I own fragrances from some of the same houses that she has on display. Including Tom Ford, Shay and Blue, Frederic Malle, and Roja. And I agree....An update would be nice.
Came back and rewatching it because of Persolaise. Reminds me of how much I love your style and the way you described the perfumes you are passionate about. I felt like I could actually smell the scent with you! Love it!
This video should have 10M views! Sally thank you for making me love perfumes even more. Would you mind doing a second video like this one, maybe an updated one?
Gah I just adore this video. Love how you really go into detail about each scent. I also have my perfumes out on display, they make me so happy just looking at them. Nothing more elegant and feminine than gorgeous clinking bottles of perfume :)
Ah Rive Gauche!!!!! I wore this all throughout the 70's! Fragrance brings back such memories doesn't it? That's one reason why it's so marvelous! I also have worn for much of my college years, ZEN by Shiseido in the black cylinder bottle! Heaven! Sali, have you smelled Hermes L'Jour de Absolu???? What is this family? I love learning about the top notes, bottom notes of fragrances! Sali: since Jasmine is my favorite flower, tell me, do you know of a beautiful fragrance comprised of Jasmine notes????? I used to wear Love's Musky Jasmine scent growing up....remember this???? I think it was my first ever fragrance when I was about 12. Then in Paris, I bought Paco Rabanne, my first "real" perfume.
Am I the only woman on the planet who was heartbroken when Yves Saint Laurent discontinued Cinema? I was a student in France back in 2004 when it came out. I still have 3 bottles of it ........anyone else love it as much as me? Just a WOW scent.
Thank you for the escapism. I love your sensuous language, felt I could smell the perfumes. You have a beautiful home; very cool wallpaper and period fireplace.
I stumbled upon this wonderful video and have watched it twice now. Thank you so much for also making the list. I love chypres as well. In my cupboard: Infusion D'iris, SL Bas de Soie, Guerlain L'Heure Bleue, Bottega Veneta, Chanel No. 5 Eau Premiere, Shalimar Parfum Initial, A tiny sample of Prada L'Eau Ambree, and some more. I am wearing Loulou.
Fragrances are my madeleine de Proust. What I feel towards a scent is very much rooted in my memory but most importantly in my childhood. *Diptyque Eau de Lierre* is the perfect example: it's a fresh green fragrance that reminds me of the clean and crisp air of the Alps where I grew up. I didn't really buy it in order to wear it, I just loved the memories it brought back. I'm a very, very big fan of Miller Harris. *Terre d'iris* and *Figue Amère* are probably my favourites. I also really like *Oolang Infini* (Atelier cologne) but I never wear it. I also own *Petite Chérie* (Annick Goutal). It's a very feminine and romantic fragrance that I don't wear often, but it was my first ever perfume as a young teenager, so it's very dear to me. Talking about romance and femininity, I fell in love with *Drôle de Rose* from L'Artisan Parfumeur and live on the sample they gave me. Again, from L'Artisan, I have *Thé pour un été* which is my go-to summer fragrance alongside the pharmacy brand Roger & Gallet's *Figuier*. The fragrances I wear on a daily basis are *L'eau de Bonpoint*. *Mûre et Musc* (L'Artisan Parfumeur) and finally *Fleur en Fleur* (West Third Brand). Last night, I went a bit crazy and bought *Je t'aime Jane* (Bella Freud) without even smelling it... As for the candles, the only ones I own were gifts and they are all from Byredos (*'Bibliothéque', 'Cotton Poplin', 'Fleur Fantôme'* and *'Tree House'*).
O Lord ,you talk so wonderfully about my most dearly loved things in life-the Alps(our European Alps) and Perfumes...I,indeed live mostly for the matchless loveliness of the two of them....They lend the deeper meaning of my own life...I am filled with such a great gladness every time when I hear someone like you who thinks and talks with great insight about the feelings begotten by the amazing fragrances and the Alps....(but the only time when I need not to put perfume on me is when I am walking in an Alpine wood....The smell of the Alpine woodlands is so bewitchinly soothing that it would be meaningless to blend the smell of the Alpine woodland with some perfume ....a walk in an Alpine wood needs only a body and clothes smelling only of utter cleanliness, nothing else...but otherwise I cannot live without the smell of expensive fragrance put on my body or on my clothes )...I always need the wonderful background which mostly only the expensive fragrance can give ..)
This perfume collection is one of the most sophisticated I have ever seen. Love how you discribed them also. I go to this video once and a while to get reinspired. Would be interesting seeing an update of your collection🌷❤ Great taste!
What a beautiful collection of fragrances! I adore the way you speak of scent! You're so knowledgable, thoughtful and articulate with a true understanding of composition, scent history, and story. I would love to see an updated collection as well!
What a lovely collection and lots of new ideas to try out. Thanks Sali! My favourite is Aqua di Parma Iris Nobile. Loved hearing the history of Rive Gauche, I remember Charlie had a similar campaign in the 70s, I used to wear it as a teenager, I loved that fragrance!
They really do look beautiful on your mantle piece! I love No. 5 Eau Premiere, Prada Iris, Luten's Bois de Violette and Feminite du bois. Thanks for your videos -- I love your collaboration videos with Mary Greenwell! You two are great together!
Fantastic video! Thank you very much for sharing your exquisite collection! Some favorites of mine, tucked into the perimeters of dresser drawers are: Chanel Coco, Bottega Veneta, Daim Blond, and For Her.
I have over 100 perfumes and i have them on wall shelves and my dresser in my bedroom. The trick is to keep the blinds on the room window closed 24/7 and viola, you can display and have them at easy, quick access and no molecules are damaged!
When you said you dropped the bottle of La Tulipe, I almost cried!! It is my most recent favorite. I have a very difficult time with fragrances because most give me a terrible headache and I have to scrub them off immediately. I got a sample and when I wore it several times without getting sick I purchased the bottle. I enjoyed your review, I have 5 that I rotate. I keep them on a tray on my dresser & wear them daily even if I'm not going anywhere. I don't keep them only for special occasions. As far as fragrance goes, everyday is special.
Hello Sali. It's an absolute pleasure to meet you. I'm so glad to have found you. You are so beautiful, smart, so informative and poetic at the same time. New subscriber and so excited. Thank you for this channel. I mostly have no clue and you just take me through it. You are so grammatically graceful. Much love from California 💋
Beautiful Collection! 💓 Some of my favorites are: Montale Roses Elixir, Alien Essense, Jo Malone Dark Amber Ginger Lily, Tom Ford Neroli Portofino ..... The one I will love to test is Elixir Charnel Gourmand Coquin by Guerlain. Thank You for this awesome video! 😍
This is one of the best collection videos I've seen. As an enthusiast and reviewer myself I loved seeing your passion shine through. Totally agree with you at the end. Fragrance is one of the most accessible luxuries in life. My scent of the day was Roja Parfums Vetiver! Take care.
Loved the video Sali. It was a pleasure hearing you talk so passionately about a subject you obviously love and know so much about! Will definitely need to take a whiff of L'Eau d'Hiver next time I'm at a Frederic Malle counter.
Fantastic video, your passion shines through. I share your love of Rive Gauche - only the Male version. Of over 1000 fragrances I have tried, it is in my top 10 and I rated it 10/10 in my YT review!
Love revisiting this video time and time again! My tastes have changed over time. I have loved so many fragrances through the years. My current favourite is uncharacteristically a strong scent for me, but love it, Juliet Has A Gun Lady Vengeance, bold and beautiful but dries down to clean floral perfection. I just ordered Rive Gauche, it was too strong when I was young, but I am not a girl anymore and ready for it now, if that makes any sense? Love the way as women we evolve in so many ways, including our gravitation towards fragrances.
Just watching this for the 100th time. Such a lovely video, just looking at all those lovely fragrances has such a calming effect. I would absolutely love to see an updated video 😁
BY FAR the best perfume collection on youtube. Thank you! You mentioned Creed. Green Irish Tweed will make any man instantly desirable. Acqua di parma is one I can't live without. I have about 35 perfumes myself. My most current purchase; Songes by Annick Goutal.
Excellent overview. Beautiful display. I am similar in the fact I know you should have you perfumes in a dark, cool, dry place, but the bottles are so pretty and I keep them on a mantle by my back door as I leave for work and spritz as I walk out the door.
Oh Sali I bought the Roja Dove Vetiver Extrait off the back of this review. I recently purchased the Vetiver Pour Homme Eau de Parfum which is still beautiful but not quite the same. I wish he would re-issue the extrait. Hope you will do an updated mantlepiece one day!
love your perfume collection… i went and bought few of perfumes based on your reviews… and i love them and i must definitely agree with what you have said about perfume at the end of your video..
I am Iris mad too! I have the Iris perfume from Santa Maria Novella, which I am in love with. Chanel #5 introduced me to perfume and to my love of iris :)
I love this video. Have saved it and once in a while I watch it 😄 I am absolutely obsessed with perfumes and own many of these and much more😇♥️ I totally agree with what you say about scent .. however, mine are nicely covered in a special closet and if you’re looking for me in the house .. that’s where you find me .. in my magical most favorite part of my house with all the lovely gems in .. arranged based on season . Please release another video like this one.. 😊
Beautiful video, thank you. I am a Chanel no. 5 and Prada Infusion d'Iris girl all the way, but I am also never without something from Hermès' Eau d'Orange Verte range. It is thoroughly lovely and smells of holidays in the sun (/shade ;-). I live in Copenhagen but when in London in April, I will be running to Liberty to sniff around the Frederic Malle counter. Can't wait.
I have just tried YSL Rive Gauche and I'm in love !! It's developing on my skin and it's getting better and better. I have duly ordered my bottle. I will also try to get my hands on Rive d'Ambre by Tom Ford and Atelier Cologne Grande Neroli and Frederic Malle L'Eau d'Hiver, as I reckon I might like them too. Thank you so much for your honest reviews!! Guerlain Jicky, LouLou by Cacharel, Czech&Speake Neroli, Oeydo by Diptyque and Yves Rocher Secret d'Essences Neroli are currently the stars of my collection.
Thanks for sharing your collection. You are so lovely to listen to and have the best and most educated recommendations and critiques out there. I am obsessed with fragrance and the poetry of smell. I think it's brilliant to listen to others describe scent because the we all pick up on different notes based on experience and mood. Smell tends to be my signifying sense and my barometer of life. I have kept all my perfumes, even from when I was a little girl, and though some of the older ones have spoiled, I can't bare to throw them out. These days my favorites are Atelier Cologne Orange Sanguine and Mistral Patchouli mixed. I love this range because the fragrances are so basic and straightforward that I can play perfumer and mix ratios depending on my mood and weather. Do you ever mix your perfumes? Thanks Sali!
Great video! Very inspiring! I love Guerlain l'instant magic, rosabotanica, cartier baiser volé, also narciso rodriguez, flower by kenzo, chanel cristalle and nr. 5, e. lauder private collection jasmine & white moss and prada candy.
Outstanding collection!, best one Ive seen on You Tube! We have very similar tastes . I adore Narcisso Rodriguez for her this time of year and Chanel no 5 for those holiday get together. Coco mademoiselle is my signature sent for all occasions and work as well. I love all your videos , Merry Christmas
Will never tire of: Volutes Diptyque This screams 'Summer': Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess For the most compliments: Chanel Coco Mademoiselle Solid go to's: Aerin Amber Musk and Tom Ford Shanghai Lily Scent of my youth: Classique Jean Paul Gaultier Chilling around the house: Laura Mercier Fresh Fig On the wish list: Chanel No 5 and Infusion d'Iris Discontinued but used to love: Montana by Charles of the Ritz
I can't remember how I stumbled across you, but I'm ever so pleased I did! You have some lovely perfumes. Chanel no. 5 was my first perfume and my mother always had a bottle of rive gauche in her posession. At the moment I am loving Chloe. I can't stop spritzing it on, and have gone through half a bottle since Christmas.
Wow, this is probably my favourite perfume collection/review video on UA-cam! You're so knowledgeable and informed, it really is inspiring. I am so jealous of your collection!
Have you filmed a whats is your everyday makeup bag or would you consider doing one please? I'd love to know what your most reached for products are xx
Such a lovely collection. I adore Laura Mercier Ambre Vanille, Guerlain Dahlia Divin and La Prairie Midnight Rain. I have just discovered Shay and Blue though, I had a sample of Blood Oranges which I loved so much I ordered and took a chance on Salt Caramel which is now an obsession. I wore Angel in my 20's until it seemed everyone did and it always smelled the same.
Watching this for the 2nd time. :) Popped over here after seeing you speaking to "The Hirons" about all her amazing goodies! Iris Silver Mist is to me, a scent Count Dracul would wear. (wish I still had the review I wrote on this one, I'd share it with you.) ISM is undeniably one of the most ingenious, yet spooky, shivery scents I've ever tried. The scent of iris tends toward the melancholy and yet, I, too, love it. I own about six Serge Lutens scents at this time ... I've tried thousands and his are at the top. Chanel Les Exclusifs are at the top of my list: have many samples and one big bottle of Cuir de Russie. Rive Gauche in the '70s ... brilliant. *EXCELLENT* taste. :)
I keep mine on my mantle in my bedroom also and I've always felt guilty, now I feel that I have permission not to! Hearing you talk about them all is fascinating, I didn't always understand but I now want to learn more! I only wish I could afford to buy some of those!
I love your collection! I have my perfume in decorative storage boxes. I have quite a large collection and I keep the majority of the boxes on my dresser. Some of my favorite perfumes are Chloe Intense, Guerlain Flora Nymphea, Jo Malone Velvet Rose & Oud, Tom Ford White Patchouli, and Juliette has a Gun Midnight Oud. I can honestly keep listing them but those of some of my top favorites.
It is really interesting how individualistic choosing your favourite perfumes is. In terms of Les Exclusifs I adore Sycomore, Coromandel and Bois des Iles, Tom Ford would be Noir de noir, Oud fleur and Black orchid, Frederic Malle, Portrait of a Lady, Promise and Rose and Cuir. I am a lady and I've just realised that I gravitate more towards the really heavy and punchy ones hahaha! Lovely video. Just have come across your channel. Beautiful babies photos awww!
Do you ever layer your perfumes? It's a concept that's always been interesting to me but I've never been sure where to begin. Or, say you're leaving your house in the morning but going straight to dinner later; what daytime scent would you put on, and which would you throw in your handbag for the evening? Loved this video, thanks!
You are lovely, I love the way you present your fragrances! I find it funny that you rubbed some fragrance to have it on both hands, we are always taught to let it dry and not apply heat, but I find myself doing that too sometimes, heh :) Great wardrobe!
This is where it all started...I believe this is the first or one of the first fragrance videos i've seen (first in 2016) that started my deep interest and collection of fragrances, especially my interest in niche. I recently came back to this video after being interested in L'eau D'hiver. I was usually drawn to Carnal Flower or Musc Ravageur but L'eau really has this comforting feel to it. I realized then that it smells like The Ritual of Dao that I got from Stansted airport which is a bit more lactonic in accord.
Can she please do an update! I love this video.
I agree missy - more fragrance videos needed!!!!
I own fragrances from some of the same houses that she has on display. Including Tom Ford, Shay and Blue, Frederic Malle, and Roja.
And I agree....An update would be nice.
I always come back to this video for a bit of calm! :)
ouch110 Fragrance Reviews cool seeing you here as I’m a fan of your channel. Much love and respect :)
Same
Same! I wonder if Sali has some new loves?!
same!
Yes… I would love for Sally to revisit her collection .. if they are still the same, less? More?
Came back and rewatching it because of Persolaise. Reminds me of how much I love your style and the way you described the perfumes you are passionate about. I felt like I could actually smell the scent with you! Love it!
Sali, can you do an updated collection? I loved watching this- your passion for scents just shines through!
I agree an updated perfume video would be fab!! I love listening to Sali chat about fragrance
Please, that would be lovely!
This is my absolute favorite perfume collection video. I've watched this video at least 10 times. All collection videos should mimic this video.
+chocolate ties27 ditto
chocolate ties27 me too. I keep coming back to it!

One of the best ! I am watching it 4th time😁😁
Ya perdi la cuenta de las veces que he visto este video 😅😅

This video should have 10M views! Sally thank you for making me love perfumes even more. Would you mind doing a second video like this one, maybe an updated one?
I can feel your love & respect for your perfumes through the video.
Beautiful!
Thank you for sharing your collection & love!
This is still my most favorite perfume video on UA-cam! Sali, could you maybe make an updated perfume collection for us?
A lockdown update would lift all our spirits 🥰
So refreshing to see a REAL quality collection rather than the same commercial frags everyone else seems to have. Gorgeous collection!
Absolutely Beautiful Amazing Collection, such refined taste With your Annick Goutal and Rive Gauche's. Love this.
I have to say i LOVE the way you arranged those bottles! Beautiful baby in the photo too!
The way you speak so passionately and excitedly about fragrances is heartwarming.
Update please! It's such a delight to hear you talk about so many perfumes in one video.
Just discovered your channel from this glance at your perfume collection. Appreciate your taste and style of fragrances.
Quelque Fleurs is a must. Thank you for sharing your beautiful collection.
Suzette Urquides - Quelque fleurs has been destroyed during reformulation by Richard Fraisse of Caron !
Gah I just adore this video. Love how you really go into detail about each scent. I also have my perfumes out on display, they make me so happy just looking at them. Nothing more elegant and feminine than gorgeous clinking bottles of perfume :)
six*impossible*things Totally agree! x
Fantastic video...Thank you.
I keep my collection of 120 bottles in build in wardrobe drawer. It's cool and dark.
Sali, we would love to see an updated perfume video!

Grace Tomaszczyk I love it too - it's still available in the UK. Debra x
Aww really? Thank you so much! Love your video & channel xxx hugs from Poland xx
what they discontinued it? bloody hell I'm just about at the bottom and was about to re purchase. boo
No, but I was heartbroken when YSL stopped EAU LIBRE, and when Lancome stopped SIKKIM and CLIMAT.
Thank you for the escapism. I love your sensuous language, felt I could smell the perfumes. You have a beautiful home; very cool wallpaper and period fireplace.
God that was an enjoyable watch. Like munching a cool, hydrous watermelon on a filthy, scorching day.
Sooo glad you love YSL Rive Gauche. You brought back many memories with that bottle. I'm off to find it again!!
I stumbled upon this wonderful video and have watched it twice now. Thank you so much for also making the list. I love chypres as well. Yes I would also like an update and also wonder what you think of modern perfumes.

Slightly off topic but does anyone know where the wallpaper is from?
I came here every once in a while, it soothes me to an unimaginable degree

I love Rive Gauche as it is what my mum wore when I was young (along with Estee Lauder Youth Dew). Loved this video x
I still wear Youth Dew occasionally. People always tell me it reminds them of their grandmother (I'm about that age...).
I would love to see an updated perfume collection video! :-)
Sali, I don't even know how many times I've watched this video in the last few years. I love it.
It’s been a while you graced us with an updated perfume collection

Just watch it again. Love perfume and love your passion about them!
When will we get to see the new additions to your collection, Sali? :)
+BobzGP
I just now asked this over on her video with "The Hirons." (Caroline Hirons.)
what a beautiful collection!
This popped up again in 2020, please do an update 😊
Fantastic video, your passion shines through. I share your love of Rive Gauche - only the Male version. Of over 1000 fragrances I have tried, it is in my top 10 and I rated it 10/10 in my YT review!
The best perfume collection video. Love all of them!!

lisadaniels123 Agreed - too pretty to hide. x
I absolutely love this video...keep re-watching as im obsessed with fragrace too! Roja is definitely next on my list x
Glad that you included ysl rive gauche. Not many people mention it ❤️
love your perfume collection… i went and bought few of perfumes based on your reviews… and i love them and i must definitely agree with what you have said about perfume at the end of your video..
Portrait of a Lady...I'm not a huge rose fan but I couldn't resist this one! I get a lot of compliments when I wear this one.
We do have No5 and Mitsouko in common 😀 I keep my scents stored away, and even so they can turn color and loose precious notes
I really loved Poison , In the Eighties.
It was in a beautiful purple glass bottle.
Love this video. Cong u have beautiful collection and sopfisticated taste.
I am Iris mad too! I have the Iris perfume from Santa Maria Novella, which I am in love with. Chanel #5 introduced me to perfume and to my love of iris :)
Can you do another scent update? Huge 💜

Thank you so much for your honest reviews!!
Guerlain Jicky, LouLou by Cacharel, Czech&Speake Neroli, Oeydo by Diptyque and Yves Rocher Secret d'Essences Neroli are currently the stars of my collection.
I watched this video 3 years ago and it started my perfume addiction 3 years later I’m a lot Poorer but at least I smell nice lol great video
I'm with you on this. I have a proud display of perfumes in my walk in wardrobe and it cheers me up so much ☺
Thanks for sharing your collection.

What I wonderful, deep and thoughtful review! So glad I came across of it! Thanks for sharing!
Fantastic collection, Sali.
such a nice collection !
Chanel Chance is my signature perfume. That smell gives me life.
Watching this for the 2nd time. :)
Popped over here after seeing you speaking to "The Hirons" about all her amazing goodies!
Iris Silver Mist is to me, a scent Count Dracul would wear.
(wish I still had the review I wrote on this one, I'd share it with you.)
ISM is undeniably one of the most ingenious, yet spooky, shivery scents I've ever tried.
Loved this video, thanks!
thanks for sharing!
how come you like jo malone when you dont like watered down perfumes? for the price im really dissapointed by their longevity >_
z emaliie My Jo Malone last a long time on me.
You are lovely, I love the way you present your fragrances! I find it funny that you rubbed some fragrance to have it on both hands, we are always taught to let it dry and not apply heat, but I find myself doing that too sometimes, heh :) Great wardrobe!
Update pleaaasaase
This is where it all started...I believe this is the first or one of the first fragrance videos i've seen (first in 2016) that started my deep interest and collection of fragrances, especially my interest in niche. I recently came back to this video after being interested in L'eau D'hiver. I was usually drawn to Carnal Flower or Musc Ravageur but L'eau really has this comforting feel to it. I realized then that it smells like The Ritual of Dao that I got from Stansted airport which is a bit more lactonic in accord.
