TIPS FOR A LONG HEIGHT FLIGHT
Fly on a clear day, sunny, without clouds, without or with little wind.
Charge the batteries well (control and drone).
Fly in places with NO AIR TRAFFIC , if you are flying in
local with some traffic make request according to local laws.
ABOUT MODIFICATIONS
Height limitation of 500m: removed
Control passed to FCC mode
Increases the control power from 0.5 to 1.5 watts
Automatic return to Home Point when alerting
low battery: removed
Be aware that the drone will not automatically return
for you when detect low battery you will have to do this manually or trigger the RTH.
Modified in DJ Assistant 2 (old version):
(1 meter = 3,28 feet)
Ascension speed, in Sport mode: changed from 3 to 7m/S.
I had put in 8 m/S but I saw that it was forcing the engines,
giving constant warnings of maximum speed reached. So I decreased
to 7m/S and solved it. So he only warn Max Speed Reached when there is
some wind hitting him.
Descending speed in Sport mode: changed from 2 to 8 m/S.
The drone drops very fast even at this speed. It's practically
a free fall. If you are going to use this descent speed, decelerate
slowly when lowering, because otherwise it forces the engines to brake
and he loses a little bit of stability in doing so. I do not recommend
walk forward or sideways, decreasing at this speed.
Comments:
I let the GPS mode speeds the factory setting.
I used homemade deflectors made from RedBull cans.
I think they can help improve the signal.
You can easily make one at home or purchase over the internet.
I used the OTG cable to connect to the controller.
Screen rec app is DU Recorder.
The battery consumption of my Spark going down at 8m/S in a day
without wind, it is approximately 10% every 1000m.
When descending, the engines use between 15 and 20% of their capacity.
Unlike the climb, where they use between 70 and 80% (without wind).
So I consider it a safe margin to go down from 2kM - 6,5kFT with the battery by 40%. Lowering at 30% is a little riskier, but I also believe be possible to be done.
Remember!
If you are going to do "long heigts" do it on days with little wind
and preferably without clouds. There is an account of a brother who flew
above the clouds and his Spark identified then as being the
floor and was not getting down through them. After going down in a very slow speed he managed to get out but, it's a big danger, because you waste to much battery, so be careful!
I checked after the flights, with my hands, the temperature
of the engines and comparing to other flights ,they didn’t
look overheated to me.
Can modifications cause problems? I think so. For a while
I didn't have any. I think it's important to have videos like this to exchange
information!

Carregue bem as baterias do drone e do controle!
Use defletores! No meu caso usei defletores caseiros feitos de latas de Red Bull
Através dos tutorias indicados modifiquei a velocidade de ascensão do modo Sport de 3 para 7m/S e a de descida de 2 para 8m/S.
Limite de 500m de altura desbloqueado.
Retorno automático por bateria baixo retirado. Assim o drone não voltará automaticamente ao HomePt. ao alertar sobre bateria baixa. Conheça bem
seu drone antes de utilizar esta modificação!
Controle passado para o modo FCC. Aumenta a potência do controle de 0,5 para 1,5Watts.
Utilizei cabo OTG para o vôo.
Observações:
Meu Spark está utilizando cerca de 10% de bateria por kM de descida, em dia sem vento. Creio ser seguro baixar de 2kM com 40 ou até 30% de bateria. Ao baixar a 8m/S ele utiliza cerca de 15 a 20% da potência dos motores. Ao subir a 7m/S utiliza entre 70 e 80%.
Eu havia colocado a velocidade de subida em 8m/S mas estava dando muito alerta de MaxSpeedReached, assim baixei para 7m/S e resolveu o problema, só dando o alerta ao subir com um pouco de vento.
Baixar a 8m/S é praticamente uma queda livre. Se for realizar esta alteração freie devagar na descida para não forçar os motores não desequilibrar o drone.
Verifiquei que os motores não aqueceram mais que em vôos "normais" voando com estas alterações.
É possível dar problema? Sim. Mas por enquanto vai tudo tranquilo! Vamos trocar ideias nos comentários e bons vôos para todo mundo! Abraços!

Just flying my regional turbo prop over Sydney at 500km/h with 35 souls on board... And spotted a drone hovering at 13,000 feet. Missed our windscreen / left engine by approx 10 meters. Scared the fuck out of me. I’ve been a drone user my whole life. But I got no time for this shit. Granted this location looks much more remote. If your in commercial or any airspace. You deserve the book thrown at you if caught.
Why were you flying so low don't aircraft usually fly more than 4000meters but in this case the pilot of the drone was in the wrong, he should have flight radar 24 and not be in the way of aircraft

Regional Turboprops cruise between 12,000-25,000. Jets fly between 30-40,000 feet. And anytime they are not at those levels, they are on climb or descent. Most drone limits around the world are 400 feet or less then 120m for a reason. This is because lighter VFR traffic can fly as low as 500 feet over non populated areas, 1000 feet above populated areas.
As fun as this may seem, myself and colleagues have had several near misses with drones. You can’t control wildlife getting in your way, but sure as shit, if a drone operator takes down an aircraft they will find themselves up for mass murder. No big deal right. All a pilot wants to do is fly low to the ground chasing valleys. Drones can do this legally. Don’t fuck with each others airspace.
The intelligent part of this, is self filming the evidence and then uploading it to the internet haha. DJI keeps track logs of users flights by law. And the SD card on board films in Hd. So if the drone is lost or found the evidence is onboard. DUMB.

Que pasa si se desconecta del control a esa altura el drone? Cómo hace el rth y a qué velocidad sería?
El máximo de velocidad que consegui en RTH fué 3m/S no descubri como cambiar esto.
Pero si perde la señal, te vas volviendo el drone despacio, muy pronto ya se recupera este señal y puedes volver en modo Sport novamente!
Mas por eso solo recomiendo hacer estes vuelos en dias sin viento, muy claros y de cielo abierto!
Yo siempre uso deflectores tambien, para concentrar y aumentar el poder del senãl!

Se me hace un poco extraño la altura en el radar siempre esta la estabilidad supuestamente no hay viento es lo que indica y la distancia de posición son 0 metros o si acaso 1 Metro el dron cuando va agarrando altura lo arrastra el aire algunos metros
Hola hermano! Volé en un dia con mucho poco viento! Con el modo FCC que aumenta la señal. Yo fui solo para arriba. Quando los motores van a 100% probablemente es por conta de una cierta cantidad de viento.
Pero se había mucho viento el app iria advertirme continuamente. Abrazos!

Acredito que o spark alcance uma altitude até mais elevada com segurança. Claro que depende das condições de bateria, vento e sinal do controle. Mas foi top seu record pessoal. Parabéns.
