Beingwarm by the fire in a tent is brilliant, but the gear can be heavy, or is it?
Nortent kindly sent me this for review, but leave me to express my own opinions.
The Nortent Bivuakk Extreme is a 3 in 1 solution. A lightweight triple siliconised tarp that can be used in various configurations. As a tarp, shelter or a tent, weighing 1 kilo for the outer without pegs and taking up minimal space in the backpack. The fabric is also equipped with a stove-jack that can be used in all configurations. There is also the option of an inner tent.
Bivuakk is a Norwegian word that originally comes from military units to describe a simple, temporary camp outdoors where it will provide shelter from the elements. A bivuakk is basically meant to provide shelter and protection for one soldier or a small group of soldiers who are left alone out in the woods or mountains. This is also our inspiration for this lightweight, simple and versatile design that will provide shelter and protection against the elements.

Looks good out in the wild! With the inner being almost another kilo would you ever consider a bivvy bag and pitching it a bit lower?
Hi Nick, yes definitely. I did that in the garden sleep over. I just wanted to try the inner out, plus with the mesh being quite high density and tough, it keeps light drafts out. A ground sheet and a bivy bag could also easily hit a kilo though eh? Thanks for commenting.
