It really is to do with the fear..lose the fear and your subconscious will demote the sound as not being important. Our brains are incredibly intelligent like this. Xx

@sleepy rivers I understand this, completely and I certainly wouldn't look down on anyone, unless they were bad and did bad things. I like to think I understand things from all sides. Xx

Hayley Stephens I don’t need better. I need stillness!!! Fuck*ng stillness! Better is nothing for me. Fear isn’t a reason! If you have fear you go into panic. People have panic disorder and not a fuck*ng Tinnitus

This story chimes with my experience. You do get better and you do get used to it.

sleepy rivers I don’t think my tinnitus has gotten better so much as my attitude towards it. You have to accept it, and you will “normalise” it. It becomes part of the silence.
Try not to let it destroy your life. A cure will arrive one day.

I wish this had subtitles. It’s kind of hard to understand him. And I really wish I could hear the part about why his tinnitus no longer affects him when he’s stressed. That is so important to me. Because I feel like I can’t get stressed at all otherwise mine comes back loud and clear.

Thank you, Orlando! But I have a few questions... You don't include a timeline. How long from when you found Julian to when the volume started to meaningfully decrease? Do you attribute it to yoga? Did you do craniosacral therapy with Julian? Sounds like you did. How many visits? Did your change your diet at all? Less sugar and salt? No sugar and salt? What tricks did you use to calm down spikes? Did you use white noise for sleep and during the day?
I like your clip the best of the ones on Quieten. I don't really want to do yoga and all that or change my diet or fast. I think the bottom line really is understanding that "The only thing we have to fear, is fear itself", as FDR famously said during WWII. But easier said than done when your head is raging 24x7 nonstop for months or years. It's been 6 1/2 months for me. I'm hoping I can lick this in another 6 months, tops. But it seems like these other guys took almost two years. Hoping that's not the case in your case... But I'd like to know the reality.
    Thanks again!!!

5.1 surround sound tinnitus is the worse. Sometimes I can hear other people's tinnitus. I've been taking cbd oil capsules and the intensity of my tinnitus has diminished, but flares up every now and then. 4:1 cannabis tinctures directly in the ear also helps.

The same story about the drummer put the fear in me! I’ve had it for 10+ years now, but been very high last few months. Working really hard to reduce it. Cranio therapy helping a lot.
I’ve recently realised it’s very much fear based too. I’m no longer scared and it’s settling down. Thanks Julian!

My feedback would be that people suffering from tinnitus don't want to hear about other people's bad experiences, we know what that's like. We want to know about the positives, that's helpful...
