The petting zoo thing made me think about how the invisible fences might be useful for faking guest areas with roaming Compies. Just make the area and have patches of grass and the like in it lined by invisible fences and stocked with with the little guys.
imagine just being an actual guest and then you accidently bump into one of the "guests" and you begin hearing angry squeaking noises coming from them.
I think something cool frontier could do to make the fences completely invisible is to make a fence that is under the ground and say that it is a force field that comes out the ground, idk if that makes sense.
I wish they gave us small fences as well for the smaller dinosaurs. And if raptors can climb fences I wish they gave them the ability to climb on rocks as well
Honestly, I just love the idea of using the invisible fences for close up options for more docile species and herbivores in general, they are perfect for it!
I hope they make it so that invisible fences can house pterosaurs in the future, maybe they could make a new biosyn outside Aviary hatcheries, it can give pterosaurs more room too fly and help alot out with sandbox site b builds
One thing I’ve been doing with these fences is “moat style” enclosures which you see at most irl zoos. Where there’s a short barrier with a dip in the ground to add full visibility
Another tip for invisible fences that I really like, I use the gates as speed bumps for tour vehicles, even if it's park staff driving I thinks it's still a nice touch to have them placed around
Even though invisible fences are really really good, I just wish that fronteir would give us more fences. Im building a desert oasis atm and I was making a coelophysis encolsure. It was the entrance to my park so I didn't want to obstruct my view (I dont have the dlc atm). I had to resort to the dfw concrete barrier and it was quite time consuming and doesnt look great. What if there was a low decorated fence that could be used in sandbox?
I truly like the invisible fence with the electric fence to be a fairly good distance from each other. My reasoning for that is if a guess who doesn't like to follow the rules could have a somewhat safe location for extraction of the enclosure.
Some of my dinosaurs walked out of invisible fences last night, and I think I found a bug. If you place a tour track going through them, and then remove said tour track and the invisible gates somehow the dinosaurs just seem to walk out through the fence where the gate once was. Has anyone else encountered this? Also, you get an achievement/trophy for wrangling 30 dinosaurs at once and a goat 🙂
I didn't even need to remove the gates, they njust walked through the closed gates for me. Seems to be a bug with the invisible fences and tour gates. Works perfectly fine with Gyrosphere gates but not with tour gates.
Good video as always! I immediately started lining enclosures with the invisible fences when the DLC came out, it only makes sense to me to use them if you have them, so when your velociraptors are "testing the fences", they don't rip huge holes in either the fences or themselves. But I don't like the look of paths right up against invisible fences, as it seems like it would be a danger to dinos and wandering children alike to have such non-obvious but shocking barriers. We could really use non-electrified guest sized railings in this game! Even Planet Zoo seems to forget that guests also have wandering feet, but it seems even more critical in a dinosaur park, you know? I now ALWAYS use them to double gate all exits, and I will say it actually looks pretty cool for the ride gates, kind of like how cow pastures use grates to discourage curiosity at entry points. In one park, all of the ride tracks now have invisible fences to either side as in your video here, which both looks kinda cool and helpfully keeps curious dinos from wandering onto the tracks. You correctly state that this does necessitate a track being on the edge of the a habitat, as, you know, the dinos can't cross it. But aside from just having dinosaurs on either side, you can also just put a wall on one side, giving the guests and even stronger impression of being "inside the exhibit". The petting zoo thing didn't even cross my mind, but it is happening now haha. BTW! Don't diss your personality, I'm easily bored by tutorial videos usually, but always watch yours all the way through. You're fun, and make the game more fun with your enthusiasm and creativity!
I’ve been doing the invisible fences in front of galleries tip recently and noticed that it allows ranger teams to drive through other fences. I had the security 5 JP steel fence for my enclosure and the invisible fence just around the gallery as you do it and the ranger team can drive through the steel fence where it connects with the invisible one lol. Not an issue, it’s honestly nice cause now I don’t have to hide a regular gate at the back of the enclosure haha. I assume it will be patched eventually
Also, Invisible fence + concrete fence is practical from gameplay standpoint. The I-fence is indestructible, but requires power. Meanwhile the C-fence is not power dependant, but also not indestructible. The outside C-fence would be a secondary fence for when power is out.
I think they should ad Baby Dinosaurs in a new DLC or in a new Update because I want to build a Jurassic World recreation and I need Baby Dinosaurs for my Petting Zoo. But Thank you for this tips Evo!
Homie I'm just saying I would not wanna pet a Struthiomimus when that thing could peck a hole in my skull Just joking around! As always, great video, Evo! These are very good methods to work with invisible fencing.

Luckily Uninstaller the driver update fixed it, but its back to slow loading times, oh well I can wait to see my beautiful creation. And I took a lot of inspiration from you, path work, elevation differences all the works. I'll have to check my water though now haha. Great video, always enjoy your uploads.
I'm guessing the driver was 516.40. Frontier patched the game. Look in Steam, the update should be in the download section. Once the patch is installed, you can reinstall the driver and the game should be fine again.

I'm new to this game and don't have the Dominion DLC yet, but one application that I think would look nice would be to have big enclosures bordered by normal fences, but further divided by invisible fences for the sake of separating species that do not cohabit nicely with each other. You could have a huge thematic exhibit of species of the same region, or family, or whatever, and give the illusion of them all sharing the same environment when they really should not.
I like to do petting zoos a lot, in fact I made one in a park as soon as the dlc dropped. Homalocephale, Dryosaurus and Minmi are my go tos for that kind of enclosure
The pity about invisible fences is that they don’t have a breakout animation. If Frontier's listening, please add a breakout animation for invisible fences. Like them stomping on the “fence pillars” or destroying the bar on the bottom. Also , my favorite combo for invisible fences is a electrified fencing, it’s like the dinosaurs know that they know the electrified fence would shock them, it makes them feel more real and lifelike. Homalocephale is my favorite petting zoo animal because it’s size makes it look like the guests can pick them up and hold them.
I think with the invisible fence there’d be a “class system” Class A- Small herbivores (Struthio and such), decorations and invisible fence Class B- Bigger/stronger herbivores and small carnivores (Trikes, stegos, potentially sauropods and any carnivore up to velociraptor), invisible fence and electric fence. Class C-Large carnivores and all sauropods, (carno/cerato+) concrete fence and invisible fence Class D- Hybrids (Emphasis on Indominus, Indoraptor and Scorpios) all of the layers of fencing.
With that invisible fence underwater it gives me an idea, they could finally add kayaks or some other boat and give a truly unique tour so many have been waiting for!

🚨POSSIBLE SPOILERS🚨 I think Jurassic World Dominion was great. I liked references to the first trilogy, for example when Ramsay Cole said that they have a T-rex. I wish SO BAD that there was some kind of "invisible" aviary. The quetzals just don't belong under a dome. It could be a riff on the air defence system (or whatever they called it) in Dominion.
The invisible fence being a level 6 security measure with the shock being the only reason the dinos don’t escape seems like it would have more electricity than the normal fence
i will need to test more or get confirmation but im fairly certain invisble fences also keep flying reptiles from crossing over. If that is true an enclosure with flying reptiles living with dinosaurs would be tedious but possible, again idk if its true or a major coincidence i had
When I set the buildings on sandbox to biosyn sanctuary I get the invisible fences instead of concrete. How do you get all the different fences in one?

@@EvolutionSquare Wow this sucks
@@mrpotato2410 true
The invisible fence being a level 6 security measure with the shock being the only reason the dinos don’t escape seems like it would have more electricity than the normal fence
I know, like I said tho: you gotta use your imagination ;)
My only question is how do you have so many fences? Are they all the fences from the preset building skins? I've gotta know!
I’ve been using some of these tips in my security compound build. ;)
I really like your petting zoo idea
i will need to test more or get confirmation but im fairly certain invisble fences also keep flying reptiles from crossing over. If that is true an enclosure with flying reptiles living with dinosaurs would be tedious but possible, again idk if its true or a major coincidence i had
In my Biosyn sanctuary the invisible fences have no effect on flying reptiles
@@EvolutionSquare damn ok just a wild coincidence then xD
Are you only able to use invisible fences on sandbox after you complete the dominion campain?
When I set the buildings on sandbox to biosyn sanctuary I get the invisible fences instead of concrete. How do you get all the different fences in one?
