Not me with another J-Beauty long comment... Sorry Unnie. The お米のマスク brand one is a top-rated band in Japan indeed. It's made with Japanese rice grains, and that's a thing they are really proud of. 10:17 It says クレンシング売上個数No1, so it's basically the best-selling cleanser. Cleanser + massage cold cleansing cream, primarily for blackheads, but it says to leave your skin mochi mochi (like plump) 11:34 Yes, that cream has oils in it, and it's marketed toward more mature skin. It has organic oils, squalane, double acid hyaluronic, collagen, and some other ingredients that, even for me, are difficult to understand in Japanese. It's marketed as a 5-in-1 kind of product. Toner, milky lotion, cream, mask, serum," and even says it's OK to use after washing your face. Wouldn't say it is a cold cream product. Brand AQUALABEL from Shiseido.
With these sorts of videos I most appreciate when the camera doesn't wildly zoom around, when there are no rapid jump cuts so I can actually see what's on the shelves you're looking at and importantly HOW MUCH THINGS COST. Your channel is great fun and you've introduced me to so many really good products. The latest one was the ma:nyo cleansing oil which I bought after seeing it in one of your videos.
Yes, that Bioré milk!!! It's an iconic J-beauty product! It gets reformulated very regularly. This a thing that I love about J-beauty, they reformulate their lines almost every year✨✨
Kose Softymo is virtually like the Japanese version of Happy Bath! It is so cheap but has really nice scents which you often associate with family use. Aqualabel is owned by Shiseido, the biggest corporation for cosmetics in Japan, and creates all-in-one gel moisturizers. The red jar is for moisture and dry skin, the blue one for whitening due to tranexamic acid, while the gold one is for wrinkle care. I got one for my Korean hyeong in Cheonan last Christmas (the gold jar).
This was basically what I saw every day when working in Japan back in Nagoya. Their budget skincare products are actually cheaper than Korean ones, although the quality isn't always necessarily as good.
The sheet mask you bought, Eunni Unni, is a rice mask which claims to contract or shrink pores for more acne-prone skin while moisturizing. It has ethanol alcohol in the first few ingredients, so you are likely to experience the cooling sensation of alcohol which gives you the impression of pores shrinking even if not so.
Aqualabel is good! 😍 when i first came to Japan i was looking for Hadalabo lotion and then the staff recommended me aqualabel instead. I used it everyday and my skin look clean and bright. Have been using it for years.. the facial wash is also nice, my skin feels smooth after washing 😊
Going to Japan soon so I'm watching and getting excited for skincare shopping! So funny when you looked at the word "Eunni" and you're like "I don't know how to pronounce that word" maybe you were looking at a word above it, or maybe you just made a good joke lol!
Unni will you make a video showing the things you ended up buying in Osaka? I'm going to Tokyo in March and neeeeed to know what you recommend getting after testing!
I love this video. I live in Japan but usually I go all over looking for Korean products I can get. I’m really interested to see what Japanese products you recommend.
5:52 the quality first line is still selling out like hot cakes! They recently came out with a vitamin C serum and a cream and a lot of Japanese beauty UA-camrs have been raving about it. I’m on the fence as to whether to buy the serum as there’s 2 Japanese UA-camrs that I watch that do experiments to show which vitamin c products actually have vitamin c and which don’t (using iodine I believe?) So I’m waiting for them to put out that video if they haven’t already 😅
Thank you for doing this. I live in Japan and would love to try more Korean products. This is informational for me. I’m glad I can find k products at donki
I wouldn’t head to Japan to buy Korean products 😅.. I usually just stock my basket with made in Japan beauty items when I’m in Osaka and would have loved it if the video had more information on the newer Japanese beauty products
noted tysm🤍as a skincare geek just loved seeing so many products in Japan🤍 will try to test out more new products & share reviews for em too since i bought a bunch of productsss on the trip🤍
@@EuniUnni I loved seeing the korean stuff too, honestly. I'm going to japan in a couple of months and I'm watching these videos to get tips on what to buy :D
Omg Unni!!! Im so glad you shower Honeycé!! I never see anyone talk about that brand. Their hair is mask amazing!! I used to use it when I studied abroad in Tokyo and then the other two times I went to Japan I stocked up. Then I ran out and had to search high and low on the Internet to find it. I found it and bought 3 and am in my last bottle 😅I gotta get back to Japan to get some more. It works really well on my curly, coily hair.
Oh yes, and DHC and Anessa and Allie sunscreens are really a dime a dozen over in Japan. Their sunscreens apply like water and do not leave any cast whatsoever. You would wonder why Japanese have such pale flawless skin without freckles, so that's the secret.
I'm planning on taking a trip to both south Korea and Japan. How do the prices compare? Is korean skincare brands cheaper in Korea than in Japan? I'm asking because I see that most things are more expensive in South Korea overall. Found one of your videos a while ago and subscribed immediately, love your skincare videos!
