Great in-depth video, no one has done a better job at documenting the steps to protecting the ski from the weather. Thanks for taking the time. Now let’s take care of that rum and coke 😉
Best and most detailed Video for me so far. Your little "extras" on the sideline prevent first-timers like me havin' a bad day and searching for srews and other things inside the hull 😂👍 Thx
I am no brain surgeon, but what I always do when I am taking bolts/nuts out is simply lay a big towel across/under the area where you are working and taking the bolts out. Doesn't matter if it's a jet ski or a car. If the bolt is down under, you lay the towel under neath or on the bottom. If the screw/nut falls to the bottom, you simply fold up the towel the best you can remove the towel. Odds are the bolt/screw will be in the towel. Trust me, it works and works well.
Awesome video, thanks for doing this. I'm still waiting on my 2022 Wake 170 but will be following this to do the oil change and winterisation myself (that's if it even arrives before winter!!)
Thanks for sharing great info. I like how you didn’t run your motor and still was able to put anti freeze in. My starter went and need to put something in exhaust asap
I have the 2022 Seadoo Wake Pro 230, 1630 ACE engine. Is that the same engine in this video? I’m curious about the exhaust being filled with antifreeze. Is it ok for me to follow this procedure on my machine for winterization. I’m in NC and we get sub freezing temps for 3-4 months during the year. My other question is the 3.25 quarts of oil, is that the right amount for my engine as well? Great video for guys like me who want to learn to take this on.
Here's my worry. You're not supposed to tow with the engine off without pinching the water line due to the possibility of water being forced through the exhaust and into the cylinders. You put antifreeze in and then chased it with air. What keeps it from going into the cylinders via the exhaust on cylinders with the exhaust valve open?
I have the same worry, but nobody discussed this. I think there is a possibility of pushing/blowing air with remaining water into cylinders if valves are open.
@@hydraulicsBut on a 4 stroke, that's not good enough because the antifreeze would be caught in the valve train and then mix in with your engine's oil.
I fkd up held brake in insted of gas and it started with no oil for couple seconds there was alittle left in there but mostly oil was out you think i damage my seadoo
Does it matter that the engine was cranked after fogging the cylinders? Will cranking it push the fog out of the cylinder? Sorry if you answered already
A buddy of mine bought a used see doo. Takes on water to the point where you will sink but only when he’s on the throttle. At 9:18 you mention an exhaust line. Think that’s it
Great Video!! This summer I upgraded to a 2020 Sea-Doo GTX 230 from a 2012 130. I'm familiar with the winterizing my non super charged non intercooler Seadoo. I also blow mine out (55psi) then fill system with RV anti freeze. Is this the same procedure for ski's with an intercooler?? Thx (Northern Ontario)
Do not put more pressure than the supercharger supplies. 10-15 Psi only. Plenty to blow the water out. Also you could simply start and blip the throttle there is plenty of exhaust air flow at 4K RPM to clear water from the exhaust. Do not exceed 4500 RPM when revving out of water with no load, impeller is left threaded and can unspin. If you want to remove water leftovers from water box, simply undo the clamp from the water box rubber hose and insert oil evac pump you use for oil change, or small shop vac to get rid of all the water leftovers from water box. Keep shop vac away from engine bay to prevent shop vac sparks from igniting combustible fumes inside engine bay.
After fogging don’t put plugs in and crank all the fogging oil over your new plugs. Place a cloth over the plug holes and put it in drowning mode and then put new plugs in
@@garototrilha Hold the throttle wide open and crank. It will turn over but no fuel will flow or spark. Its a good way to pump the water out should it flood

This one we left the battery in because its in a somewhat warm garage. We will charge it 2 time over the winter. If you machine is sitting in the extreme cold bring the battery inside where its warm for the winter and also charge it a couple times.

As someone who lived in Albany County, I can tell you I put the antifreeze in and then cranked the engine to get it thru the engine. Then put in some more. It's not going to hurt anything and better safe then sorry. I also fogged the engine too. Then I put one big silver tarp over it as well as a jet ski cover under it. Because air is the more preferred method. Liquid vs no liquid. Easy peasy
