This was only mentioned in passing by the judge during sentencing. All these family and friends completely defend Todd. It's super weird to me that they all claim they had this perfect marriage and never argued and everything just seemed like a fairytale when we all know that can't be true. All couples fight and argue. And their kids and spouses and Friends acting as if there's no possible way he could have murdered her is just not right. There is something very strange about these people.

    My theory is that some of them do believe or realize his story doesn't make sense and do question things internally or even know he is guilty. However, those who fear or believe he is guilty probably say to themselves, "Even if something did go terribly wrong and he did something he shouldn't what good will it do to send Todd to jail? It will just rip up the family more and won't help anything. It won't bring Barb back." They are obviously a very tight family--almost too tight for health in my opinion--and don't socialize much with people outside their little tribe. So they rationalize that it's better not to know the whole truth.

    • @cleangreen2210

      Bizarre things happen every day. His story is bizarre. But that does not make him a murderer. I'd be open to anyone showing evidence they had trouble or he had motive to murder her. I have not seen it and the prosecutors here certain did not show it.

    • @shanemichaels3083
      @shanemichaels3083 3 роки тому

      To me though that doesn't make sense, that questioning or even knowing he's guilty would stew and eventually break them further apart if he got away scott free, you have to consider the tight family unit has already been severely fractured without Barb

      I have nothing but wonderful things to say about my hubby. 23 years and we take walks together, go everywhere together. I tend to think other couples aren’t as close as me and my husband and I feel sad they haven’t ever really had true love. They seem to think is not normal to want to be with your spouse and prefer their company to any one else’s. That to me is weird. My hubby and I never want to be apart. And it’s exhausting having to hear my friends’ always complain about their men. I truly understand what Barb and Todd had. If this happened to me and they put me in jail thinking I killed my husband, then I wouldn’t really care. I’d rather be in jail than to have to live me life without my baby. If it didn’t kill me first that is.

    My theory: I think she started nagging on the way to her work, complaining about the windshield, and he said "OK you want the windshield gone, let's go look for the truck right now" (knowing perfectly well he had made no arrangements with anyone) then she got even more mad as he drove in that direction, they started getting physical, he punched her with his right fist as he drove, he got off the main road to avoid getting into an accident, she pulled the steering wheel to make him stop, he tried to park but put it in reverse instead, she might have used her legs to kick him while in the car (that's how one shoe came off and how she got bruises on her legs), then eventually escaped the vehicle but he caught up with her and finished the beating outside on the passenger side hidden from view from vehicles coming in the same direction and by the grass. He might have tried to fake an accident hitting the windshield with the Bubba mug, then decided to use the pipe that was in his trunk instead. First blow didn't work but the second one did, he pulled it right away and threw it out... They did accident reconstruction scenarios where they showed the pipe (same weight and length) would fall pretty much straight down, by the time it reaches the passenger side of the upcoming lane it's pretty much ground level

No motive and no opportunity -- he would have had to stage this scene (after one day just snapping and beating his wife for the first time ever while driving) in about 4 minutes. They claim it was a "secret motive that only Kendhammer knows." Strange standard for prosecution in a murder case in WI.
      They also did not show how he got the pipe. They did not show any evidence it came from the trunk.

I think that anybody that calls their relationship “PERFECT,” is either hiding something or in denial. I even believe that they have been described as “perfect” by family and/or friends - people (and families) tend to avoid “airing their dirty laundry.” Especially abusive ones.

My husband and I are the same. we may spat, but are over it within an hour or two. we don't yell, fight or play stupid games. although with this particular situation I feel the constant being together could possibly be him controlling. the example of him leaving deercamp to go home to "be with her" may be him keeping tabs on her. Ive known men who cannot stand for their woman to ever do anything without them, to be away from them, she can never be alone without him. idk for sure if thats the situation here but could possibly be. its hard ti think they really had this great relationship and then he snapped out of nowhere. He is very very believable with his emotions. I feel like hes a master manipulator and had everyone fooled. bc he did love her, but he loved her ti the point of it being sick. and he knew how to hide it from everyone. idk. I wanted to believe he was innocent but I really started listening to him, the things he said, and the evidence and something doesnt add up

      Cool... Just explain a few things... How the pipe magically flew twice (there was a practice hit too on the windshield) even though laws of physics prove it was impossible. And how said pipe had rust on it that was also found in his trunk and the pipe had NO blood, tissue, DNA etc. of Barbara on it. Or that zero injuries match anything from the pipe per the M.E. Or that ALL of her injuries were from being punched and strangled. And why Todd has bloody knuckles which is what folks get after being in a fight and scratches on him which were defensive wounds from Barbara. Or why this day out of all others she was not taken to work and did not call in when she was so punctual her boss called her at 8:02 because he knew something was wrong. Or why Todd lies about almost everything to police and never did answer why he didn't take her to work or why they would aimlessly drive looking for a truck that might need a windshield a month ago.
