Highly recommend going with the 205/55/16 winter tires if you do! Bit of extra height and I didn't experience any rubbing all winter. It's obviously no SUV, but with winter tires and as long as it's not storm/blizzard conditions, it's doable just like any other car.
Best looking miata after the original. Looks pretty sleek at the right angles and I think the car will age well in the future. But I might be bias since I have that gen also lol.
@@treeskier802 yes the car had a set of lightly used Goodyear Winter command Ultras (an upper-mid range winter tire as far as the winter tire market goes) and it still does pretty well to this day, even in the deeper stuff.
At times, but overall not really. If you care about racing people then I can see it being disappointing, but imo it has enough power to get out of it's own way, and the lightweight playfulness makes up for it. I had a Golf R before this (not the fastest car, but far more hp/tq than Miata), and I have no desire to go back.
Thank you for making this, i really needed this information.
Because I'm thinking of getting a NC MX-5 but i kinda need to drive it in the winter 😅

Nice review I am looking at a GT model of the same year right now
Were you driving with snow tires? Looks like you had no problem.

Does the power leave u wanting more? That's my main concern with a mx5.
