      Of only it was that easy . check consumer reports on these pos. They recalled recall. No dealer will touch if your not on warranty and original owner. Talk with corporate kia has lifetime warranty as long as your original owner. If not they dont care about you.

    I have a 2019 Kia Optima (bought it NEW).
    I just started having engine problems this past summer with the oil burning fast. The dealership did engine testing & engine cleaning.
    They contact KIA directly about the problem, & KIA told the dealership that they can’t replace my engine.
    & my engine still under 100k miles warranty.

    • @miajuggler12
      @miajuggler12 Рік тому

      Same! I started having the same problem this time last year, but my dealer's service center wasn't nice and didn't keep up with my records so I started going to a local shop and had to go every 1k miles to get an oil change. I had to go back to me dealer to see if my warranty would cover it but since I didn't do regular maintenance with them since covid I didn't have receipts of the oil changes I got else where when the light would come on. So now they say an engine replacement is needed, but won't be covered😡

    • @DonDon-nb8ho
      @DonDon-nb8ho Рік тому

      @Maria Cusick you can't get the record of your oil change where you got it from and take it to them

    • @miajuggler12
      @miajuggler12 Рік тому

      @DonDon 360 no, because the local place I've been going to since last year isn't enough. They want the receipts from when I didn't go to the dealer's service center before last year during 2020 and 2021 and I don't have those because I only got an oil change when the light came on.

    I'm sick and tired of changing full synthetic oil in my 2016 Kia Optima for every 1000 kms! Dealership is like there's nothing they can do except buying a new engine! How in hell can I change an engine on only 149000 kms? This is my last time to buy a Korean car! I had the same issue with my 2015 Hyundai Sonata!

      I'm having the same problem I don't understand what it is about Kia my parents are having that problem too we've only had it a year and a 1/2 and and it probably uses a quart of oil every week that's after I put treatment in it that's supposed to stop or slow oil usage down now it's starting to skip a little bit they told me I need a valve cover gasket but I've never seen a drop of oil on the ground underneath it as much oil as it uses and I've never seen a drop on the ground I've never seen anything like that. Normally a vehicle goes through that much oil your whole driveway would be black

    Hello World Mechanic !! / Thanks for ....Kia/Hyundai work with the " Oil consumption " issue. I see in the video...RED dipstick !
    There is also some issue with the PVC as you are working with; plus some problems with bad rings....and burning lots of oil. Note: Here's a review of the Kia/Hyundai..." Dipsticks "; Original is: YELLOW.....Regular OIL volume, as in the
    Owner's Manuals; If the car has been thru their " Oil-consumption-tests "....Then it's changed to ORANGE & that has
    different ( more-engine-oil ) level added to the engine ( this supposedly helps to have more oil inside the engine, as the
    engine is burning-more oil ); Then.....RED dipstick ( The Engine has been....REPLACED ). Note: We have 2016 Kia Soul with the 2.0 engine; started using more of the 5w-20 oil at about 30k....until it was using like....1 quart per 1,500 miles. Then....changed
    up to 5w.30 ( Ok per the Owner's manual ) at about 85k / NOW........Only using about 1/2 quart every 2,000 miles. We now have about 105k on the Soul & I monitor the oil every week ( just to be safe ); We also got the KSDS Mod from the dealer and we now supposedly have....15 year or 150,000 mile warranty. We will see what happens, but it kinda looks like EVERY ONE of their engines that fails & blows-up.......has done so, due to long-time running with very low oil !! Good luck, jeffrie / Camas, WA
