They offer "free" replacement parts through the company you bought it through for $30 in shipping for up to one year after purchase. If you don't qualify, the replacement parts are not available anywhere otherwise. This is a company that lures you in with great features, but makes their products as cheap as possible, even in subsequent batches! Even if the version they send to youtubers is great, I promise you the production models will use cheaper parts!
I found the video useful, but the functionality that most interests me is motorized pan and tilt. You mentioned nothing about the supplemental pan / tilt modules, and that would have been a nice addition.
I’m trying to figure out what your application would be. Through the app you might be able to make very incremental movements, but I wouldn’t buy it specifically for this purpose. Something like traditional macro rails would probably be more cost effective.
