Thanks. To be honest, I've thought just as much about life and happiness as I have about PRI. Both are all about "letting go" of something. They aren't different.
Neal Hallinan damn... what you wrote here is exactly the same conclusion I came to. The things you say in the video also seem so familiure. It literally feels like you had the exact same thoughts I have at the time. The only problem is that I just can‘t *let go*
Neal.l know l repeat myself. But you are just UNBELIEVABLE. lt is all so true and l have experienced it all myself the hard way. Getting better following your advice. Thank you.
Currently going trough a bit of an existential crisis. Were its starting to feel that all the ''pushing trough'' ''doing the right thing even if it feels bad'' that ive done as an obedient kid and teenager might have been the cause of all my problems. Always obligation has come before happiness, and more often than not hat obligation was posture exercises, going to yet another doctor to get yet another treatment prescrived, be it therapy that never worked, orthotics that never helped, or glasses that caused me headaches, even eye surgery that just made my vision worse. And practically never just being happy and getting whatever im asking for, be it a video game or to go watch a movie. And having this deep down feeling that no medical treatment helped and that i only felt physically well when i was happy and could let my guard down. Now ive got very slight scoliosis wich im pretty sure has been caused by a whole life of ''straight back, chest forward, shoulders back'' faking of good posture, eye problems mostly caused by a wrong surgery, and just an inability to be comfortable no matter were i am, even tho ive been a good boy and done all my homework and done all the exercises the doctor recomended.
the biggest aha moment was when I realized the hip rotation against the lower jaw .... and the impact its has on the cervical occipital area ..... how an nerve impingement on a shoulder can create hell on earth as you cant get out of the left side .... and all that posterio anterio chain is doomed until I stepped in and fought with a pain that at first I've thought might kill me .... and gradually with exercise , small steps got better .. my eyes and posture improved ... same as my mechanics ...now my but and shoulders are stronger then ever ...... same as my feet ....
I’m glad this video isn’t about some weird techniques. Straight to the point. I actually feel better since a week as i exercises a minimal approach to social media. And that last point about not being in control is my biggest stressor
I think that is most people's biggest stressor. For example, Google updates have now twice destroyed my website traffic and my business plummets. It's unbelievable. And I have no control over it.
Neal Hallinan Sorry about that, sir. I think your videos are precious. Everyone should have access to them. How many people can make a link btw field of vision and chronic inflammation ? You are the only one talking about such issues.
hello, I'm thinking about buying a guitar, but i have some neck isues and shoulder issues. Do you have any opinion about playing guitar with regards to PR? Thank you
I'm right bc pattern and pec pattern, i used to play basketball and pc games, which i guess overloaded my right side. So i started watching your videos and some 8 months ago or so, I had terrible ankle pain. Thanks to your advice the pain from the ankle and the hip is almost gone. Now I am having some issues with neck and shoulder and the small finger from the right foot. Youre awesome.
im learning typing and later gonna play piano great thing to learn the automatic mode when inner monkey doesn't jump in every second distracting and typing with rythm I can check right away what focusi have in that moment or flow or no go and it teaches that real focus can kick in only after 10-15 minutesand every bullshit resets forcing you to get again to the state all way from start while you get tired so it's impossible without rests
Neal I would argue that we do have SOME control for instance. Someone who is fat is probably someone who has more stress and anxiety compared to if they were actually fit. So in that sense I think life can get a little bit easier if they chose to be fit...
That is a very shortsighted comment. Some people are fat BECAUSE of stress (read about cortisol and fat). Some people are fat because of epigenetic/genetic reasons (read about hypogonadism) Some people are too busy working and feeding their family to take the time and energy to "get fit". They buy the most calorie dense food to save money and they have to eat "bad".
By the way. I might be wrong but l have a feeling that PRI has changed your perception of life and maybe you as a person. This is a kind of what l am experiencing now gradually. Sorry.Just a thought.
Oh, it certainly has. However, I would say reading Buddhist psychology had the biggest influence on how I view life. When I discovered PRI, I realized PRI and Buddhism describe the same phenomena as the key to healing- "letting go" of painful patterns-one being neuromuscular and the other is a destructive pattern of thought.
Ive never liked this type of advice. If the way to be happy and relaxed is to belive that no one is really fully happy, and that even if you defeat your current issues other ones that are just as big are gonna appear... Thats called coping, ''it doesnt get much better than this so why worry''. Its a little hard to buy into this mindset when i see all the sad mediocre people arround me say these things, meanwhile the happy, atractive, smart relaxed and talented ones dont say such things. I remember as a kid getting all excited and inspired, be it by a superhero, famous person, or in general someone who is cool and who you wanna be like, and always getting a '''bah, dont even bother kid, its all fake'' and when i ask whats fake about that person and point out to someone in shape and good looking, they cant rly point out physical flaws so they just hit you with the ''well i bet deep down they are as insecure as everyone else'' and the message always boils down to ''dont even try to excel because youll end up just as flawed as the rest of us, just more tired''
You can actually feel it through your you tube videos Neal. Thank you once again for being a true HUMAN BEING.
Perhaps one of the best motivational speech I’ve ever heard, very simple to understand. Thank you 🙏🏼

This was something new and different from you Neal, but i actually quite enjoyed it and would like to see more of these kinds of videos

How do PRI change the sympathetic to parasympathetic?the mechanic of it?
Every single aspect of PRI works at the level of the autonomic nervous system.
@@NealHallinan I have sent you Gmail..I really need that PRI..pls can we hav session asap?
Neal would you consider pri an "escape?" If not, why?
An "escape"? I'm not quite sure what you mean. I need more context.
@@NealHallinan you referred to yoga and reading a book as an escape... just wondering if pri is the same?
