As a percussionist in a school orchestra I can appreciate just how damn good everyone here is. Synchronised bowing, on point snare drum that you can hear over EVERYTHING and it's still perfect. Everything seems spotless, and I hope we can get those extra 349,463 views. I can't wait to see how much that number will change by the time I come back :)

The most beautiful movie I have seen in my entire life is Pirates of the Caribbean. From Characters to Music or their actions in the films. Each part has different musics but except the main theme(just awesome). You guys played very well hopefully we recieve notification of Pirates of the Caribbean 6... I once saw a band organiser in the train managing such a concert. He ordered pizza to a backdoor of the concert hall for a time window of two minutes. And he made clear that it needs to be to the minute for them not to leave a guy standing outside with 30 pizzas.
They had an 8 hour drive to go for a concert in 9 hours, so the only way was to have the pizza guy standing there at that minute handing out pizzas as they board a bus...

This is a very impressive orchestra, espcially for their age. And even more impressive, because I can't see any monitoring, whether in-ear or on stage speakers.
Players like triangle, drums, timpani etc. are very important to an orchestra. Especially timing wise, as these instruments are usually played by a single musician, not a section (like violins etc.).
So if a triangle player messes up, it will be noticable. If a single violin player messes up, you probably won't notice it, because the other players are still playing correctly.
The sections of violins, violas, basses etc. are not only played by multiple musicians to make it sound bigger, but to make it sound even.
I saw this comment earlier and decided to come back

If I'm not wrong the instrument belongs to the percussion sector, which, believe me, can ruin the whole song if anyone plays the wrong note or faster/slower by as scanty as 0.25s. I play in an orchestra as well and something simple like hitting the harp actually requires complicated techniques. They may even ask you to rub the stick against the harp for resonance effect or oscillate the thing. Btw it's extremely tense once someone screws up..

Super well performed. In High School, while taking AP Music Theory, I spent months arranging a few songs from the movie in an anthem like this, as I found the energy and rhythms unbelievably fun.
My band director wouldn't allow it to be played because he was a clarinet player and wouldn't allow anything not "winds forward." It felt really great, both as a trumpet player and after months of work (and no mentorship from him). I fell out of love with music because of that teacher, after 15 years of playing, and didn't continue in college.
I've literally never had another teacher push me out of one of my loves - but the band hall at the high school is getting dedicated to him next week, ironically enough. It makes me happy to see young kids getting to play these pieces and to do so well, and I envy their experience in many ways.
