Except for ginger alden & her mother. Gingers mother sued Elvis’ estate after his death but didn’t get very far. She wanted Elvis’ estate to pay the taxes off on the house he bought Gingers mother. Also there was a diamond missing after his death & Elvis’ entourage thought ginger stole it.

I met Linda over the 4 years I knew Elvis. She was the kindest, most beautiful woman I have ever encountered.
This is a model woman in my eyes! For her to have her own journey and struggles and to still speak so kind and lovingly shows what a beautiful soul she is!

Love this interview with Linda Thompson. Loved her book, called A Little Thing Called Life. Wonderful book to read. Linda's voice is so calming.
She has an amazing admirable philosophy and way about her. These trouble men were blessed to have her in their lives. Including that handful, Foster. She sees the best in things and has had quite the life. God bless her.

I just listened to her book this week. She truly loved Elvis, and took such good care of him! She did the best she could dealing with his prescription drug issues. My heart went out to him as he struggled. He wasn’t a bad person, but he just wanted peace. We need to understand that pain, and never criticize! Dealing with Bruce Jenner was a whole different problem….hard for both of them. A book worth reading!
A wonderful book. I’ve read lots of candid memoirs of Elvis, and there was lots of warmth & respect towards her, from his inner circle as well as his family.
I like that this man asked Linda so much about herself because usually they focus on elvis or bruce jenner. She is equally as interesting.

Linda is so wonderful, love her and love how articulate she is! She was the best thing that ever happened to Elvis imo, it’s sad that it fizzled out for him. But just as with Priscilla before her, I do believe he would have still loved and cared for Linda deeply, even though he was no longer “in love” with either of them.
I honestly believe that if Priscilla didn’t have Lisa, she would have been history with him. Not saying he didn’t care for her but they wouldn’t have kept in touch as much
@@skel760 Yes, I agree. I’d even go so far as saying it’s highly probable he’d have cut ties with her completely, because I think it was his pride which was wounded the most after she left him for another man, so I doubt he’d have remained close to her after that if they never had Lisa.
I wish Linda would give more interviews, because I love hearing her stories about her years with Elvis. The Larry King appearance in 2002 should have been a good hour longer.

I don’t really shame Cilla for pushing the marriage card on him because he did influence her from a young age, made promises to her which years after the fact he wanted to walk away from including marrying her. .he told one of his cooks at Graceland, a black woman whom he trusted and confided in, how he wasn’t interested in marrying anyone at all (Cilla) and the cook told him to call off the wedding. .his response to her was: “ I can’t do that . .” . .would it have been his own failure on a promise that he couldn’t live with? . .because I doubt that Cilla was prepared to blackmail him on something . .I believe it was the idea of his own failed honor or lack of dignity which would haunt him if he didn’t measure up to a higher standard . ..he didn’t want to become his father who failed to support the family when they were miserably poor in Tupelo. ..the saddest years of their lives. .

To flip the day upside down everyday is enough to drive anyone crazy. I know a man like that. He stays up all night sleeps all day.its awful. He used to be a truck driver so he drove mostly at night. He won’t even try to function in a real world.
She is a beauty and a real lady. Her parents did a great job on her and her sibling. They are a class act.
I have come to the conclusion that when Elvis met Priscilla she was very pretty, young, naive, & moldable. It seemed she was a kept woman, who he could hide away while he hooked up with Ann Margaret & other women from his movies. Maybe he eventually married Priscilla because it was the next thing to do & was kind of expected of him. Maybe it didn’t last because they didn’t have much in common, she probably didn’t know much about life & wordly views and he hungered for more. Maybe Linda was right that he should have married a Southern girl like her.
Linda Thomson was a southern belle and lived a live in front of audiences & was confident & didn’t gush over him right off.
I love her! There is something so sincere, elegant and warm about her. I can’t get over her talent.
Linda truly was a Godsend for Elvis and Bruce. You can tell she’s very compassionate and sweet.

Drug addiction does terrible things to good people. Elvis was twisted by drug addiction in ways he could not grasp. He was a very good soul, with a terrible illness.
So sad he was legally addicted by Doctor prescription drugs for most part!
Doctors still do this . Push pharmaceuticals . But now they have to be careful because of the opiate issues and people dying . So now , you can’t get a pain pill
Spoken so well. My son was the kindest most loving person but drugs held him captive until the only way he saw to break free was tragically by suicide.

I can see why Elvis fell in love with Linda Thompson she had to of been breath takeing in her youth because she is gorgeous still to this day. I will say, no matter how things turned out, she and bruce had some very good looking sons. She is very well spoken and you can definitively tell she is well educated. Seems like a wonderful lady. I would love to meet her. I'm so impressed. Loved this interview.

I think that Elvis felt he had to live two separate lives. There's Elvis the friend, father, the man. And then there's ELVIS the Rockstar. He didn't want to disappoint his fans
Elvis blew it when he lost Linda. This woman is gorgeous, caring, intelligent, talented, etc. There's no doubt in my mind had he married her, he would have lived many more years than he did.
But that would have been at the expense of Linda's own mental and physical health. Countless women have cared for children, aging parents or a spouse with compromised health requiring constant attention and extra effort, eventually wearing down the caregiver's body and mind. Not realistically possible to continue this sort of commitment indefinitely.

I think Elvis was into deep with drugs towards the end of their relationship & was one of the reason why They drift apart- And Elvis lifestyle of the many girlfriends- that didn't give Elvis reason to fight for their relationship. As if there was always another woman to replaced (Elvis was not a type to commit into Monogamous Relationship) - And that's when Ginger Alden came into picture November 1976.

I believe Billy Smith, and his wife Jo, when they say anything about Elvis, because Billy Smith was family, so I'll take his word for it! He said that Elvis was just about to break up with Ginger Alden some time after that tour, but as we all know, he passed away before that happened!! Linda is such a sweet woman. I certainly can understand why Elvis loved her. She was so good to Elvis, and really took very good care of him when they were together. Elvis also loved Linda. I truly believe that if they would have remained together that Elvis might have lived longer but who knows. I will always love Elvis no matter what. We are all human and none of us are perfect.

Linda is an awesome woman. I really like her personality and understanding toward Elvis. I just wish that she and Elvis could have remained together. If they had maybe Elvis may have been with us longer. I really believe that if Linda would have been at Graceland on 8-16-77 Elvis may have stood a chance. I have heard so many people who worked for Elvis say that Linda kept such a close eye on Elvis and that Linda never slept until Elvis did. I'm sure that it was hard for Linda to leave but she wanted a normal life and to have children and there wasn't anything normal about Elvis's life. God Bless Him. I think that Elvis thought that Linda was going to stay. I appreciate the way that Linda took care of Elvis the 4 and a half years that they were together. Of course Elvis was more than generous to Linda and her family. Elvis bought Linda a house, bought her brother Sam a house, and bought Linda's parents a house. He also bought her lots of jewelry and a couple of cars so she was well taken care while she was with Elvis. Linda said that she never knew a more generous man than Elvis and that she would always love him.
@Karen Wallen Lisa made the call when Elvis was at the hospital, not while he still was in the bathroom- Lisa did not know he was dead as she couldn't get in to the bathroom.

Linda was truly the most loving and supportive partner to Elvis. His inner circle have also reflected this. It has also been said that although Elvis had a wicked sense of humour that she bought out this fun side of Elvis more readily. I think linda was someone who took care of Elvis as opposed to him always taking care of them. I'm so glad Elvis had Linda in his life because I believe she truly loved him for himself. 12:19
