I read somewhere that James Cameron invited James Horner to his house to decide on the music for the film Titanic. Horner himself played this song on the piano in Cameron’s living room. After her was done and without hearing anything else Cameron told him he got the job. Unfortunately the composer James Horner is no longer with us, small aircraft crash.

I've hear this version so many times, but this one really gets me emotional. The way their voices pair so well together, how the kids in the background adding to the beauty, the musicians, and lastly; the bell ringing just gets me every time. I don't know what it is about him banging on the bell, but it just makes me cry every time. It's like the perfect addition to make it hauntingly beautiful in a way. Probably making me think of all those souls who froze that night.
