There are a couple of roads that branch off. Make SURE you know where you are going. You could end up in a tricky situation. I have camped and rode dirtbikes up there alot. Lived in Georgetown and know that area. Be safe and know the route.

We tried that road last fall and got stuck on the first obstacle on 31" tires with no lift. Now I have 33" KO2s and a lift so someday may have to try it again. Correcting what you said- this may be the highest pass. There are numerous roads that are higher up and back such as Mt. Antero, Mt. Bross, and paved roads to Pikes Peak and Mt. Evans.

Pikes Peak had the distinction of being the highest unpaved road in the lower 48, then they paved it and now its no fun.

Mt. Antero is 13,850 feet at top where you park. There is 1 higher in colorado but it's a secret.

@@jdreaper2176 correct you do hand to hike the last 3/400ft! And any “secret“ 14ers I’d be aware of out here is the ones that don’t classify because of the trail heads starting elevation… but I will never know everything

I have 9 inches of clearance on my expedition and 32 Inch ridge grapplers. You think I'll be good to conquer it this summer?
