The maverick has been a pretty reliable model since its introduction. Not much can be improved on it.

the whole point of the maverick is that it's a affordable and very practical compact truck... now we're just getting farther and farther away from AFFORDABLE when people keep whining about not having performance options and luxuries...

None of the pictures are of the 25 model

People are missing it. It’s cheap. It’s a truck. And it’s front wheel drive. This last one means that it can run in snow and winter conditions without 4 wheel drive. Adding configurations and making it more expensive is just gonna slow down sales.
Sad how often people miss the point. Manufacturing has fleeced America for all it can. Their only choice is to dump expensive models and make stuff like this to keep consumers at the table.

The body type configurations are necessary imo. City contractors, like myself, are going to love a small but capable truck with good gas mileage.

The biggest con for me is not being available in a 2 door/long bed option. Some of us don't need the 4 doors, but do need the longer bed. Even a cab and a half (super cab) with a medium length box would be an improvement.

I’m with you on this. I don’t need a 4door with a 5 foot bed. That’s why I’m keeping my old 2000 Ford Ranger extended cab with a six foot bed.

@@garytorresani8846that’s exactly what I had, until I totalled it 😭.
I want that with decent gas mileage. Realistically getting 15mpg in the city is rough. That’s why I’m interested in mav 2025

Since it’s a unibody pickup. That change would be a major design issue. Since they have had trouble keeping up to demands with the current configuration changing it for a comparatively small number of sales doesn’t make sense. I have a 23 lariat 2.0 I live in a city and have had it for over a year. Haven’t had anything I have needed a longer box for as I am sure is the case for most Maverick owners

Hearing all the changes, I’m happy I got my 2024 model. 2.0 turbo AWD with 4k tow and 28 mpg avg that I’m getting is perfect. Physical buttons and no hightech fluff is why i love it. Big touch screen will be a downgrade. Plug in hybrid will be a downgrade on cost for those looking to use as a daily. Maverick is wanted because its simple. Just keep it that way. Thats all we want.

Man this could mean the XL model might start at 30k now... Lariat 40k? I just need a beater truck thats comfy and gets 30mpg. The Toyota Stout might swoop in for a big share of the compact market

All I care about is a nicer steering wheel and a nicer screen. That's it. Keep it cheap
