I spent yesterday in the hospital while my husband was having diagnostic stuff. Today we are waiting for results so I'm going to play in the mud. Sculpting is my therapy. Hoping both our lives return to normal soon.
Wow what a week…love love mushrooms…and I concur zero plans fly by seat of your pants or whatever way the wind blows…been my philosophy for years 😂😂😂😂…take care and thank you once again for your time and dedication to all your followers!…and pray your hubby listens and makes a speedy recovery 🇨🇦 BTW when migraines start drink coke or Pepsi when taking pain meds….advice from fellow migraine suffer!
Goodness T! You've had more than your share of medical issues! Sending thoughts for speedy recovery. I love the mushrooms! I will have to try these now. So many things on the to-do list! But these are super cute. I can imagine them peeking out from under some impatiens or in a bed of ferns. Thanks for the tutorial, and stay well, my friend!
OMG! Tell that man he's going to lose his leg if he doesn't start listening to you and his medical advisor! And if that happens, you'll be able to do whatever you want because he won't be able to catch you! 😉
Most men don't read the memo when it says 'common sense' as the title. I hate to shop too, so. These mushrooms are amazing, maybe I will make one for my garden. Thanks for sharing, take care, of you and the chap of yours, till next time
Hi. Love the mushrooms. I'm going to have to challenge myself to start using my wheel. Glad your headaches have stopped. Hope hubby is finally on the mend. Strep infections are no fun. I've just gotten over one.
Welcome to the wonderful world of clay! Keep practicing and know that the fails are more important that the wind. Don't get me wrong the wins are better than any high, but the fails really teach.
Love those mushrooms. Glad the headaches are better. I swear we're sisters of another mother. I hate shopping except fun stuff like crafting, trinket shopping and the like. Put me in a fabric shop and forget about time. Our husbands must be related. I know we married Mr. Right, just didn't know middle name was always. I'm with you. Sorry you're going through all this but so happy you have help. I rely on friends thank God for those. I was supposed to start my pottery classes this week but have to take him😢to Dr. Yuk. So thank you for sharing your life and talent with us so we don't feel alone. Blessings to you and hubby. ( walmart, ugh)😂
Hope your husband gets well soon!!!! I am positive you will have an Awesome show with all your fantastic pieces!!! Let me know when everything settles down and you get to pour those molds and how they turn out for you. Good Luck on your show!!! Sandi
For over a year or 2 i have starred at my wheel afraid that i was going to fail no matter what wanting so bad to make your mushrooms i just kept telling myself no way can i do this and this morning i went for it and I'm so proud and did it first try....i will admit i watched your video like 500 times. So thank you your a great teacher may god bless you each and every day.
Its definitely a man thing!!! My hubby won't listen to me and ended up in Hospital seriously ill just before after Christmas. If I hadnt called the ambulance when I did he'd have been dead by the next day. He says he's learned his lesson but NOPE he's back doing the same ole things!! Grrrrrr. Just love your resilience and you keep on pottering. Pottery is my switch off time!! Hugs to you Tiffanie xxx Be honest I bet you love to shop ... in pottery stores!! LOL
Thanks for all your wonderful videos. I just started making pottery again since I retired. Spent 20 years as a Psychology professor. I’m learning a lot and you’re such an inspiration. -Liana
Thank you sooo much! And I'm very happy for you. I have two students who are psychologists. One is almost retired, working with a few of her long-term patients. The other is 30, and has now completely changed her life. She's opened her own studio and is teaching pottery. I believe pottery is so good for mental health. Thank you again, and welcome back to the wonderful world of pottery.
OMG no wonder you are getting migraines 'Phew' Tiff I'm saying a special prayers ..... 1. hubby gets better quick! 2. He starts listening to you 3. You don't decide to kill him! lol Hang in there girlfriend, you got this! xoxox
Love watching your videos in your trying times ❤ you’re my go-to always 😊 in my trying times. Thank you 😊 (Does that make sense) You’re always so chilled and totally helps me ❤ thx
I'm glad I can help in your trying times. We hold each other up. It helps making pottery and creating the videos. Knowing that it helps others, too, just makes being in the studio even more special. ❤️
Hi Tiffany! Texting from New Brunswick, Canada, I wanted to say thanks for this video! I've only recently discovered your channel and love your work!! It took me 5 tries before I got the hang of the stem but I just pulled 10 of these mushrooms from my kiln! Love, love, love!!!
Another great tutorial! Thanks for sharing and the insight into your busy life!! Hope you hubby (and you are so right about the common sense!) is home and on the mend. Love that you shared your story about marrying young....I, too, was a 'child bride' of 18 and just celebrated our 52nd anniversary on Labour day! Pottery must keep us young! LOL BTW, am making ghosts and Christmas trees via your instruction, trying to get them ready for the market I am involved in on Vancouver Island for Halloween! Thanks again!
Yes! As women, we know! I told my husband not to mow in 108° heat but he did and ended up so sick with heat illness. I don’t know WHY they don’t listen!
Wonderfully tutorial thank you. I’m a hand builder so will take your advice regarding pinch pots etc. So sorry to here your hubby has been poorly again, what a rough time for you both but it sounds like he’s on the mend again, fingers crossed. I hope the heat there subsides for you, it’s been in the 30s in the UK, oh boy so hard working in my little studio. Take care of yourself and hubby. Happy potting xxx
@susanfox4263 Thank you, Susan. We are finally down to the low 90s and high 80s here after a summer of 105s. That's 40 celisus, I think. So hard to handbuild when it's that hot. At least with wheel-throwning, you have the water. Good luck, and I'd love to see what you come up with.
In my family, we used to say "LISTEN TO YOUR MOTHER, LISTEN TO YOUR WIFE, AND IF YOU'RE STILL IN DOUBT OR IF THEY'RE NOT THERE, ASK YOUR SISTER AND LISTEN TO HER!"😂 Courage to everyone.
I have a husband just like yours. We spent our 31st anniversary week in the hospital because of an infection in his arm he got while riding side by sides in the WV mountains, and and got another infection in his foot because of a scrape he got while swimming in the springs here in Florida a monthy ago and it is still swelling a little every day. He just won't listen. I'm a half a second from going to prison because of a little bullet he will get if he doesn't LISTEN! The only thing that keeps me from taking action is that I've worked as a correctional officer for 16 years and I don't like the food they eat or the beds they sleep on. So I will say a prayer for your husband along with those that I say for mine. Stay strong.
Why is it that men just won't listen?! I feel that battle you are going through with your hubby. I use to go through the same thing with mine. Hugs and hang in there!
lol What men got... The ability to pee standing up 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Btw Im sorry hubby is back in the wars, just when you thought it was clear sailing again. A shame, at least you have your pottery sale to look forwards too. I hope that all goes well for you.
I understand enough to know your comment is positive, lol. Sure wish my 3 years of French stayed with me, but alas, I didn't use it so I lost it. Merci beaucoup.

Oh man, I'm sorry you're in this boat with me. At least we have clay to keep us centered.
Yay for no headache.
Super cute!!! Man girl you guys have been thru the wringer...bless your 💕 hearts!! Prayers still, for the Hubs, get well Mr.!!!
Thank you, and yes, I need to put that man in a bubble!

Oh, that's wonderful! Sometimes our biggest obstacle is ourselves.
I SO get you about the Universe having its own plan to upset the plan I have! I feel like I'm in a washing machine. Just being tossed around.
That's the best analogy I've heard. Describes it perfectly.
I love these. Can’t wait to try them out. Little late watching this. I hope your husband is doing well!

It's the most frustrating thing! We make life run smoother if they'd only listen. 😀
Absolutely beautiful can they be hand build? I really enjoy you classes
I think they'd look awesome and more funky handbuilt. I'd do a pinch pot for the mushroom cap and a thick coil for the stem. And maybe not as big.
