You being a "nerd" is adorable actually & I think people who incorporate what they love into their everyday lives are just happier people so never apologize or feel awkward about it. I don't wear makeup but I really enjoyed watching your haul. Turmeric is really good for acne (I still suffer with it around my time of the month or when stressed out) ❤

Love this vlog and what fun! Most of your items are useable so I like that in a souvenir and seriously it’s’ not like you can go back to Japan to get another one if you don’t get it then. I liked the previous Starbucks cups than the new ones, I bought so many for my son that I had to stop! But like you, I don’t need anymore travel cups, but they are useable so that’s a plus. I have the Japan twilly from the Christmas collection and love it. Your mom is so sweet to buy you a little souvenir from LV. My mom is the same way, if you do for one, you have to do for the others…. Enjoy all your purchases, it looks like it was a great trip!

I stocked up on similar things to you too! I've used the Lycee eyedrops for years, and it's so cooling and actually keeps your eyes hydrated. I can say the Naturie toner is so good too! I've also been loving the Biore tone up UV sunscreen and it's so amazing that it serves as a light tinted moisturizer that makes your skin look blurred and glowy!

On the topic of acne: if your hair is really oily, pulling it away from your face can help a breakout clear up faster. Excess oils always make me break out

I was hooked on Curel ever since I got them from Japan in 2017. I keep going back to them, and I order them from Amazon Japan. The only thing I don't like from them is the SPF50 sunscreen.

Don Qui is avail in HK and Macau too. Albeit not as big and expansive selection it seems like but, still so much to see and buy! I loved it in there. LOL

You mentioned that your skin has been crazy lately. Not sure what your skin issues are, but if you have cystic acne, what worked for me was reducing/avoiding sugar, dairy and sun exposure. I also noticed that if I introduced a few new skincare products to my routine, I'd get breakouts as well, so maybe introduce one new skincare product at a time?
It’s mainly because of my diet and hormones! Normally it isn’t that bad but I forgot my acne medication over seas 😩

@Connie I have their "Gelato" and "baby moco" fabric. Gelato is my favorite and thicker than both PJs @maggyxchuu showed. Gelato is fluffier, but the moco is very soft and smoother in comparison. What swayed my decision was the overall design. I got an Eames Gelato cardigan, and my brother got me a Mario Star baby moco pillow. In my opinion: the thicker the fabric, the better
I use Curel and it's a big seller in the US. Also it's kind of pricey depending on where you buy it.

If you stop using skincare products that have fragrance in it, I guarantee you that your skin breakout will greatly reduced!
Also your acne seems to be because of hormonal imbalance!
It’s 100% hormonal and diet!! I forgot my acne medication while in Japan that’s why it got so out of hand 😩
Maggie! Coming from someone who suffered from acne for 20+ years and a pharmacist, you should consider Accutane! I used to be on it and it worked like magic. I still have crater-like scars on my cheeks but I know it would have been worse if I never took Accutane.

My mom actually grew up in Yokohama! So her first language is Japanese so I understand a good amount. My reading and speaking need some work but I can at least get by :) and YES I use towels all the time either after my skin care or at the gym! I feel like I get way more use out of towels than I do having like 20+ keychains souvenirs just sitting in my drawer 😅
