go too. It was the greatest performance I've seen. He could have walked on to the stage, said I don't fancy this I'm going home and it would still have brought the house down. I've seen the Beatles, Stones, Springsteen all brilliant but not in the same universe.
I'm 19 years old, and I still like really love old-school songs like this. Some of my friends say my music taste is too old, but I can't deny that old-school songs just have this timeless vibe, They're like unforgettable i think
Yeah, like, I, like, understand you, like, you know? Jokes aside, good music can come from any place, and any time period. I have listened to songs 3, 30 and 300 years old, from all over the world. From indie artists, big bands, and movie composers, the only thing that matters is if you enjoy it or not!
My uncle Michael died a few weeks ago. He had this as the exit song for his funeral. I carried him on my shoulder to this song. One of my favorite people. I suspect it will hurt forever, but it's a beautiful song and was perfect for him. RIP Mick. I'll see you again someday.
This never fails to bring tears to my eyes, such a powerful and moving song. It reminds me of those special family members we lost, the paths we’ve all taken and the things we’ve all done, and it’s so apt. Thank you, Frank.
Legendary. This weekend marks 3 years since my grandfather passed away. He was a big Frank fan. I grew up listening to songs like this in the car as often as I did my mom and dad's favorite songs. So, I shout this one out to William E. Gibson 1939-2019. I miss ya old man, you certainly lived a life that was full and did it your way...Love you pop-pop!
I was, but I was only 14 years of age and I used to listen to all this music on my dad's record player, I still love so many of those 50's and 60's songs and I still have them all on CD. I still play them at 62 years of age,
First of all, between him and Elvis, two of my all time favorite singers. I love a lot of music, but when those two start to sing any song, I recognize the voices and know it is timeless classics. Second part, I used to DJ in my twenties and during any event, this was the most highly requested song. Whether it was during cocktail hour or during dancing, but in one event, the guy who's birthday it was asked for it 7 times, I kid you not and he said that it described his life perfectly. Amazing and classic sound never fades away. Love it now and always have.
In my father’s will he wanted this song to play at the end of his funeral, it was my father’s favourite song. So we played it and not a dry eye. Hope you are still doing it your way up there! Miss you Dad.x RIP

God Bless Them both and You. I have lost my brother , and all my Parent's. My Mom, StepDad, and Real Dad. but my Stepdad was my real Dad. he was the one there everyday, who Loved us and fed us and took care of us.
This is a song that will never get old and holds a different meaning for everyone...I used to love this song as a pick me up, now it serves as a reminder for my Papa as this is the song we played for him as he was getting cremated...the soul is gone, but NEVER forgotten

It’s all subjective, of course. Some say Frank, some say Sam Cook, others say Steve Perry, many say Freddy Mercury, etc. Now for me, it’s a man who sang songs in every genre of music you can possibly name, and had all the talent in the world: The one and only Bobby Darin.

In his younger days (say during the 1950's and 60's) his phrasing was without compare. The man could sing,.

So we played it and not a dry eye. Hope you are still doing it your way up there! Miss you Dad.x RIP
Sorry for your loss but this is the best song . I miss my dad so much too.
For my Dad too. RIP age 84 11 November 2012. His most favorite song. He too did it his way.,. From the Philippines bravo Sinatra🤗🤗🤗😍😍😍

Sinatra's version of "My Way" is definitely the best. Difference from others'? His song moves me to tears but not others'. I miss you, Frank.

Pure excellence as a performer. It just doesn't get any better than this.
До чего можно довести людей, страну, что люди так скорбят
Grew up listening to Frank Sinatra. My father was an older gentleman so I was immersed into this element of brilliance at a young age. I lost my father and brother a few years back. This song saved my life.
This song has made my perspective on life different it also saved my life
Θα σου πει
God Bless Them both and You. I have lost my brother , and all my Parent's. My Mom, StepDad, and Real Dad. but my Stepdad was my real Dad. he was the one there everyday, who Loved us and fed us and took care of us.
This is a song that will never get old and holds a different meaning for everyone...I used to love this song as a pick me up, now it serves as a reminder for my Papa as this is the song we played for him as he was getting cremated...the soul is gone, but NEVER forgotten
Before my Dad died, we sang this together. Tears, sad and happy, in our eyes. Our theme song as we grew older. He was 94 years young and I was 64. I also played "Fantasy" by Earth, Wind and Fire for him. The music lives, as he lives in my heart.

Real classic
The soul lives in another world only body finished
Nov 24, i am 71 from India , it's back to the 70's , when we grew up on such amazing music.❤
Покойся с миром Алексей. Память о тебе навсегда останется с нами.

I remember when I was 8 years old my grandfather sang this in a bar on his and my grandmothers wedding anniversary… it stuck with me and then the last time I heard this song was at his funeral about ten years later. Thinking of you grandpa 🙏🏼❤️
Simple music can make you sing simple hug can make you feel better simple things can make you happy, i hope my simple Hello brings smile to your face
In my opinion its the most beautiful song ever made by the greatest singer of all time, Frank Sinatra.
Jacques Revaux wrote that song in 1967 for Claude François. Frank popularized the song in the United State in 1969. The english lyrics were written by Paul Anka.
@@sportsretrospective6759 Thank you for your comment, yes I know about what you said, but we cant disagree that Frank made this song much more popular and beautiful.
@@vitocorleone6056 Everything is relative. If you live in the US, your right. Frank's version is the most popular. But I've friends living in Canada, and in Europe and the french version still is #1 for them. The lyrics are fantastics in BOTH languages. Personally, even though I'm a french-canadien, I love Frank's version. One of the great entertainers of the 20th Century.
@@sportsretrospective6759 I completely agree with you pal, even though im not American, im Greek and I still love this version and his whole music that he produced in the passage of the years. ''My way'' though remains my favourite song of all time. Nothing compares to it.
@@vitocorleone6056 I've got some friends who saw Frank in concert a few times. Like Presley, Sinatra was incredible with the crowd. Talking with people during shows!
65. Grow up with him with my family I listen to him all the time brings me back to good times.❤
My father's friend sang my way as i said goodbye to my father on his favorite song in march. He was a free spirit, believing in love and fun. I miss you Papino so much.. i truly hope that you are proud of us where you are, we love you from the bottom of our hearts.
Be kinds to others and tell them how much you love them. Peace
May he Rest In Peace
Well said!
