The biggest thing is when I get paid, I have an auto transfer to two savings accounts. With what’s left, I’ll subtract the amount I need for the next two weeks (based off my budget) and I’ll transfer a majority of the remaining to the savings.
Tracking my spending, the going to zero rule, sticking to a shopping list (my grocery bill has seriously dropped), buying store brand, paying bills in full when possible, paying myself first, eating at home lol, not driving everywhere for no reason (gas prices these days ugh)

After a horribly high gas bill last month, we are trying to keep the house 2° cooler. Hoping we can save money this month with being more mindful of that!

Our top money savings come from thrifting clothing, using Aldi for groceries, and doing home projects whenever possible.
We also rent books and movies from the library. Im a simple girl, so pass on the coffeeshops and manicures. Growing a garden and making homemade staples like granola, sauces, and almond milk are essy and fun, too!
PS: Noosa yogurt and premium cat food without fillers are my non-negotiables

Also remember that though it is a good start your savings would never be enough. The economy is designed that way. Invest your spare cash in profitable things. increase your sources of income.

I've been in your shoes and I'll tell you for sure that it's because you rushed into it. You must either understand the market or get the services of a fin. adviser for your "investment" to count as one. I made close to a hundred grand late last year only after some months of throwing my money in the wind. You should try again, good thing is you now know better. Goodluck!

You should start by looking out for those from known firms and good track records. You should also make sure the person is licensed. Personally, I use Kelly Matwick. She's good and you could also look her up.

Love these! For me, before I buy ANYTHING I post in my local Facebook no buy group to ask if anyone has it. I’ve gotten a free good quality: blender, toaster, tv stand, tv sound bar, lots of artwork, book shelves, other random decor, my Christmas tree, and half of the toys I use in my speech therapy sessions as a speech therapist 😂.

Great video Ashlynn! Yes...everything is going up in price. Ugh. My husband and I are about 10 years from retirement and building our dream home. It is practicing good financial habits for many years that has enabled us to do this. I switched to a "disposable free" household. With the exception of toilet paper...I do have limits. 😳 Cleaning rags, dish towels, cloth napkins, etc. I always try to find reusable solutions. Save money and waste.

I think the easiest way to save money is to drink only tap water and milk, no other drinks unless a rare occasion, or if you drink coffee, go with a cheap one and make it at home. I am surprised with how much money people waste on other drinks. Another way to save money is to have free TV channels or allow yourself 1 streaming instead of multiples. I grew up frugal and at times didn't have a lot of money. Buy things on sale and in season. Shop clearance for things you need. Don't go out to eat or limit yourself to a special occasion or once a month. There's lots of ways to save money but sadly most people don't really want to. Thanks for your videos as always.

If you need new clothing items try thrifting first. Also make meals and snacks from home to bring to work. Making enough for 3-4 dinners at a time has been a game changer for me and also frees up my time. And lastly batch run errands to save on gas and time. ☺️

I changed the time of day I go food shopping. My prefered store have shelves with items about to go bad (most of the time they just look a little sad) at discounted prices. The restock them every morning so the one day when I start working a little later I go there when they open so I can get fruit and vegetables for a fraction of their normal price, while getting all of my other groceries too and maintaining my morning routine of getting up & going to bed at the same time 😊

Today I went to the citycenter to shop and I made sure I had cash with me to pay for everything to make sure that I would not overspend. Okay I also had my debitcard with me just in case but I did not use it. I did all the things you just mentioned. I had a list with everything written on, visited the market, did my groceries on homebrands and said no to myself concerning candles, books (except 1 that was only €5 now) and took something else of my list that I didn’t need straight away. It is very hard to get by in the Netherlands as well. Our prices went up at least 14% up to 50% extra. I live on a disability income, so it is hard to get by, but I still manage to do it 😅

Some of my favorite ones are using root touch up instead of going to salon, getting online pickup for stores where I may overspend, have a few frozen dinners for lazy days when I don’t want to cook. Also automate savings-try to challenge myself to transfer any money leftover before my next payday.

These were helpful, thank you! I stopped purchasing paper towels years ago and switched to Marley's Monsters unpaper towels and just turned old shirts into rags for messier clean-ups. For pet accidents (a hairball situation, for example) I use toilet paper or the extra napkins given to me from cafes or restraunts. I also stopped buying new electronics. Many credible stores sell refurbished laptops, TVs, and cellphones. Trademore is great for secondhand smart phones and accessories. :)

Is Lidl like Aldi for groceries? We shop at Aldi and it's so good! Prices can't be beat.
The one thing we changed last November was my husband trading in his truck for something more fuel efficient. He has an hour commute to work everyday so gas was our only huge expense. He bought a Honda Insight and we love it! Went from gas being 105 every 5 days to 28 bucks every 10 days or so lol.😎 I have a truck but I am at home so I don't go through gas quickly.
We are saving a ton of money with this switch.

I LOVE these! They’re so simple & true. The biggest step to making AND saving more money, is to genuinely focus on your MINDSET, if you can change & tweak your habits, your WHOLE lifestyle follows suit. It’s that weird law of attraction thing, where positivity pulls in more goodness & positivity! I am with every one of these tips! I do need to delete a few apps haha, I have much more confidence going on my OWN big shopping trips & getting quality goods & getting exactly what I wanted & ALSO NOT getting any cracked eggs🤣 like idk who’s mom couldn’t teach their kids how to check eggs, & I’ve done food delivery myself, but people really just shouldn’t be shopping for OTHER peep’s groceries when they THEMSELVES can’t do it right🤣😭 & it’s cheaper in fuel to get it myself than pay for delivery AND a tip for(not getting exactly what you wanted🤣). Ha but anyways, GET RID OF THE USELESS APPS! & cancel subscriptions! The minimalistic mindset I’ve adapted has started to change my life for the better & I love it so much!
