Good video Andy, really enjoyed the walk round of the machine, things moved on a bit since the old foam bout markers an a 150 gallon tank front an rear, was surprised that a high tech machine like that wasn't auto steer, ,👍👍
Robert Paterson Hi thanks! We could of had auto steer but it’s extra cost when most the time it has tram lines to follow so doesn’t need it really, it is a lovely comfortable machine to use 👍
A great Informative video you done there Andy the interior of the new style cab looks so much better to the older style they had, everything looks laid out so much better and there looks a lot more room in there as well. Your grass is looking really well, around here farmers have done the odd bit of silage but what hasn't been cut yet the grass is looking fantastic, it's come on fast these past few week becoming long with that lush silver tint to it. we've finally had some rain today the first decent amount in five week and it was actually a torrential Thunderstorm flooding everywhere pretty quickly but we did need a drop of water especially for the crops and it will only urge the grass on some more in these warm temperatures too, Anyways bud have a good week.
Hi Craig yeah it’s dry down here we were supposed to have rain this week but so far just a couple showers it won’t be long now till we’re mowing, another 2 or 3 weeks I think. You a better and back to work now? 👍
It's a farming life for me! Yeah bud thanks for asking, been back a couple of weeks now i was glad get out the house in the end, was a bit knackered the first week back but now its like i was never away 😀 🤙🏻
Great video andy, good to see Eric getting involved, drop of rain this week hopefully get things growing, nice tidy sprayer, have you always had self propelled sprayer? Really informative video.
Hiya Layton! Cheers we haven’t had much rain yet unfortunately and that’s our third self propelled Bateman, dad had a trailed sprayer before the first Bateman but I don’t remember it I just remember the first Bateman when I was a kid 👍
We made the more from mounted to self-propelled a couple years ago and it's a massive benefit, much easier, quicker and easy to use... kept the mounted sprayer as a backup but never needed it,,, must drag out and sell it....sometime...our next move is into liquid fertilizer.
Leroy Taylor You won’t regret changing to liquid it’s more accurate and can apply in most weather conditions and best of all you don’t have to deal with all those bags lol 👍
@@Itsafarminglifeforme I hadn't thought of the bags - no more cutting the middles out for the recycling man...had best get on and get that silo sorted for the liquid quick, before he orders next years
Leroy Taylor Lol yeah I think if you purchase the fertiliser from Yara they supply the tanks I don’t no the details but I no the farm doesn’t own our tanks Yara does 👍
Andy do you have much trouble with magpies? We have chickens and they always try and steal the eggs or eat the hen food. Once I was in a forest park and they was a magpie trying to get the eggs off another bird so I threw a stone at it and a lady saw me and went ballistic. I didn’t even start to explain why? Townies never understand
Great video.rolls Royce of a sprayer.is it just me or is the joystick a little dated or even clumsy ? Everything else in the cab is a great idea and well laid out
Great vid Andy that’s a tidy sprayer there smart bit of kit 👍👍
Now you're farming, cant beat a bit of spraying action

christhemilkman1
Cheers! It’s 24 metre 👍
Also why is the liquid fertiliser dribbled on and not sprayed. loved this video very interesting do it again!!
Luke Nicholl
Hi thank you we use dribble bars because we want the fertiliser to go straight down to the soil not the plant. 👍
Thanks
