Thanks for the great collab. I think it’s a great watch for the money. Is the IX&DAO three times the watch the Tandorio is? Of course not. Just like a Tudor isn’t 15 times better than a $250 San Martin. And we all know for $250, San Martin puts out some insane watches. I’m just glad there are options. The more options, the better it is for the consumers.
I’ve got this watch and I upgraded to the PT5000 and has people comment on the smooth sweep, it’s performing great. Ive actually now ordered the same watch with the California dial in a bracelet for the not much more money, absolutely love it

I'm 100% with Eric on the lume, that's exactly how I rate my watches. Middle of the night performance is more important than the whole "dive watch" litmus test. Even my $40 Timex's have enough lume to last through the night, and trust me you don't want to hit the IndigIo button with night time eyes...unless you're into flashbangs.
I bought the Ix dao in white, absolutely no complaints at all. I bought the Tandoorio in red off eBay. The price is very good. The thing is, once you have paid for it you stop looking at the price but rather you concentrate on the watch. I have to say I dislike the crystal. It soils it for me. The double dome seems too thick and it’s terribly reflective. I will keep it because I don’t have any other red dial watches. The lesson learned is, price point is only important the day you buy it. After that the compromise isn’t worth it.
I have bought a Tandorio this year, on the outside it looks nice, it has an nh35 movement which is a complete rubbish loses 5-10 minutes under an hour it stops time to time😢
That’s way out of Seiko’s accuracy range for that movement. It could be magnetized, did you try demagnetizing it? If that doesn’t work, sadly you probably received a lemon.
@@WristWatching I dont know if it's magnetized, I got my money back so i'm takeing it to my watchmaker together with other older watches which ones need a bit more care over time and he might able to tell me if it's magnetized or simply just a lemon 😔 I hope it can be serviced because it's a fine watch for the would be the perfect beater to my job 🤔
Funny, out of over 60 some watches with an nh35, or Miyota 8215 movement that I have purchased, I have never, ever had such issue, or any issue at all. The only issue I have ever had, was on that piece of crap Pagani ice blue 36mm Presedential with that DG movement, on which it kept stopping after several hours… not to mention the sharp as hell bracelet and end links.
Tandorio is great value as the watches are often half (or less) the price of the reference style. That said, they're pretty mediocre overall, which is fine for simple style watches at the price they're asking. The cost goes up exponentially as you start getting the details right. I still like Tandorio for mods as they are often priced less than the sum of their parts. I generally recommend staying away from any of their cases with domed sapphire as they have little (if any) AR coating.
I have no idea how they can sell these things so cheap, the movement alone is half that price if you buy it separately! I can definitely see the value in getting these watches for mod parts. Now I know why they're so popular in the modding community.
That's true, but it looks surprisingly good in the flesh. You'll only notice the less crisp finish under macro, or if you have the IX&DAO beside it to compare. I hope they improve the crystal in a v2 version though, that's sorely needed.

I think Eric's lume test is as useless as the extra holes in the buckle side of the strap he's complaining about. Checking the lume at 4am ... REALLY! It's a Dive watch! Not a lume shine through the night, time to wake up and pee watch! Lume just needs to last the duration of a typical dive. Aprox. 20min < or >
I just received one of these watches and i must say that i am underwhelmed with it. I bought the black version. With the tiny black hands on the black dial it is almost unreadable. Combine that with the lack of AR and i cant read it at all in most conditions so it is of no use to me. I am considering my options to try to salvage something from this watch. I could try just changing the hands to something bigger and brighter or i am considering changing the dial and hands to try to get soe legibility. Tandorio do sell the white dials seperately fairly cheaply so new dial and different hands might be an option. This still doesnt address the issue of no AR but it might be nullified a bit with the white dial. The reflection on the black dial is really bad. The lume on the hands is not visible at all. So overall i am not happy with this watch at all. Now i have to decide how much money i am going to put into it to get it up to par so the low price that i paid is about to go up.
The black dial is a definite no-go. The lack of AR on this white dial is annoying, but you can still read the time. The reflections look much worse on the black dial, and those black hands just make it worse. You could get white Seiko Monster hands, but as you said, that won't help much as you'd still get reflections from the black dial. Swapping out the dial to the white version might be the best (and cheapest) fix for you. Good luck if you do decide to mod this!

These reviews are still stuck on $500 Seiko under featured watches. The very fact that you are getting an nh35, sapphire crystal, and machinery if the case and dial, it’s really a no brainer.
It’s a good watch for the price, but I wouldn’t call it outstanding. It’s not just about specs but the overall execution. I’d choose a $70 Steeldive SD1960 over this any day. They’re fairly similar specs-wise, but the Steeldive has better lume, hands, bracelet, crystal, and bezel action.

Mi dispiace per il lume scadente ma, lo vedo più come fashion Watch che diver. Ho altri orologi Tandorio e con nessuno ho problemi di impermeabilità. Spesso le brutte notizie viaggiano troppo veloci rispetto a quelle buone che sono la maggioranza
You're completely right! Bad news does travel faster than good news. This is a great watch if you approach it as a fashion watch instead of an actual diver. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
I assume the answer to your question is it’s cheap for a reason you can’t rely on it being waterproof not in the pool or anywhere so ok if you work indoors I’ve got one Tandorio won’t buy another just for that reason
Did water leak into yours? As I mentioned in my video, I showered and washed dishes with mine and it's passed with flying colours. I checked the gaskets before that and everything looked good to me. Can't say if they've improved their water resistance across the board, but they've definitely improved it on this model.

My only complaint is that the chamfer is kinda dull compared to the IX&DAO. Waiting for a v2 or sth.
