Great video, and thanks ! One suggestion, never ever fill up the fuel tank to full ! Gasoline expend ! Fuel stabilizer takes care of fuel, no need to fill the tank all the way up. If the sun heats up your fuel tank for any reason, you will experience overflow, even if your gas cap is tied good, the gas will stain your seadoo badly !
I was more curious if I had to do the engine but I’ve been told it’s sealed with antifreeze already in it so you do not have to touch that and you only have to winterize the outdrive which I did with a small pump and a hose. Thank you everyone for your comments
@@Joe_Mission you went from removing the oil "typically this is done through the dipstick /fill tube" to oh the top of the hull is now removed and I'm I'm changing the filter.
@@brentgeeter7325 pretty much. I’ll run it on my driveway on the hose for a minute to rinse out the antifreeze from the exhaust system. And, some guys like to put new spark plugs in after the cylinders sit all winter with fogging oil in them, but yeah. Basically, assuming you did everything by the book (including stabilizing the fuel), put gas in and go.
Quick question? If you only used 2-3 times during the season, do you have to do the step where you spray anti corrosive in the plug holes where the spark plugs go? Also, I’m thinking it wouldn’t need an oil change either? Thanks!!
This one is probably sealed with a closed coolant system, like a car or truck, unlike others or even outboard motors that are water cooled. You can either blow out the water from the drive system or blow it out and run coolant through it
Hello I flushed my JetSki out with water the last time I rode it. Do I still need to run water through the pump and blow the water out of the exhaust? Because it’s already dry and flushed how it is. Thanks
Complete hood removal is not required to change oil or plugs - only done for better visual. If you do ever need additional access to engine, it's just series of nuts and bolts to gain access.
I wish I had watched this video before buying a jet ski. I would never have bought a jet ski if I knew you had to spend hundreds of dollars and 20 hours taking the thing apart and yelling in frustration just to winterize it every year.
They don't tend to lose their value, finding even a 4 year old one for cheap is nigh impossible unless it's got something really wrong with it. Look at Craigs, and you'll see most people asking more for a used one than if you just went and got the damn thing off the showroom floor yourself.
Why would you turn the ski on after applying fogging oil.... that’s just going burn it out... you can crank the motor without the coil packs if u want to make sure it completely lines the cylinder walls but turning the ski on is an epic fail...
. he held the throttle wide open it while cranking it and that distributes the fogging oil on cylinder walls. It wont start up and burn fog oil if you hold throttle wide open. why it somehow fired up is strange he must not have held the throttle fully wide open i guess . i never have a problem.
This is the worst tutorial, too loud music, moves too fast, and doesn’t go into proper detail behind stuff, like removing the cover on the engine, you don’t just clip away from a process like that
My dude took off the whole damn thing

Easy as 1, 2, 3…….4, 5, 6, 7….
Either way. I appreciate the video.
With a huge missing step in the middle
What's the missing step

@@thomasinnis2370 oh I see what you mean. Not my video BTW was just asking.
You guys need to make a video on how to de-winterize at the start of the season
Put the battery back in, start it up, and have fun! :D

Hello
How Match XPs Fuel Stabilizer for one tank
Thanks
Umm when do you flush with antifreeze??? Isn't that the main part of winterizing?

Most vids I have seen show them flushing antifreeze through it. He may be in FL?

Great video but can’t hear what you’re saying because of background music

How much fuel or stabilizer?
Lol. Whole top of the hull just dissappears for easy access?
Does it really matter what air pressure you use, 55 psi and up
So the video really explains: “Just go and send it to a workshop and pay us lots of money” half the crap is not needed to do
He said simple then used a cut away and took the hull apart seems like a non user friendly design for access to the engine

The music in the background 😵💫
do i have to do anything on the trim part of a spark trixx???
Yeah I was going to do this myself but I am just going to have the guy do it😬😂
completely Awesome
After blowing the water out, when I see no more come out, I can still hear some bubbling in the seadoo, sounds like a lot…
This is where I’m at. What did you decide to do? I tried up to 100 PSI and it doesn’t come out
A few simple steps? You took half of it apart.
That seemed like alot. Bet most people dont do all that
We at TorontoPWC.com always remove the top deck during winter service with seadoo sparks. @torontopwc on IG
@@TorontoPWC Sounds like you do it right!
Popping the top on a SPARK is nothing more than nuts and bolts... You got this!
Removing top deck on a spark takes what? 15 mins?

Curious question why do you put a garden hose to it and run water through it if you just gonna blow it out with air anyway.
Fred
Thinking the same thing. Only logical conclusion I reached was to flush salt out of the system if it was a ocean doo!
Instead of the hose, I’ve always used a bucket with antifreeze and a pump, and pump antifreeze through till it pisses pink.
What about fogging???
May apply to Spark but not all models obviously.
I'll be looking for a used or leftover lime/jalapeno trixx for next summer!

So what you're telling me here is to have someone else do it. Got it
Is there any company to hire to do this during winter
Winterize? Already? It's still 40°F
Probably very useful information.
But, I couldn't hear any of it over the annoying music.
Maybe next time.
