Want To Make A Snowman?
I woke to a beautiful snowstorm, and while I hadn't planned to make a snowman, it was the perfect day to do so. These "cool" snowman luminaries or lamps make an elegant addition to your holiday decor and help light up the dark winter months ahead.
Using @michaelharbridge6817 techniques and molds makes creating these decorative luminaries fun and easy. I believe any potter, regardless of skill level, can build these snowmen.
In the spirit of Scandinavian Novent, I enjoy the tradition of bringing light and nature into my home during the long winter months. These snowmen will make great gifts and sales for the upcoming holiday shows. I'll report back on how they faired.

As always, thank you so much for hanging out with me during this handbuilding tutorial. I hope you found value in the video. If you did, please like, share, and subscribe if you haven't already. These small things really help the channel grow so that we can reach more potters and inspire the world one muddy pot at a time.

So cute! Great use of tools!
I'm so sorry for your loss 🙏❤️🙏
Those are adorable!
Love your videos 😊 Question about Holly Green .. can I ask you how many coats you use to not cover texture?? I have never used it and I have a tray with knit that I don't want to loose 🫤
Stunning and send the snow to me in Niagara Falls Canada
Thank you - the snowmen are so cute!! Where can you buy the wooden tool ( cone with handle - spout maker) like the one you have?
💜💜💜💜💜
I’m a hobby potter and don’t sell things so I really appreciate it when you say what we can use other than buying a mold. Thank you! Your snowman is so darn cute!!! I agree with what you said about pricing. People shouldn’t undervalue their time.
OMG TIFFANY YOUR VIEW LOOKS ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!!❤❤ We don’t celebrate Christmas so I love snowmen and winter things. I used a really big label I found at the thrift store to make these little ball molds. I love all the little tips and tricks you share. Can’t wait to make some of these! Thank you so much Tiffany!! The really large balls would look great on their own with a tea light inside. Maybe 3 sizes sitting on the mantel next to eachother.
These guys/gals are adorable!!!! Thank you!😍
This is great. I liked a lot of the items.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!
Ils sont magnifiques vos bonhomme de neige très mignons passe une bonne soirée gros bisous de France j'aime beaucoup notre pays avec la neige ❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊
I got an idea from you showing how you connect both mold pieces with the velcro. I am DIY a mold for mugs out of PVC pipe and want each mug to be the same size. The velcro can designate the top of the mug and make trimming on the pipe easier. Thanks.
Thank you so much for this video!
Dang cute. I’ll need to buy one.
Love a fairy light any time of year. Do you make matching snowflake plates for the candle?
@@rufferstuff9148 That's a great idea!
what size balls did you order

😂Dirty Grama 😅
So cute! I wanna try these using bowls. I think I'll make my hats burgandy and/or green. Maybe a scarf or hatband with a sprig of holly. (the time and price are going up, up, Up!). Many of our fall and winter shows were canceled because of all the Helene damages. We have two shows coming up, though. I'm worried about pricing, too... between economic unease and the post storm issues many of us are still experiencing. We'll just do our best❤
Best way to start my Saturday mornings. Do you ship to IL? I ❤ these. You really are looking good, happy and healthy again😊
So adorable! I haven't seen snow in over 10 years lol.
Its a lovely but an aquired taste for sure. You live in a tropical paradise, right? Your snowmen will need umbrellas and sunscreen!
@lyndagaylebanner6462 yes, I live in the Caribbean, people wood freak out if it would snow here. 😅
@@nukuaceramicsbonaire Make sandmen!
@hobblecreekpottery haha, that's a good idea! 😘
Very cute 😊
Thank you for this tutorial Tiffany. Beautiful snowman build from snowflakes 👍 wow, an eye-catcher. Can't wait to see him glazed. Also, beaut view if your countryside. It snowed a little in the Netherlands, but strange enough tomorrow 16⁰C again. Hope we get snow with christmas. Anyway..... its beginning to look like christmas, specially with your cute chrissie potterie ❤ Bye 👋 Sheila ♡
Oooo I’m so jealous!! I absolutely love snow but haven’t seen any in 2 years, love snowmen thank you 😃
Very Cute. I'd definitely pop one on my mantel or near my tree.
They are so cute!, thanks!❤❤❤
You are up late this evening
Hi from Queensland Australia thank you. They are sooo cute
I’d love to order 2 pinecone ornaments if any available
Your gnomes are just gorgeous
Oh my gosh the donut is soooo cool!
Those flowers would look great on my wall with 🍁
Those angels are so adorable the pink is beautiful
The rose ornaments are wonderful! Love them
Great kiln opening. Grand babies are the best!
Wanderful

Thanks for sharing ❤🇨🇦
Hi. What a great kiln opening. So many lovely things. I especially loved the Merry Christmas plate and the Elf plates. I seemed to like the things you weren't keen on 😅.
Wow what an amazing kiln unload - so many pretties 🤩 I have been binge watching ceramics by Jas too, and I just love Audrey - I need to try the angels and I want to try her salt pigs too 🥰 you and your students are so inspiring to me (I also binge watch your channel hehe) xx
@@laneyscraftingcreations431 Awesome!
This was a fabulous kiln opening!!! I have a question on the tree on the top shelf. I don’t see a seam so how did you get the impressions in the clay? It’s so much fun to see how excited you get over your students’ work. My late husband’s birthday was November 24 so i think it’s a wonderful day to be born!
@marycarolyn1293 Ahh, it will be a wonderful day to be born. I rolled the texture over the seam to hid it.
@ Thsnks! I’ve wondered how you did that for a while.
ok wow on all of your pieces, just wow I also wanted to mention that you and "handmade by suza" both gave me the inspiration to make those little "ovens" LOVE THAT! thank you T and hope you welcome that new grandbaby SOON! God Bless ;-)
Beautiful work Tiffany!❤️🤩
Great firing 💕
What are your grandkids favourite colour? The penguins are tooooo cute 🥰
LOL, I got way excited with this unloading 🎉🎉🎉 fantastic ❤
This is lovely. Could you tell me what the name of the big cone you made it on is, please? Also, if possible, could you put the full video so that we can watch the full process? Thank you for sharing your talent 🙏
Hi Tiffany ! I am a beginner at pottery and just wanted to let you know you are such a big inspiration! I am so glad that I found your channel! Love love love all your videos. Thank you so much for sharing 😊
You came to right potter 👍 - she is fabulous and talks very patiently when explaining all 💕
@@linden211 Ahhh, thank you!
Fabulous . Good luck with the new grandbaby. My daughter has 3 weeks to go.
Tiffany, I am in the process of moving my craft room from the spare room to my living room. We never use the living room anyway. I live in Southern CA. Even in the winter we sit outside! lol! Anyway, you have me so excited to get it done now. I want to play so bad! Thanks for the inspiration! You and Mikki! I tell ya!
Obviously, I’m a fairly new potter with all these glaze questions! 😂 When you re glaze something, do you just glaze right over the previous glaze? If I’m firing in cone 5 should I retire at Cone 6? Does it matter? Should I have opened my own studio having no idea what I’m doing 😂😂😂 But I’m having fun in my retirement!!!
I’m a turtle! I forgot!!
