Thanks, yeah, this part of Colorado is truly amazing. Everyone is into the outdoors. Cycling, running, rafting…everyone is doing something, and you wouldn’t believe the age of some of them. It’s true what they say, “don’t let the old man in”. Thanks for tuning in 👍
Thank you so much, I really appreciate that. I have my last pre-race vlog prepared. I just want to add some of the action that will go down today before uploading. Thanks for following along.
Thanks so much Joan. I really appreciate the support. The nerves are starting to kick in now but I’m also excited to get out there and see what I can do 👍💪🏃🏻♂️
Dave, you appear to be in great shape. Well done on all the preparation you've put in. Rootin' for you as the big day draws near !! Congratulations to Claire on all her success in recent events too. 😘
Well done Dave, another great video my friend and as always get an insight into how the training is going. You are well prepared, and I am looking forward to following your progress and seeing the last video. Well done to Claire on her half marathon and her age category win too. :-)
Thanks Tadeusz. Future tense is required on your second sentence. Training has gone well alright but the race is not until this coming Saturday. I will do one final recce tomorrow and then it will be big time chill-time. This one is going to be EPIC!!!
Thanks for reaching out Tom. You will be far better served finding a qualified coach to train you. They’re the pro’s. I myself have recently joined a running club to help improve my pace. Fundamentally though my advice is: 1. Run as often as you can. 2. Try to get your cumulative weekly mileage up to 50 miles. 3. Do a mix of running (fast, slow, road, trail) 4. Build an unbreakable running consistency. 5. Don’t rush it, enjoy the journey 6. The journey is the reward 😊💪🏃🏻♂️
