I was just getting ready to ask this very question. Thank you so much for posting content like this. I am getting into toy photography and this was one of my biggest how to questions.
With nothing but, a truthful comment. Thank you. You just broke my mind! I’m not having a very good 55 birthday today. Not meaning to complain. My 75 pound Dog, that I love more than anything, pulled my arm yesterday. Just feeling a little sore. More than words, impressive work. So glad I learned about you today. Thanks again. Be safe out there.
Just discovered your channel recently and have been taking in a bunch of your tutorials...this seems MUCH simpler and more effective than what I've done in the past - thank you!!
Yess thank you, I've been wondering how other people do their glowing lightsabers and how to make it seem like they are glowing. Couldn't think of a better person to explain this, thanks
I prefer to use small lightsticks. I am talking about the these sticks which you break and the fluid starts glowing. Cheap and easy to use. You can get this stuff at the fishing-store.
Literally became a follower a couple hours ago and already watched like a dozen of em and i love your videos think I’ve learned a few things but i was wondering can you do a video of your gear you use?
Wow this is very helpful! I have some trouble doing this with Gimp where there are light shades around the lightsaber. Is there a quick workaround for it aside from erasing manually?
That’s really cool, easy enough to understand. I don’t have Star Wars figures except for little grogu XD but would love to give this a try! Your tutorials have been really helpful in bettering my toy photography, thanks
So I could not find any light saber "effects" type apps to add one into your photos. They are all simulators for your phone and light saber games for kids if you read the descriptions. Maybe you could list a few that you found that were free that you like. That would be more helpfull.
Love this video thanks for the help, one question and I apologize if you've already made a video on this but how do you make it look like the lightsaber is piercing someone like that photo of maul piercing the storm trooper ?
So glad it was helpful dude! I didn’t use the actual red plastic piece in the maul shot. Then I painted in the lightsaber the same way I did in this video! Except I erased a bit of the saber out to make it look like it was going straight through the trooper! Hope this helps dude!
It definitely does bring the quality down a bit, but doesn’t make much of a difference for insta 😁 and I definitely agree, that would make things easier for sure 😂
Exactly how I do mine too haha. Who has gave the video a thumbs down!? Probably someone who didn’t want anyone else to know how to do it lol, Honestly I don’t get some people!
This same process can be used for many things! Blasters, lasers, glowing eyes, etc! Make sure to tag me in your shots so I can see what you do!!

@@sirdork730 this was really helpful thank you 😁😁😁
I just used Pics Art on my phone for today's shot.
What do you use to get your photo from the computer to Instagram? Google Drive?
Hey dude! Since Instagram doesn’t need super high resolution photos, I just send my photos to myself through Facebook messenger 😂 does the job!
@@sirdork730 I usually use Google Drive or email. Facebook and Messenger tends to compress and take quality away I’ve noticed.
@@sirdork730 I wish they’d let us upload from a computer.
It definitely does bring the quality down a bit, but doesn’t make much of a difference for insta 😁 and I definitely agree, that would make things easier for sure 😂
I needed this a day ago man ended up fumbling around and finding a way close to this lol
I think the same technique would be the way good for laser blasts, this is the way.
Yea definitely! This process can be use s for a lot of things including blaster effects!
Hi Jared it’s Tom’s figure photography

Which one is the best of lightsaber fx for iPhone cause I don’t want a not so good one?
i have one question what is the editing app you are using?
Can anyone recommend a lightsaber fx app for Android, having a look and they all look a bit dodgy
Can Anyone suggest any of those lightsaber Fx apps?
Thanks Jared, very useful tutorial this one. @outerrimpirate out😉
Exactly how I do mine too haha. Who has gave the video a thumbs down!? Probably someone who didn’t want anyone else to know how to do it lol, Honestly I don’t get some people!
