I met her in person in January 2020 Elvis Birthday. Beautiful woman! I enjoyed this interview very much!. Very respectful toward Elvis. Thank you for sharing her story.
Me too, because it's more insight to how he treated the ladies. A real gentleman, but a player too! (Lol) I can't believe he was with Linda and had Diana in the same proximity! Lord have mercy! Elvis certainly wasn't meant to be with one woman!
Truthfully it is sad that Elvis always needed a woman with him and he treated them all like gold in many ways but unfortunately not one of them could count on him for any long-term loyalty. And he unfortunately assumed that many of these women didn't have career goals of their own. At the same time it's heartwarming to hear from many of them that he was as well very respectful and kind in many ways. What's tragic is that many of these women struggled to heal emotionally after being with him. Truthfully I feel that Elvis just never healed from the passing of his own mother. He always needed female companionship not only at a cost to himself but the many women who loved him as well. Life's lessons I guess 💜💌
I think Elvis had a knack for finding (or being funneled) genuine sweethearts for the most part. You can imagine how wary he and his entourage would have to be to weed out star-struck stalker and gold digger types.
Definitely fortunate to have that experience with Elvis but it seems the many women he invited into his life had a sincerely difficult time letting go of their experience with him. Elvis was a rare gem and yet he was able to recognize a woman who as well was a rare gem.

I met Diana in Fayetteville, Ga. in 1989 as I was doing a Tribute to Elvis and she appeared on the same billing with me. She was very nice and gave me a moment i will never forget. She met me back stage and told me that I was the best and closest tribute artist to Elvis she had ever seen and that it was "spooky" how much alike i was to him. Thanks Diana!
I also think Priscilla Presley is a genius. When Elvis died he didn’t have much money. He would constantly give money to friends and family and his manager took a 50% cut from everything Elvis earned. Priscilla stepped in and turned Graceland into a tourist destination. She was not married to Elvis anymore but had their young daughter to raise. I think she is absolutely amazing.
@@Wildlife_SA. all this information is up on graceland's website. Lisa Marie Presley owns 100% of Graceland, the 13 acre grounds and all of Elvis's possessions (meaning his clothes, awards, his Vehicles etc). It all belongs to her.. basically everything that has sentimental value is what she kept. What she did sell in 2005 was 85% of Elvis Presley Enterprises and the CEO is Jack Soden who is a long time friend, a bank investor who helped Priscilla keep Graceland open when Elvis first died. The business became too big for them, they needed help managing Elvis events and other issues pertaining to the estate that Priscilla nor Lisa could manage 100% without help. To me it always made sense. Are you going to keep dealing with issues in "your house" on your own or at some point are you going to call in professionals to help you with the upkeep? It was a smart business move.

I don't mess around being unfaithful, and living without any commitment whatsoever. These ladies were lucky? They were simply what they were: whores. Simply doing what the (fallen) 'king' ordered them to do. He was pure into it for lust. And no, it was not specifically a response to your response.
@14:40 I too had my daughter at 17 and I too know what it's like to sacrifice being a wife and mother......I've told my now 18 year old daughter to enjoy life before settling down with children and a husband.....she just left me a month ago to follow her dreams out east. I'm living through her stories and I miss her every day, but I'm so proud of her.
I can tell she really didn't want to have to let him go. I don't blame her. But looking back decades later she doesn't seem to see the relationship was over before it ever started and it's sad. I wish her well.
Elvis was a total Pig towards women. He demanded total loyalty from them, had to adapt to his lifestyle and cheated non-stop behind their backs. He did it with Diana too. The whole time that she was Elvis's "girlfriend", he also had Linda Thompson and probably several others, that is why she did not talk to him much. But the minute they talk to another guy, he gets furious and dumps them. What a jerk!!!
@@JMelissaMc Elvis loved women and you're correct: he always had plenty of backups. He gave them everything material they could ever need or want. He was totally generous and spent millions in his lifetime on people he cared for. He never quite figured out monogamy. Though with Linda he was monogamous their first year together. Because they were together 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and the entire 365 days. Elvis was Elvis and there's never been anyone like him, before, during, or since, so it's easy to say he was a pig, he was this, he was that, when we have no one to compare with him, who was like him (as famous, as sought after, etc.) I mean, who could have been a better partner than him, that was like him... no one, because no one like him existed. Diana was pretty young and naturally she fell hard for him. She said she stayed single for a number of years before going out with the man who became her husband, just because Elvis was a tough act to follow. And I understand her.
I loved books about elvis im interested to his life and history specially destined to die young. Elvis will be missed by millions of his fans he will never ever forgotten. He lives through his music and videos i love you elvis you are at peace with the Lord God now.
Did she really not realize why he picked her ? Lol … I mean .. Jeez … there was a reason it didn’t go any further. Bless her heart lol. I also don’t buy her story that the taxi just dropped her at the gates for no reason .. she definitely wanted to there - to me that part of the story seems off . Just my opinion. I think EP saw her as trying to get up in show business off of him .. when he saw her with Burt Reynolds’s it reinforced his beliefs . He really wanted a woman to be his momma .. his one and only even though he knew he couldn’t be there for them in a traditional sense . He just needed a momma to trust and rely on - Cilla was the closest match to his momma that he ever had and he knew that .So after her I feel he continued to try and find another Cilla .. which , the 70’s didn’t have those types of women anymore - the woman “roll” changed . and the little lady at home cooking cleaning barefoot and pregnant era was over .. in EP eyes he was always looking for that roll again and he enjoyed going through all the auditions for that roll lol .. I don’t really blame him for that . It’s how all the mens men were back then .. Eventually Thankk God !men have changed who they want women to be to them but every man would love to be spoiled and treated like a KING , and every woman would love to be spoiled and treated like They are the queen...Elvis lived a life that I don’t think any one of us could even imagine .. he lived 3 lifetimes in his short 42 years , and even though I love him and wish he could have lived a long healthy life .. it just couldn’t end like that for such a HUGE Larger than life man like him . The lifestyle, the demands of him and the responsibility he had for others lives were sooo big it wasn’t sustainable for anyone ! he personified the sex, drugs and rock and roll lifestyle . It had to end prematurely, the only thing I wish would have changed in the end was him being totally alone when he died .. I wish he could have been at least next to someone .. that’s what he craved .. intimacy , closeness - sharing his life and everything he had - the way he went out was just not what he deserved .. I know his lifestyle contributed to it - but if he could have just passed away in his sleep next to someone or something I think it would make it easier to handle for me personally. It just makes me think ho The manner of his death always bothered me and made me wonder how alone he really was. The rooms could be filled with people but I wonder if he felt alone? he didn’t like to be alone . He loved life all around him . The experience of life , the sound of life .. just to end up alone on a floor hurts my heart still to this day for him ! For Lisa Marie .. it just hurts as if he were my family member. And I feel his death was just such a damn travesty because he was so full of life and larger than life always - but to all of his fans ,, he will continue to live on through us . I’m 51 and my love for him I share with my kids and they love him and they will share him with their kids .. so because of that ELVIS LIVES ! He may have left the building , and this earth - but will always remain in our hearts and souls forever for generations to come ! Rest In Peace EP. 🌹⚡️
Ginger Alden was with him. In his bed the day he died, she fell asleep while he went to bathroom. He gave her a beautiful engagement ring. His ex wife Priscilla was notified when she found him.
Elvis was a smooth operates! Lol She didn't know he kept an assortment of jewelry and his jeweler with him in later years. But he did want everyone of the ladies to feel special and I admire that part!

She lived 4 houses up the street from me while growing up. She was 2 years older, but we were both cheerleaders in GA together. She was gorgeous!!!!!! And so sweet! I saw Elvis twice but never dated him. She was also Miss GA. She doesn't mention high school cheerleader, but she was.
He was seeing Linda too he'd get rid of one to see the other, Linda says always he only seen her when she dated him, right lol! Oh ya he was seeing Sheila too!
Elvis tested ppl with is buffers of circles, he had layers of ppl and they had to pass through each inner circle closer to Elvis before he actually made time with you
When you have money it don't matter about preparing things, you just go, and get new things wherever you go. I had the luxury of having rich friends and doing these things in my early life
I never heard of this girlfriend! I am very aware of Priscilla, and Linda Thompson….they were the two most important! I am sure there are many different girls who want to come out of the woodwork! Who ever knew this one existed! One of many!
If You Read up on Elvis-- Every single girlfriend he had were expected to give up their lives, definitely couldn't work and were expected to be on his beck and call and stay at Graceland- His last Girlfriend that worked was Anita Wood from 1957 to 1962- that was it...
@@Moody3863 Yup...Elvis wanted or expected Every girl to be like Gladys or with the same devotion as his mother. He tried toI keep them w jewelry, clothes & cars.
Elvis was so demanding. I can’t believe he had Diana Goodman on standby waiting for his phone call and then when he saw her take a picture with Burt Reynolds he got upset and said that’s it we’re not dating anymore. I can’t even imagine how he was with Priscilla. He must’ve been so strict with her, like a father. 🙄
@@OctPSfever Diane was a total opportunist. She was only trying to get ahead..as soon as she charmed Burt Reynolds at the studio gates to be in hid movie, she was outta there (w Elvis). I wouldn't consider her a "Real Girlfriend"- but she was the only one who didn't take care of him or really make sure he was okay- she didn't really love him- she just wanted whatever it could do for her-- the other women- though they finally had to leave him-- did DEEPLY Care or love Elvis
Wow! How kind of Elvis Presley to be so kind to Diana Goodman to do all of things wonderful things that he had done for her! What a sweet Elvis! As genuine and as lady like as Diana is. I can see why Elvis wanted to hook up with Diana and to meet Diana. How awesome! What a jewel of experience of fun memories that Diana can ever have about Elvis. Elvis was such a wonderful soul and so is Diana. God has given Diana favor with Elvis Presley and God has given Diana favor to meet Elvis Presley. How great how God does miracles in one's life! Thank you Lord for helping Diana's dreams come true even to meet Elvis Presley and for Elvis to do such kind things for Diana.
I’m going to venture to assume that his guys knew if they saw any beautiful women lingering around the gates of Graceland and the King was home, to invite her in and/or to the movies because it seems to be the same story for literally all of them except Pricilla. 🤪
I like her, she seems like a sweet person. And I fully understand her excitement, Elvis was a major star and it must have all been surreal. But I also find it a little cringe. Regardless who you encounter, however famous or rich, you have to keep hold of your pride and dignity! Elvis ghosted her in the end, didn't even bother to explain or say goodbye, unfortunately she was just one of many! He did her a favour!
She wasn’t going to sit and wait till he decided to see her again. Otherwise if he had said come be with me at certain time. Your a young woman with a career and you can’t wait to see when he will call again. Think of how long it took him to call her after their first meeting. She had to support herself. I don’t think he should have just sent her away and didn’t say I’ll call you in a few days and have you come to this place. I’ll sevd the plane for you. Ginger was the next available to wait in him. I think she did what she had to do to support herself. All of us can’t sit and wait for the phone call!
@@gracieg7601 yes she did have to support herself but that's not the thing. What it is is that she hung on, long after most people would've realized there was no longer a thing between them.
@@lisamariepagliei3945 So true. Elvis did make whoever he was with believe they were very special to them and they would have believed he would be with them "If only". He could have very well meant it at the time, but being "Elvis" this was never going to eventuate. That was the sadness for all the girls he left waiting and wondering. Diane was yet another of those. I would enjoy reading her book however, as the sample pages I've read make me think seem it's worth reading. Cheers.
Linda Thompson was very close to him for around 4 years n lived with him. The body guards said Elvis had 2 to 3 girls at one time. The guys said he was very close to Linda. He was reading a lot from the Bible to everyone. Elvis was a very lonely man n needed someone to talk to. He was very close to Charlie Hodge n cousin Billy Smith often sat on Elvis bed at night to talk about God n after life. I met Charlie before he died n told me many things about Elvis n the many women he was involved with. He did not like his picture unless he wanted it taken.Ginger said Elvis was making plans for their wedding well all the bodyguards said Elvis was never going to marry her or anyone else.
I understand you Diana, being with Elvis is indescrible, awesome and different at the same time. If I could have just done it over and know what I now know. He just isn't a one woman man at all. I hope you are doing well my dear.
To think Elvis' crew were out scouting for the next girlfriend, down to cab drivers!?! Interesting what happened after Linda walked away. Was Diana the girl in the plane that Linda mentioned. Hmmm. Next up Ginger? Glad Diana had a nice family life and shared her time with Elvis.
She’s my favorite of ALL the girlfriends. She’s not an over dramatic or theatrical about things that happened !! He was crazy to let this one go for ginger!
I think Elvis was manipulated by his entourage into letting Diana go, because they all loved Linda. and it seems like they were trying to do the same thing to him with Ginger because they wanted him back with Linda and not Ginger. Poor Elvis he was surrounded by snakes.
Sorry but it was all about money for Precilla. Even in the beginning it was about the limelight and money for her and her parents. Why else would you let your teenage daughter go to another country to be with a man. Diana is a nice lady. Very soft spoken. Thank you Diana for sharing your story about you and Elvis.
Narcissists don't like that kind of person. If you set boundaries they will dump you. They test you to see how far they can make you go. If you don't do what they want, they don't want you.
@@lorimiller4301 .... indeed. Had 35 years of erstwhile emotional exploitation. I cringe when ppl think I was "close" to that person. God draws straight lines with crooked sticks. But that crooked stick leaves you feeling dirty. It finally ended when I sat back and watched their words not match their actions-- I quit carrying the load.
I can relate. Going through it now. Men just look for a beautiful woman to be at their neck and call, then get pissy when you can't step and fetch for them. Elvis was a typical demanding ass.
I would have been very uncomfortable the way he had others contact her and not himself...bit disrespectful to me. Then to find out he did some of this right in Linda's face! It sounds as though he wanted her to be available when he wanted to spend time...with someone? Not cool.
She didn’t have a modeling job in Memphis. She knew very well Elvis lived there - Graceland!!! She asked the taxi to drive her to Graceland/she dressed up for Elvis hoping to meet him. Once she got to the gate she asked the guy in the other side of the gate, take a look at me, don’t you think Elvis would like to meet me???/ that’s how this went down.

Elvis seemed to make every person near him feel special.... some took it literally and became codependent and obsessed with him. Sad. He was having fun living the dream in his own bubble and they wanted to be in it. He seemed slightly narcissistic and a chauvinist when it came to women.... the more that's revealed about Presilla and his relationship, the more toxic it seemed to really be.
I think he was the toxic factor in every so-called relationship. I honestly believe he led them on until they fell in love with him. I mean 95% of women worldwide love the man. He's been in my life, as a fan since 1956. I really feel for these women.
they were all fans if Elvis Presley but these women saw in him what they wished to see. Elvis adored Priscilla and their daughter Lisa Marie. Elvis had many girl friends he left one for the other to move on his heart was taken...Pricilla was the only one who broke his heart...hurt him in his song he said it. i believe had he lived re married...Ginger he would have been still loving Priscilla. it was stupid . Georgia you were unwise you didn't have to hug Burt Reignolds..Elvis would see it.
The sad thing is Elvis was not into making a lot of money he just did what he wanted to do but he always had the money to do or have what he wanted and buy and give things to people he liked
Funny how she (& other women) thought they were “special” and that Elvis himself did the planning and arrangements. His team scouted for beautiful women and made all the arrangements. He liked beautiful women and enjoyed one after another.
If you look on the Internet there are less than a dozen pictures of them together, it lends to the credibility of how in-depth the relationship really was.

Do you have any videos of your tribute performances?

Wonderful Share! Glad i found this & now want her book!
I think she is absolutely amazing.
there's actually a man responsible for turning Graceland into a museum not Priscilla.
@@PRETTYGIRLSWAGG918 Who was the man?
Agreed
Priscilla hired a business manager/partner
Thanks Stig! Nice clips with celebrities with rare and introspective insights on Elvis.
Anyone who had the chance to have met Elvis was lucky... Wished I could have met him I would have loved to have a deep meaningful chat with him
Really? He simply was an adulterer.
@@robbertbleacher So what is your talent and party trick. He wasn't a drunk he wasn't a wife beater and there is no such thing as the perfect person that has walked this earth. However respect your opinion, have you replied to others on here with the same comment on here or just me ??
@@lindawatts5102 Party trick? I'm a spirit-filled international leader who is committed to God and his wife (for 28 years already), and his family. I don't mess around being unfaithful, and living without any commitment whatsoever. These ladies were lucky? They were simply what they were: whores.
Congratulations Beth. You sound like a great Mother.
For a woman, between 25 - 30 is the perfect age to start a family I think.
Love this
I can tell she really didn't want to have to let him go. I don't blame her. But looking back decades later she doesn't seem to see the relationship was over before it ever started and it's sad. I wish her well.
Elvis liked to sample lots ladies that's for sure. He gave loyalty to none of them, not even Priscilla.
It wasn't a relationship
It wasn't even a relationship. Just another Elvis's affair.
I loved books about elvis im interested to his life and history specially destined to die young. Elvis will be missed by millions of his fans he will never ever forgotten. He lives through his music and videos i love you elvis you are at peace with the Lord God now.
Thank you Diana 😘❤️
I found myself smiling throughout the interview! I can see why he liked her!!
She lived 4 houses up the street from me and was a high school cheerleader with me. Gorgeous and so sweet!
It just makes me think ho
The manner of his death always bothered me and made me wonder how alone he really was.

I was a high school cheerleader with her. However, I never dated Elvis. (I knew her from age 3.)

What a great interview ....❤
He loved women, especially the pretty one! After all he was the king!
I’m so interested in her story. I’m glad she told it. It’s a great story, romantic, private, he was so thoughtful, kind. But the interviewer interrupts to much with his own opinion of the outcome, instead of just asking the question to see why her answer would be. To be so lucky. ❤️
I love his questions, particularly when he asked her if she had coffee with the Memphis Mafia guy. I actually wanted to know too.
Yes the interruption throws you off track.
She’s Awesome, gorgeous lady, classy
Of all his gals, I like her best, she's really genuine and relatable, she's very real.

The taxi driver was in on it lol
Right? Just dropped her off there and left
If You Read up on Elvis-- Every single girlfriend he had were expected to give up their lives, definitely couldn't work and were expected to be on his beck and call and stay at Graceland- His last Girlfriend that worked was Anita Wood from 1957 to 1962- that was it...
Exactly. And even she gave up big career opportunities for him. That's why nothing ever lasted. Can't demand loyalty when you're incapable of it.

Well yeah, that's why she left him...I Love Elvis but he had insecurities and controlling ways at times.

Only the ones that let him do it. But I believe your right!
Wow! How kind of Elvis Presley to be so kind to Diana Goodman to do all of things wonderful things that he had done for her! What a sweet Elvis! As genuine and as lady like as Diana is. I’m going to venture to assume that his guys knew if they saw any beautiful women lingering around the gates of Graceland and the King was home, to invite her in and/or to the movies because it seems to be the same story for literally all of them except Pricilla. 🤪
Sickening pimps.
I can’t understand a word that dude is saying

So true. Elvis did make whoever he was with believe they were very special to them and they would have believed he would be with them "If only". He could have very well meant it at the time, but being "Elvis" this was never going to eventuate.
That was the sadness for all the girls he left waiting and wondering.

no
She’s my favorite of ALL the girlfriends.

I can relate. Going through it now. Men just look for a beautiful woman to be at their neck and call, then get pissy when you can't step and fetch for them. Elvis was a typical demanding ass.
You should really let people talk and not interrupt once they open about details with Elvis.

"I'm here to pick up Dianer." Brilliant.
Just to let you know Elvis never wrote any songs. He didn't take too many music lessons either. He just had a god-given ability to sing and look good.
She never mentioned here if she ever kissed Elvis or anything else... Why do i need to know this, lol
Cuz, we woman are curious? Ha! Ha! Ha!

Sweet lady.
12 dates I read. One a month for a year.
Elvis did not encourage photos of his ladies.,
Back then people were actually living life rather than taking pictures of it.
