Loving the videos, so used to 'small' farm things its go nice to see how a large farm operates, can not believe you take such a personal interest in so many different aspects of everything rather than just delegate and get reports. Managers from big companies could certainly learn a lot from your approach.
Absolutely thrilling to see the harvest season kick off with such intensity and precision. Your crew’s unity and strength are truly commendable, congratulations on a successful harvest!
James and team, this is fantastic content. The way you are presenting your operation is outstanding and the operation itself is very impressive. James, the way you manage your team is a credit to you... you would be highly sought after employer. I can tell by the personal connection you have with your team that is shown on each video and your team's professionalism, competence and knowledge they show. I've been watching for the last week after discovering the content. Keep uploading. Have a safe and enjoyable harvest. From a Kiwi dairy and beef farmer.
Thank you for a very well explained view of your farm I was in farming over 40 years and there arnt many farmers who explain in such detail, hope weather and yields are kind to you, regards paul
I am really loving your channel James. Your daughters are living the best life so good on you. Cherish them because they grow up so fast (my little girl is now 31!). Your channel is so informative, thank you.
Excellent informative video for agricultural and novice viewers. As a retired combine service engineer, I always look forward to harvesting videos. I know its a busy and stressful time of year for you, and appreciate the time it takes to produce quality video output. Relatively local to you (West Suffolk), but havent seen any combines working nearby yet. Keep up the good work and best wishes to you and all your team.
love the videos. That drier is certainly much more advanced that when i ran one. Same principles though. I would get it all set up - then grandad would come in and start speeding it up behind my back and it would go out wetter or hotter than it should be. Just wonderful fun most of the time. (when i look back shovelling corn and putting malathiane dust on manually don't want to do that again!) keep going team.
Awesome, thanks for the time and effort, I'm very interested about the axle on the chaser bin, had no idea the axles extend out! What a brilliant idea. Our roads in NEW Zealand are the same.
Great video. Thank you for being so honest about the rape yields and the fact that once you deduct the areas taken out due to failure the outcome is probably negative.. I take inspiration from your positiveness and can do attitude.
Great video and very interesting that chaser bit was a surprise and I am guessing something to put on the inspection list and something that doesn’t happen very often and great coordination from the team 👍👍
This is my first season as a subscriber with you guys and girls. As an ex farmer/mechanic I can relate to getting choreography finely tuned for efficient outcomes. Looking forward to seeing more of your work
Great to see it all happening at last- must be great for you and your team to get going. Great way of introducing members of your team over the coming videos. Stay safe and keep on harvesting.
Well done on getting started, lets hope this weather settles down and you can crack on. Nice to see everyone in good spirits , and a great team you have there. Can't wait until your next video.
Loving the vids James Best of luck with the harvest 2024 Keep em coming. Living in West wales where we don’t see large Combines Happy days 🏴🏴
Great videos, nice to see how other farmers do things. Work on a farm in Kent and we are still waiting for the osr to ripen, we planted it late to try and miss the flea beetle which we did thankfully , I think we will do the winter barley first if we can get a few dry sunny days.
Great video James thanks for sharing information on your yields etc hopefully things will go smoothly when we get some more settled weather always frustrating when no matter how well you service machinery it breaks as soon as you start to use it only better now than when your really busy
Love the videos, really good to see your attention to detail and professionalism in farming, love to also see your positive attitude to H&S for you and your staff. Great stuff 🏴🏴🏴🏴
James, it is great to see you guys at the Harvest, exciting time yet it's all in reality, you are a great leader in all aspects of the tillage, your attitude and the overall look of the new combines, chaser bins, lorrys, your indepth knowledge is an asset, my late mother used to say: if you can't feed a man when he is working, how do you expect him to do work, and are your eyes bigger than your belly, it's mind over matter, I don't mind and the weight doesn't matter, James instead of your pudding, why not try, Natural Greek yogurt with local Honey mixed in it, it's the benefit at the end of the day eating it, Michael power county Waterford Ireland [Eire]
Really enjoying your videos. Paints a great overall picture of farming alongside Harry’s Farm channel 👍👍. Also enjoy chatting with the farmer behind where I live. He’s a lot smaller than you and does two wheats and an OSR rotation. He also cuts his OSR rather than spray it which is interesting to see.
Just watched my first of your videos. Excellent information and details. Takes me back to harvest time in the 70’s and 80’s before moving into Financial Services for a living. All the best with the rest of your harvest, great times when everything is working! I remember stress levels going up with breakdowns and the weather!
Fantastic video James absolutely loving this channel your farming enterprise is so interesting and inspiring, would love to see a machinery tour when things quieten down👍
Great video been dyeing to see ye goin at it 👌🏻 amazing yer at OSR 1st…. Here in 🇮🇪 we’re at Barley 1st….. although OSR is ready too!!! Have a great and safe harvest 🤞🏻😁
hi james you a very calm with your work force which is fantastic great video Information also great about crops and machinery all workers and Boss doing a fine job
I just discovered your channel a couple of weeks ago and is now a family favourite. Love your presentation. The good lady would like to know what the big picture is in your office, the one you stand in front of. Thanks.
I remember turning up at Nocton in 1997 to 3 brand new Claas Lexion 460s and thinking it was the biggest farm on earth. So must be great for young lads to rock up with you to all that kit. And you’re definitely a better boss than Paul Clark ever was too 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
It so frustrating to hear people that do not appreciate what farmers have to go through, to do all the work to discover you haven't made a profit, lets hope that the yields will improve, I really can not see oil seed rape being grown for too much longer in the UK.
I didn’t grow up on a farm but in a gravel quarry, I was a bit younger then your daughter when gramps let me drive the old Mack truck, bulldozer and the like, growing up around equipment and trucks and tractors, I wouldn’t have traded it for the world
First one for me. It is LIGHT YEARS away from my experiences as a student in the late Seventies/Early Eighties. Where did you lear your people skills ? not at College/Uni? I guess you either have it or, you don't.
22:58 You need to try and get her a bit further back. She’s right in the danger area for the airbag and you never know when you’re bumping about off-road.
Ive been looking to see some combines round here, some spring barley has been started but got rained off, im guessing tomorow and tuesday if it stays dry. im 16 and got a job working at a vineyard, going to work on a farm someday.
Not the biggest of combines and tractors you could speed the job up with bigger equipment like Mike Mitchell has, one of his combines would eat up as much as all your combines put together....... Get a grip get some big John deers instead of them crappy things
Absolutely, having used Lexions for best part of 20 years, must do a proper calibration, each machine needs to work separately and do half dozen tank fulls. A must at the beginning of the season and with new machines.
Good one James, n how arable farming works. , why the government don't subsidise osr as a break crop I don't know, its a challenge to grow, it's widely used by all of our population. We will import tons of vegetable oil, it's good winter cover for wildlife. and a food sauce for pollinators, ticks all the boxes of winter cover crops and feeds us,

Harvest 😊😊. Brings back all my summers memories on the farm, hauling grain with the TW25 and 10 ton trailer.
Great explanation of how you dry grain very informative 👌

Superb James, brilliant videos, dedicated staff and a super setup.

Great video James, have learnt to never get excited with combine yield meters when starting in OSR, it always leaves you disappointed !!
Matilda driving brings back memories you teaching me James, on our weekends at Scotland Farm ❤️

I enjoy your analysis of yields and costs
Hope u and staff have a great harvest
Great to see guys. Goodluck with it all!
Well done James Matilda did fine no retest required. Sorry for the loss on OSR it's a lottery. Keep smiling my friend. 😊❤
Really enjoying watching you and the PX team and hope you's have a safe and plentiful harvest 24
hi james you a very calm with your work force which is fantastic great video Information also great about crops and machinery all workers and Boss doing a fine job
lovely video of farm management...
is there anything better than watching your young'uns drive a vehicle.
A sensible, informative East Anglian farming broadcast, almost as good as Wardys Waffle and much much better than others.
Great vid again.... Hope the weather comes right and you can crack on👌
Well done Matilda, driving with dad and being filmed. Very brave. James did well to, only one moment right at the end........😂
excellent update again keep them coming
Great to see all of your Lexions at work, James.
A very tidy setup, I’ve always been told if you won’t to make a small fortune out of farming you need to start with a big fortune 😂
It’s the first time I’ve seen chaser bin used in England they make harvest so much more efficient
Good informative input, thank you. Fingers crossed it goes your way.
Love harvest time, great video. It’s going to be a late finish this year!
Good vid glad it’s not just me that’s disappointed with yield 😢
Good video , itching to get cutting here in Cornwall 😂
Have a safe and great harvest. Great video
great good luck with harvest 2024
What a great team 👏

What about the Nocton manager John ?
@@martinreams he was ok until I destroyed the combo drill. Looked a bit grumpy that day. 🤣🤣🤣

Great video James
Good videos mate.
Do you ever get stressed James or are you always this chilled out and laughing.
Treacle toffee pudding with custard.... hopefully with silver service....
Great video fine to see your going
4:37 hi James great video again. Did you once host Tillage on those fields at Great Eversden.? Must be 20 odd yrs ago.
First one for me. It is LIGHT YEARS away from my experiences as a student in the late Seventies/Early Eighties. Where did you lear your people skills ? not at College/Uni? I guess you either have it or, you don't.
Good video, 5 ton a ha this year would be a shock!
22:58 You need to try and get her a bit further back. She’s right in the danger area for the airbag and you never know when you’re bumping about off-road.
Just seen one of your trucks up in east yorks you been delivering malting barley
Enjoyed the video ✔️
Daughter Range Rover driving should be a permanent feature!

WHAT ….. cutting Spring Barley in July…… in what country??
@@jascollinscork Winter barley, sorry. was not concentrating while typing that lmao
😂😂 only weighted that counts is the lorries over the weighbridges..😂
Hello. A lot of hard good work, lets make some money and some food for all people all over the world! Have a super, funny, nice day. Bye. Rudi.
Hope you don't mind me asking but its obvious you farm on massive scale, but what's your biggest single field..
👌👌👌👌👌
Bumper year..😂
You’re lucky with the weather as it’s been poor this whole last week.
How many acres do you farm altogether
I get the feeling “Pecky” would be a right lad with a beer or two on board! 😉
I had to stop drinking because for that exact reason 😉
what track width is the fendt at 14:45 running?
Hi do you not have a exception in the lorry drivers driving hours when carting green grain ?
No they don't. EU rules 561/2006 will state what they can / can't do.

Claas Yieldmeters never were the best! Think they need calibrating
Absolutely, having used Lexions for best part of 20 years, must do a proper calibration, each machine needs to work separately and do half dozen tank fulls. A must at the beginning of the season and with new machines.

Nice upload but why can’t you quote in tons per acre instead of that foreign metric crap, I’ve heard you mention acres many times!
So you want to mix metric tons with imperial acres? lol ok then.
Because modern farming needs precise measurements. Imperial is too inaccurate.
Great informative video thanks, best of luck with harvest 2024 👍
