I’m really enjoying this series so far! I have a few tips. First, did you notice that your battle speed is on x3 instead of x1? Not sure if you meant to leave it like that, but it’s causing the game to skip the kinship attack scenes! I’d say it would be a good idea to just leave it on x1 speed unless you want to get through a battle quickly. You can press the + button on your controller to change the speed! There is a feature that doesn’t come into play until after the trial part of the game, it’s called the right of channeling. That’s what allows you to further power up and change the elements of your monsters! If you give a monster enough elemental attack of a certain type, part of its body will change colour! This was also in the original game, but it’s been a long time since that play through. Monsters that are asleep on a nest don’t wake up unless you take too many eggs! Even then, they aren’t guaranteed to wake at all. So don’t worry about being sneaky around them! Lastly is a completely optional thing that I just think will make these videos more enjoyable. A lot of Monster Hunter Stories 2 will be cutscenes and dialogue that can last for a very long time. I think it would be nice if you talked a little during them, just so that we can hear your reactions to certain things! For example, in the original Stories, we didn’t get to see your reaction to important things like Ratha’s reappearance, the final boss, Navirou’s transformation and other things until well after the moment they happened. It would be really nice to hear your first reaction to that sort of thing! I know you don’t want to interrupt important moments, but most of us have already seen them, and there are also subtitles for if someone misses something! Just an idea though, these videos are still enjoyable as they are!
yeah~ something you'll learn is that monsters have weaknesses to certain weapons as well. see, when you're about to fight a monster, you can see the list of weapons that work on them so when she told you to switch, she meant you weapon since swords don't do a lot to a Yian Kut-Ku. same for a lot of monsters in the game, which is good you can carry up to 3, If i remember correctly, at a time. good thing you can defeat and gather tons of monsters and get better equipment and upgrade them and some even have abilities like leaving poison. it's all about experimenting on what you like.
so something i learned from the demo is there is now a time system when you leave a camp or village which was not in the game before which actually makes it more fun to go out at different times of the day not to just collect new items like the different mushrooms, but also for different monsters. i think it makes the world feel more alive then just having it feel like one long day happened through out the game, kind of like Pokemon in a sense who have done this since Gen 2. huh... strange the sequels both have different times of day with differences between the two. I'm not complaining.😁
